Yaya Sanogo made his first start for Arsenal's first team in the FA Cup match against Liverpool and impressed even in the absence of a goal.

The 21 year-old forward was given his first start in an important match and the moment didn't look too big for him. While he didn't score, he was dangerous with his combination of speed, strength and long limbs. His best sequence was when he won the ball in the box, controlled it, and volleyed it towards goal only to see it blocked. The rebound found it's way to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Arsenal's first goal. Given his performance it seems likely that Wenger will give him a chance to move ahead of Nicklas Bendtner as Olivier Giroud's main deputy. So long as this is his role, he has minimal fantasy value but an extended run of matches could see him produce some value at a low price.

Despite a defensive approach and the return of key man Manuel Lanzini, West Ham were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

West Ham set up in a 5-4-1 with Pablo Zabaleta and debutante Patrice Evra deployed on the flanks, while Javier Hernandez was dropped to the bench with Marko Arnautovic preferred up front. However, the changes were not enough to stunt Liverpool's attack. Arnautovic was forced a pair of acrobatic saves from Lorius Karius in the first-half, creating both chances due to a lack of service. Down 1-0 after the restart, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored inside six minutes to triple the deficit. Michail Antonio replaced Lanzini in after 58 minutes and scored a minute later, but the Reds responded through Sadio Mane. The defeat sees West Ham slide to 13th, now just three points above the drop zone.

Mohamed Salah scored for the sixth successive match and set another as Liverpool moved into second place with a 4-1 win over West Ham.

Liverpool were dominate throughout and opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark, with Emre Can heading home from a Salah corner. Salah, who was denied by the post early on, made it 2-0 in the 51st minute his 23rd goal league goal of the season after a nice pass from Oxlade-Chamberlian. Firmino extended the lead soon after, collecting Can's ball over the top and rounding Adrian for the third. The Hammers pulled one back two minutes later, but it was a mere consolation as Sadio Mane capped the affair in the 77th. The win sends Liverpool a point above Manchester United into second place, on 57 points, putting pressure on Jose Mourinho's side ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Bournemouth sealed an epic comeback, all in the last 10 minutes, in a 2-2 draw at home against Newcastle.

Down 2-0, it all started in the 80th minute when defender Adam Smith smashed a volley off the crossbar and down into the goal. The run was started by Joshua King's quick pass to Lewis Cook down the left wing before the midfielder found Smith outside of the area to cut the lead in half. Then, it was a mad spring to the end as Newcastle looked to hold onto its first-half lead. But in the 89th minute, Bournemouth struck gold when Nathan Ake sent a ball across the center of the box to Dan Gosling, who tapped in the effort to a wild Vitality Stadium for the point.

Manolo Gabbiadini scored from off the bench in the 90th minute to rescue a point for Southampton as they escape Turf Moor with a 1-1 draw.

Things are getting interesting around the relegation zone as the Saints plod there way to another point, having won just one league match since Week 13. The are in 15th at the moment but level on points with 18th placed Huddersfield. Their attack, which has been poor more often than not, was especially so in this one, with Guido Carillo once again providing nothing from the striker position in a starting role. One Burnley went ahead after the hour mark, the result looked settled. But two substitutes would come to the rescue. Josh Sims got a rare run out and provided a spark. He would collect the assist with a cross to Gabbiadini in the 90th minute, the latter volleying home from close range. The goal ends a 16 game drought for the Italian and perhaps he will get the nod ahead of Carillo next weekend.

Burnley looked destined to grab their first win since before Christmas but they conceded an equalizer in the 90th minute and had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Southampton.

The point keeps Burnley in 7th position, which underscores just how fantastic they were in the first half of the season. It was a typical Turf Moor affair and with an opponent who has had their struggles offensively, a clean sheet looked imminent as Stephen Ward made his return to left back. The first half was non-eventful as neither side could get a threat going forward. Burnley started to pressure more in the second frame and the kettle finally boiled over on 68 minutes when Jeff Hendrick, who played in a #10 role today, would get credited for an assist after his ball resulted in a scramble in front of goal and Ashley Barnes was able to beat the keeper and bury home. That appeared game over as Southampton showed little fight to equalize but the Clarets were done in by one moment of execution by the Saints. Burnley will continue their search for a win at home next weekend with a visit from Everton.

Reports suggest that Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus will be included in Sundays Carabao Cup final squad after passing fitness tests.

Speaking ahead of the clash with Arsenal, Guardiola revealed that Sterling had missed the FA Cup fifth-round defeat at Wigan after picking up a hamstring strain in Basle six days earlier. The City boss admitted that he "did not know" if the winger would recover in time, but news on Saturday broke confirming he had been cleared by the club’s medical department. Gabriel Jesus is also expected to join his teammate in the City squad at Wembley following his return to full training. "He made the third training session and every day he is better," Pep said in Fridays press conference. That just leaves Benjamin Mendy on the treatment table, although the defender is progressing well, and could be back in April. Fabian Delph is the only other absentee as he begins a three-match ban following his dismissal at the DW Stadium.

Yohan Cabaye has been added to an ever-growing Crystal Palace injury list after sustaining a groin strain in training.

Roy Hodgson confirmed on Friday that the Eagles "have 12 players out now," more than half of which were first-team regulars. However, with only eleven players listed as injured, the mystery behind who was the 12th man wasn’t revealed until later that evening following a press embargo. Former Newcastle midfielder Cabaye was injured during Thursdays session and he now faces a race against time to make the clash with Manchester United next weekend. An extensive casualty list - which includes the likes of Scott Dann, Loftus-Cheek, Mamadou Sakho, Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp – leaves Hodgson with little option but to include some of his fringe players. Jairo Riedewald [3 PL starts] and Erdal Rakip [who is yet to play a single minute since his arrival from Malmo] could come into the side while Damien Delaney [frozen out this season] looks set to partner James Tomkins in the heart of defence.

Stoke City, who are mired in the relegation zone, let go of a potential road win after Jack Butland's own goal lead to a 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

The Potters came into the weekend with the league's worst record on the road, so even though a result at Leicester can be looked as a positive, two huge additional points fell through their hands. The first half offered little until near the break, when Joe Allen dispossessed the ball in midfield and quickly fed Xherdan Shaqiri, who sprinted into the area before slotting a low strike into the corner. Shaqiri now has goals in three straight. The Leicester crowd were not their usual selves and it felt like the Potters might see the game out, but a cross in the 70th minute that Jack Butland should have handled rather easily instead was directed straight into the net. To his credit, he made a couple of quality saves down the stretch to keep the match level, but he will definitely be upset with the game's most critical moment.

Riyad Mahrez, who fell out of favor after a botched attempted move late last month to Manchester City, returned to Leicester City's starting XI today but it was not enough to beat Stoke at home as they needed some help to earn a 1-1 draw.

Mahrez was kept out of the XI for the last three league games, but all water appears under the bridge now, as the former Player of the Year returned to his starting role. He was the only player that looked to offer much of any threat for much of the first half but it would be Stoke that would take the lead just before the break. It was a scrappy affair for much of the afternoon, the kind which looked good for the Potters to pull off the upset, but the Foxes caught a break. In the 70th minute, Marc Albrighton, who had shifted to right back moments earlier, swung a cross in that the Stoke keeper redirected in for an own goal. For the final 20 minutes, the momentum shifted and it was all Leicester. However, they could not find a winner despite several big chances. Two times, the ball hit the post, once from a Mahrez shot, the other from Harry Maguire, who was following up on a another Mahrez attempt. The point moves Leicester up to seventh in the table for the time being.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel faces a selection dilemma at center-back as both Wes Morgan and Aleksandar Dragovic are fit for Saturday's match against Stoke City.

Morgan returned from a hamstring injury and completed the full 90 minutes in last Friday's 1-0 FA Cup Fifth Round victory over Sheffield United following a six-week spell on the sidelines. Morgan was the first-choice partner for Harry Maguire during the first-half of the season, and while he could retain his place this weekend, Dragovic has done well enough to make the decision a tough one. "We have a squad with good competition between players," said Puel. "All this competition pushes the players to bid for their place and it is a good thing." Meanwhile, the absence of Shinji Okazaki (knee) is likely to result in a start for either Fousseni Diabate or Kelechi Iheanacho.

Huddersfield Town will be without midfield anchor Aaron Mooy on Saturday against West Brom as he recovers from a knee injury.

The Australia international is currently sidelined by a knee infection and will miss at least this weekend's match before he returns. Without Mooy for the trip to The Hawthorns, manager David Wagner will be forced to assess his options and starting XI. Wagner has preferred a 4-3-3 formation away from home this season, while the 4-5-1 formation used in the win over Bournemouth is another viable choice. Wagner has two defensive-minded options in Phil Billing and Danny Williams, while attacking midfielder Alex Pritchard is back in contention after being ineligible for last week's FA Cup defeat at Manchester United.
