Yaya Sanogo had a golden opportunity to draw Arsenal even in stoppage time but he put his shot way over the bar and Arsenal lost 1-0 away at Stoke.

Arsenal's attack was listless all day but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came on late to provide some opportunities. The best one he created came in stoppage time when he got to the touch line and centered back for a wide open Yaya Sanogo. The Arsenal forward was under no pressure but he never got over the ball and he sent it well over the cross bar. Opportunity lost. City and Chelsea have also dropped points at Stoke this season but these were points that Arsenal couldn't afford to drop with matches against Everton, Spurs, Chelsea, and Manchester City coming up in the league along with critical FA Cup and Champions League matches.

Sunderland waiting until the last possible moment to earn a critical point in the relegation race with a stoppage-time equalizer.

Jermain Defoe proved to be the Black Cats' hero once again after baiting Geoff Cameron into a tackle at the edge of the 18-yard box that was signaled for a penalty. The Premier League veteran stepped to the spot and delivered with a blast into the bottom right corner of the net away from a diving Jakob Haugaard in the fourth and final minute of stoppage time. The goal sealed the 1-1 draw and a point that pulls them one point past Norwich City, who has two games in hand, and into 18th place, just a point behind Newcastle.

Andre Wisdom and Timm Klose will not play any part in the Canaries relegation run-in after suffering serious knee injuries.

Wisdom has ended his loan spell at the club after the defender suffered a knee ligament injury during the dying moments of the game against Sunderland. "Andre is out for the remainder of the season," the Canaries boss told Norwich's YouTube channel. "He is away back to Liverpool now. He was a loan player, so there is no point in him hanging about here, he needs to go start his rehab there." Alex Neil also confirmed Swiss defender Timm Klose won't play again in 2015/16: "He isn't going to be right between now and the end of the season. We need to come to terms with that and move on. It's going to be a slow process for him."

Andros Townsend delivered a cracking free kick goal and Karl Darlow stopped a Crystal Palace penalty chance as Newcastle United move out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over the Eagles.

Palace looked the likelier side to score in the opening 45 minutes, as the Magpies had a couple of opportunities come up empty. Jack Colback sent a dangerous ball into the area but Moussa Sissoko could not get a clean foot on it. Colback then missed a curling effort inside the area. It was Townsend who finally broke through in the 58th minute, drawing a foul a few yards outside the box then sent a sizzling free kick that popped the far corner of the net. Newcastle tried to park the bus but Sissoko was adjudged to have committed handball and former Magpie Yohan Cabaye had a chance to equalize from the spot. His kick was not wide enough and Darlow made the huge save that could mean the difference in the club's season. Sunderland still have a game in hand and a better goal difference record but their crosstown rivals have the benefit of facing lowly Aston Villa next weekend.

Mark Noble led West Ham to a huge win over West Brom by a score of 3-0.

Noble scored twice to give West Ham a very comfortable lead. He remains a solid midfielder but fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see this type of performance more than once a season. The other goal came from Cheikhou Kouyate, who is worth playing in very deep leagues only.

Troy Deeney scored two goals in added time to give Watford a 3-2 win over Aston Villa.

The striker saved Watford from embarrassment as they almost lost to a horrible Aston Villa side. THey played the last 20 minutes a man up after Aly Cissokho was sent off for a silly challenge. Watford have finished the season on a horrible note overall, and this win gives them hope as they will be looking forward to next season.

Guus Hiddink confirms Gary Cahill and John Terry will return to Mondays' match day squad when the Blues take on London rivals Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

The Dutchman revealed Terry has recovered from the Achilles problem which kept him side-lined for the last month while Cahill missed the win at Bournemouth due to illness. In their absence, Hiddink opted for John Obi Mikel to partner Branislav Ivanovic in the heart of the Chelsea defence leaving youngster Matt Miazga on the bench, however, it’s a combination we’ll not be seeing again any time soon. With the skipper not ready to play 90 minutes just yet, Cahill should return to the line-up. Eden Hazard is also expected to be named in the starting XI following his brace in the 4-1 victory at the Vitality.

Luke Shaw is confident he can return from injury before the end of the season after stepping up his recovery from a double leg fracture in recent weeks.

Speaking to MUTV the 20-year-old revealed: "At the moment, my leg feels really great every time I go outside. There was a bit of aching at the start but now they are all gone." Louis van Gaal had always maintained that Shaw would come into contention if United were able to reach the Europa League final on May 18. However, winning last weekends’ semi-final in the FA Cup keeps Luke Shaw’s hopes of playing again in 2015/16 alive. Following months of gym and pool work, his rehabilitation is "going really well" although the club will err on the side of caution and Shaw won’t be rushed. "I am just going to keep pushing now until the end of the season and see what happens."

Manchester City will once again have to do without midfield maestro David Silva, possibly for the remainder of the season, due to a hamstring injury.

The midfielder was taken off in the 40th minute against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg after feeling his hamstring and signaling to be taken off immediately. The injury came just after manager Manuel Pellegrini professed his hope that Silva had overcome a persistent ankle injury that he struggled with throughout the season. But now Pellegrini said he will miss the next two to three weeks and may not even return this season unless the club advances to the Champions League final at the end of next month.

Tim Howard will officially get the sending off Everton fans were hoping for despite not being listed as the club's No. 1 goalkeeper.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez confirmed that Howard will start in the club's two remaining home games to allow the Goodison Park faithful to give him a proper sendoff before his move to the Colorado Rapids this summer after more than nine years at the club. That means the American international, who hasn't started a league match in two months, will be the starting keeper at home against Bournemouth this weekend as well as the season finale against Norwich City in Week 38. Meanwhile, Joel Robles will start both away fixtures in Week 37 against Leicester City and Sunderland.

Odion Ighalo looks likely to feature for Watford against Aston Villa this weekend despite the passing of his father last weekend.

Odion Ighalo was mourning the passing of his father as the Hornets were eliminated from the FA Cup last weekend but it appears that he will play out the season or at least Week 36 against Aston Villa. Ighalo has seen his fortunes tail off over the second half of the season after an exceptional first half where he and Troy Deeney willed Watford to enough points for another season in the top flight. Ighalo is one of the tougher fantasy calls going into the last two weeks. He has three matches over Weeks 36 and 37 including home to Aston Villa this weekend. That sounds like value but his performances over the past few weeks would indicate otherwise.

Saido Berahino and Ben Foster face late fitness tests ahead of West Brom's match with West Ham at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies had their say on the title race on Monday when they held Spurs to a draw. The outcome was a big deal in the grander scheme of the title race but it might have taken it's toll on a couple of West Brom players. Saido Berahino and Ben Foster both came away nursing ankle injuries and neither are sufficiently recovered to be definite participants against West Ham on Saturday. Check both as close to kick-off as you can before making any line-up decisions.
