Billy Jones' return against Fulham was short lived as he exited just before the half and has been ruled out for the next month with a hamstring injury.

With the club only a point out of the relegation zone, news comes that West Brom will be without Billy Jones for the month of March. Judging from what happened earlier in the season - and as recently as a few weeks ago against Chelsea - Steven Reid is likely to deputize for Jones as the Baggies fight to stay up in the Premier League another year.

Kyle Walker had to exit Tottenham's match against Liverpool during the first half because of an illness.

Walker did not look right from the start and had a rough time trying to contain the runs of Philippe Coutinho. He was removed in the 27th minute and replaced by Vincent Janssen, Janssen causes Dele Alli to drop into a deeper midfield role with Eric Dier covering at right back. With the international break coming up, Walker should be feeling better in time for Week 4.

James Morrison finally played a full 90 minutes in Albion's midweek visit to Northampton and is in contention to start again in the Premier League in Week 3.

The visit of Middlesbrough combined with transfer activity and some strong performances from Albion youth have Tony Pulis' starting eleven for this weekend a bit of a mystery. James Morrison played the full 90 in midweek signaling his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury last season. Sam Field was dubbed "the best player on the pitch" in midweek and could earn playing time as could new arrival Brendon Galloway who can play center back or left back.

With Olivier Giroud still coming back from his summer exertions, it seems likely that Alexis Sanchez will line up as a central forward for the third week in a row at Watford.

There are two things to note here. First, Sanchez hasn't been very effective playing in a center forward role either in his two appearances this season or on the rare occasion that Arsene Wenger has deployed him there in the past. The second is that Sanchez should be back to playing a wide attacking role soon with Giroud back and Lucas looking like he'll be ready to go after the international break after passing his medical at Arsenal following his transfer from Deportivo la Coruna.

Arsene Wenger indicated in his press conference that it would be a last minute decision as to whether Mesut Ozil would be ready to start on Saturday.

We know that Ozil is sharp enough to participate because he came on and was bright in a cameo against Leicester City last weekend. Heading into Week 3, the question is whether he has achieved sufficient fitness to start against the Hornets at Vicarage Road. Wenger has traditionally been conservative when it comes to these decisions and with an international break coming up, it wouldn't be a surprise if Ozil were to contribute off the bench for a second week in a row.

Daryl Janmaat has come in to Vicarage Road this week but Walter Mazzarri has indicated that all three of his new signings are unlikely to start this weekend.

It may have to wait until after the international break with Janmaat being one of the later signings for the Hornets. With Roberto Pereyra and Younes Kaboul also having arrived this week, Mazzarri is likely to try to keep the upheaval to a minimum with Arsenal arriving at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Expecting Janmaat to start this weekend would be a pretty huge leap.

Roberto Pereyra has arrived at Watford but his status is uncertain for Week 3 against Arsenal at Vicarage Road.

The former Juventus man could be a significant addition for the Hornets who clearly need an attacking spark from midfield. It is reasonable to expect that we'll get to see at least a cameo appearance against Arsenal in Week 3 but with Walter Mazzarri saying that all three of his new arrivals - Pereyra, Kaboul and Janmaat - would be unlikely to start together Pereyra's status isn't obvious. Assuming that he adapts well he should be a starter after the international break.

With Jack Butland being brought back slowly from injury, Shay Given will get his third consecutive start in net for the Potters against Everton at Goodison Park.

With Ronald Koeman figuring things out at Everton and getting Yannick Bolasie and Romelu Lukaku up to speed, picking Given is a questionable-at-best decision. There is a case that he'll likely be called on to make lots of saves so there is some potential in formats where saves are well-rewarded. For those formats where a clean sheet is paramount, Given should be ignored.

Xherdan Shaqiri is up to his old tricks missing matches and being questionable for others with no word on whether he'll participate at Everton on Saturday.

It's getting to the point that Shaqiri is in the Andy Carroll zone as it regards being an injury risk any and every time he steps on a field for a match or training. Shaqiri may play on Saturday but there appears to be at least as good a chance that he's out for the second consecutive match leaving Stoke City a questionable-at-best attacking proposition across the board.

With Glen Johnson still not ready for action, Phil Bardsley will get his third consecutive start to begin the season.

Johnson seems likely to be back after the international break that comes in the first weekend of September. That means that fantasy managers should consider Bardsley nothing more than a temporary fix. As temporary fixes go, he isn't a great one this weekend with Stoke City looking vulnerable on the road against the Toffees.

Philippe Coutinho is dealing with a hamstring complaint and will need to have a late fitness test today before Jurgen Klopp can determine if the midfielder will be fit for Liverpool's early kickoff against Tottenham tomorrow.

According to Klopp, "the muscle is a little stiff" in Coutinho's leg, and has been during the week which is why the Brazilian was not risked for the Reds cup match against Burton Albion. It will be a shortened week of training for Coutinho if does indeed feature for the Reds tomorrow but it is a big match against Spurs and after the loss to Burnley last week, Klopp might feel some pressure in getting Coutinho in the game. It certainly is bad news for the many owners who invested in him after such impressive performance against Arsenal in Week 1. Even if he starts, the odds are he will play a truncated shift.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who was part of Portugal’s Euro 2016-winning squad, has signed a one-year contract with Chelsea after spending the past two seasons with Dinamo Zagreb.

Eduardo will provide experienced competition and cover for Asmir Begovic and Thibaut Courtois. It is likely he will push Begovic, for the No.2 role, rather then pose a threat to Courtois in the starting XI. Eduardo was first-choice for Zagreb the past two seasons and has the pedigree to dethrone Begovic. At the World Cup in 2010, Eduardo was Portugal's first-choice keeper, conceding just one goal in four appearances and has 35 international caps in total. In short, a few strong performances could see Asmir Begovic lose his ranking as a top reverse keeper.
