Jonas Olsson has completed his suspension and will return to action for West Brom this weekend for their relegation showdown at Carrow Road.

With the Baggies hovering 3 points above the relegation zone in 17th place, Pepe Mel will be happy with the news that he will have Jonas Olsson available again and Claudio Yacob, Chris Brunt, and Billy Jones may follow close behind as they return to training this week. The Baggies have a match in hand, three points and a significant goal difference advantage over 18th place Cardiff City but they won't rest easy until there is more distance between them and the drop and the return of some key players over the next 10 days will certainly help.

Arsenal have been most frequently linked with a move for Karim Benzema but today comes word that Manchester United may be entering the fray for his signature as well.

Manchester United have things that Real Madrid and Benzema surely want if they become serious about acquiring the forward. United have cash, more cash than Arsenal, to pay a larger transfer fee and/or more wages than are likely on offer at the Emirates. As a trump card, United can also tie a Benzema deal to a potential move in the opposite direction for David De Gea. Any move for Benzema will surely signal an end to Robin van Persie's time as a starter for the Red Devils.

Vicente Del Bosque has confirmed Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas will be included in the squad for the upcoming internationals against Costa Rica and Belarus despite having surgery on his broken nose.

Fabregas was caught by a Charlie Adam elbow back in April and the midfielder played for the remainder of the campaign wearing a protective face mask. The operation means Fabregas will not be a part of the post-season Chelsea squad which travels to Thailand and Australia this week. Diego Costa is expected to face Thailand All Stars and Sydney FC after overcoming a recent hamstring problem although Del Bosque omitted the striker from the Spanish squad "He has played two games, but not 90 minutes. He has just overcome some muscular problems and we didn’t think he was in the best condition for a key game against Belarus, so we have preferred players whose fitness isn’t in doubt."

Ashley Barnes is set for an extended spell on the sidelines amid fears the Burnley attacker may have ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during Sundays’ final day victory at Villa Park.

An initial scan proved inconclusive but the club and player are preparing for the worst. If confirmed Barnes will become the third Burnley player since January 1, 2015 to rupture his ACL joining Kevin Long and Dean Marney and the fourth within the past 14 months after Sam Vokes missed the first half of the campaign having been injured back in March 2014. The ACL is one of the main knee stabilisers and although surgery is not always required in the case of an elite athlete it will be; success rates are high and recovery typically takes between 9-12 months.

Jordon Ibe is not fit enough to represent England at the prestigious under-20s tournament in Toulon after the winger was ordered to rest following a persistent knee complaint.

Ibe had surgery after damaging his lateral collateral knee ligament while on Europa League duty in Turkey for Liverpool back in February. Despite early reports suggesting his season was over Ibe did return ahead of schedule although his involvement has been sporadic since April having failed to complete 90 minutes. This latest decision was taken to ensure Ibe will be fully fit and ready for pre-season as Rodgers’ aims to forget a disappointing end to this campaign. With Steven Gerrard moving to LA Galaxy and Daniel Sturridge out until October - in the first instance - Rodgers' will need all hands on deck at the beginning of the new campaign.

Kolo Toure has signed a one-year contract extension with Liverpool Football Club.

Toure showed every bit of his age of 34 at times during his first year with the Reds but Brendan Rodgers must see the appeal in keeping the veteran around as a backup for next season. Considering how poorly Liverpool looked defensively in their final two games, there should be plenty of competition for a spot in next year's back line. However, it would likely take an injury to someone else for Kolo to return to regular playing time at this stage.

Andre Wisdom committed his future to Liverpool by signing a long-term contract with the club.

Liverpool's announcement on their official site does not mention the length of the deal but if it is labeled as "long term", it would be safe to assume that Wisdom should be locked up for at least three years, carrying him until the summer of 2018. Wisdom made twenty-two appearances as a loanee with West Brom this past season. Depending on player movement in the summer window, Wisdom could be in for another loan spell if he cannot earn proper playing time with his parent club.

Artur Boruc has made last season's loan deal with the Cherries permanent after helping them win promotion to the Premier League.

Boruc, whose Southampton contract expired at the end of the season, was available to Bournemouth on a free and both the player and club elected to extend their relationship. The keeper came to the club as an emergency loan in September of last season and ended up staying for the entire promotion campaign. He picked up 18 clean sheets as the Cherries won the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League.

Antonio Valencia took to social media to confirm the success of an unspecified surgical procedure with the Manchester United full-back now facing a race against time to feature in the upcoming Copa America tournament.

Valencia went under the knife on Monday less than 24 hours after the final whistle at the KC Stadium but whether the operation was planned to ensure his availability for Ecuador in June or to safeguard pre-season fitness remains to be seen. Ashley Young is another United player set for surgery after Roy Hodgson revealed the winger would not be fit for the end of season internationals against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia; again due to an unspecified procedure. Louis van Gaal confirmed that Angel di Maria made the decision to come off against Hull during the final game due to hamstring tightness, although the problem does not look to be "heavy" the player will have a precautionary scan.

Stoke City number one Asmir Begovic is rumored to be willing to push hard for a move if a top six club comes calling.

Liverpool are the top six club most frequently linked with Begovic and they could certainly be looking for a goalkeeper (although they do have a lot of other things to address as well). Manchester United could also be a longshot to have interest in Begovic if David De Gea decides he wants to head back to Spain this summer. Begovic will probably not be at the top of United's list but he could be a solid stop-gap if they can't land a permanent replacement for De Gea.

Boaz Myhill and Claudio Yacob have both been retained by West Brom for the 2015-16 season when the club exercised one year options on each player.

Myhill may be a critical player early next season as Ben Foster is unlikely to be ready to return to action until late-September or early-October. Myhill played well down the stretch this season deputizing for Foster after his injury and earned the extension. Yacob didn't start a lot early in the season but he was far more prominent under Tony Pulis and should be in the midst of his prime at age 27. Both moves seemed fairly obvious given how important both players were late in the season.

Tomas Rosicky will add veteran depth to the Arsenal bench next season after signing a one-year extension at the Emirates.

The Czech Republic midfielder had a strong run of performances in the middle of the season when injuries decimated Arsenal's central midfield. When the squad enjoyed better health, Rosicky was the definition of a squad player. Entering the season when he will turn 35, apparently being a squad player on a Champions League participant is more attractive than taking a step down in competitiveness to play more. If injuries again hit Arsenal in bulk then he will be a valuable player to have available.
