Victor Anichebe has been struggling with a hamstring injury but seems to be 50/50 or better to be ready for West Brom's Week 33 match at Norwich City

Victor Anichebe has split his time evenly this season between not playing at all, starting and coming off the bench in his first season at West Brom. The first half of his season was a bit of a disaster and then he missed six weeks between early December and mid-January but since the 1-1 draw with Liverpool where he secured a point for the home side he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in four starts and three substitute appearances. His presence against Norwich would be a significant boost to the Baggies' hopes of picking up ground in the relegation battle.

Arsenal believe Santi Cazorla will not play again this season following another major setback.

The Spanish midfielder has been limited to just eight Premier League appearances this term after picking up an ankle injury against Ludogorets in the Champions League last October. Following several weeks of rehab, Cazorla wasn’t progressing as hoped, and the Arsenal medical team in conjunction with specialists decided that the 32-year-old would have surgery on the plantaris tendon in his right foot. Cazorla travelled to Sweden for the procedure and was told a full recovery would take around three months, although the player himself was initially confident of a return within two. However, following several setbacks, Cazorla will now focus on being fit for the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

The brief speculation over Adam Lallana's future at Liverpool is over after the club officially announced he has signed a new contract.

The former Southampton midfielder has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham in recent months following a stellar run of form that has seen him record seven goals and seven assists this season. But the 28-year-old has now signed a three-year contract reportedly worth £150,000-a-week to make him one of the highest-paid players at the club. Said Lallana: "Signing for a club like Liverpool is obviously a big thing – but to re-sign shows you’ve obviously contributed enough that the people who make the decisions want you to stay longer. This is a really good place to be at the moment and, for a player who wants to be part of something special, I can’t think of a better club to commit your future to."

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admitted it won't be easy for Luke Shaw to force his way back into the first team.

That's because the manager rates Shaw as the club's fourth-best left-back. The £27 million signing from Southampton has not played in the Premier League since Week 11 and didn't even feature in the club's FA Cup or Europa League squads this week, with Mourinho challenging the 21-year-old to work harder: "Why has Luke Shaw stayed behind in Manchester? Because I am playing with Daley Blind, with Marcos Rojo, with Matteo Darmian and all of them are playing the way I like a full-back to play. Luke has to wait for his chance. He has to work better and better knowing that I give nothing for free."

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero is having none of the rumors linking him with a summer transfer.

The Argentine talisman's future has been questioned in recent weeks since being benched for City's latest prodigy: Gabriel Jesus. But Aguero put all the worries over a rift with manager Pep Guardiola to rest after starting for the club in a 5-3 win against Monaco in Champions League on Tuesday: "As I've always said I want to be here at the club, I've always said that at the end of the season it won't be my decision. The truth is that with these things it's the club that handles everything, and obviously it's always my intention to stay. We (Guardiola) get on very well. What he wants, above everything, from all the players is that we push a little more."

Manchester United suffer a double injury blow ahead of Sundays’ EFL Cup final.

United travelled to France in the Europa League on Wednesday, but despite a 3-0 first leg lead over Saint-Etienne, Mourinho was taking no chances and named a strong starting XI. However, his gamble looks to have backfired, even though his side progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Michael Carrick both sustained muscular injuries and the pair are now considered major doubts for the clash with Southampton at Wembley. "Honestly, I don’t think so," said Mourinho when asked if either play would be fit. "I think Henrikh and Michael are both out. But, this is based on my experience, not on my medical knowledge and not based on tests and what they have to do tomorrow. A calf, a hamstring, even if it’s a minor injury, I think they're out." Wayne Rooney has trained ahead of the game and could return after missing the three previous matches because of a muscular problem.

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is unlikely to leave for the Chinese Super League before their transfer window closes at the end of February.

Rooney's representatives had been in talks with Tianjin Quanjian, but their coach, former World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro, said that talks did not progress. While Rooney may not depart this month, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that the club's record goalscorer will leave in the summer due to lack of game time. However, Rooney is said to wish to see out his contract until 2019 at the club but will not do so in the current circumstances. Rooney did not take part in United's Europa League triumph over St. Etienne as he has just recovered from a hamstring strain. He has started just three games since December 17th.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has rejected claims that he wants to leave the club.

Martial had a dream debut season for United after arriving from Monaco in a deal worth at least £35m scoring 17 goals. However, this year, he has just seven goals and finds himself outside the starting eleven and playing on the wing when he does get on the pitch as Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken up permanent residence in United's striker role. Speaking before the Red Devils' second leg victory over St. Etienne, Martial said: "I love Manchester. I love the club. I love the fans. I enjoy them backing me. I try to be as good as possible to make them happy. I want to stay as long as possible in this club... I am sure next season will be even better." He also dismissed reports that he is unhappy playing on the wing: "I started as a central forward but even in Monaco sometimes played as a winger and got used to this role. I enjoy it."

Bournemouth forward Joshua King is confident that he can step up to the plate and replace Callum Wilson as the club's main striker for the rest of the season.

Wilson has been ruled out with another long term knee injury, leaving Norwegian international King to fill the vacuum as he did last term. Last season, he did well in his preferred striker position and finished the season as the club's top scorer. He scored some important goals in wins over Manchester United, Newcastle, Swansea and Aston Villa. In recent weeks, he has again prospered in Wilson's absence, finding the net four times in the Cherries’ past seven games. When quizzed on the atter King said: "I am confident in the team. I have been playing the number 10 role for most of the season and sometimes on the wing... Unfortunately, we have lost one of our main players to injury so it is going to need other people to step up, like we did last season."

Hull City defender Harry Maguire's performances and stats in the Premier League this season have seen him become a genuine prospect for an England call-up.

Maguire has been at Hull for three seasons, but has only properly cemented his starting position in a string of eye-catching performances while replacing the injured Michael Dawson and Curtis Davies at centre-back. He made his full PL debut in October in the 6-1 loss to Bournemouth but has been generally good since. He has shown his ability to read the game well through his interceptions (2.44 pg) which is far better than nearest Englishman Michael Keane 2.04. Chris Smalling has 0.57. Maguire has also steered clear of any defensive errors according to the stats this term which neither Stones, Cahill, Smalling, or Keane can say. He is ahead of all those players too in tackles won and duels won per game and 2nd only to Keane for blocks. In attack, he leads English CBs in terms of take-ons per game, shots and fouls drawn.

Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is currently subject to string links with a move away from the club to Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan.

The Uruguayan has been the subject of numerous rumours this season, with this latest one emerging from Italian site Calciomercato.it. They say that the Chinese club may be willing to break Hull's largest transfer windfall record (from Shane Long) with a £15.3m bid. The Chinese transfer window remains open until February 28th, so there is still time for the value of a bid to escalate towards a figure closer to the £20m tabled by Aston Villa last summer. While Hernandez isn't a key part of Hull's team at present due to injuries and variable form, the squad is still thin and it may be a stretch for the club to lose another player as the crucial battle to survive relegation comes to a head.

Manchester United are through to the last 16 of the Europa League after beating Ligue 1 side St. Etienne 4-0 on aggregate.

The Red Devils added a 0-1 win in France to their 3-0 triumph at Old Trafford to secure the result. In spite of their lead going into the game, Jose Mourinho took no chances and named a strong line-up which included Pogba, Ibra and Mkhi in spite of Sunday's upcoming EFL Cup final. The plan started well, with the tie effectively ended after 16 minutes when Mkhitaryan finished a fine team goal with a deft flick at the near post. United were rarely threatened by the French, with Perrin having their best chance from a header which was easily dealt with by Romero. Rashford could have scored too but blew his chance. The sending off of Eric Bailly for two bookable offences frustrated Mourinho, and the Ivorian will miss the first leg of United's next European game. Mkhi and Carrick picked up injuries and may now miss Sunday's EFL Cup final.
