Sunderland suffered their fifth straight loss and all but solidified their fate as a relegated club in a 0-1 loss to Everton.

As poor as Sunderland have been and as red hot as Everton has been, there was little hope at kickoff of a positive result from the Black Cats, but they came to play and gave Everton all they could handle. Fabio Borini almost put them ahead in the first half with their best chance of the match, but his shot was cleared off the goal line. In the second half, it was anyone's game until Wes Brown was the culprit in an own goal that gave the Toffees all the points. With other lower table clubs winning today, it would take a miracle now for Sunderland to stay up. Phil Bardsley picked up his 10th yellow card and will now serve an automatic 2 match ban.

Everton kept up their solid home form with another win and clean sheet, their third straight in each department, today disposing of Burnley, 1-0.

It looked like a potential disaster for the Toffees in this one just 10 minutes in, when Aaron Lennon was brought down by David Jones and a penalty was awarded, though it appeared Lennon wasn't quite all the way in the area. For unknown reasons, Ross Barkley took the spot kick and it was saved rather easily by Tom Heaton, causing the Goodison Park crowd to understandably grown. Mirallas would help put that event past them though on the half hour mark. He collected a McCarthy cross that touched Arouna Kone on the way over and slotted home at the far post, though he scuffed his original kick. The Toffees couldn't seal the points with an additional goal but their ability to keep the Clarets out was aided by Ashley Barnes' sending off just before the break, giving Everton the man advantage for the final 45.

James Morrison scored two minutes into West Brom's Week 33 match-up with Crystal Palace and the Baggies didn't look back as they won 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

No one saw this coming. Crystal Palace had been red hot for weeks while West Brom had been struggling mightily for the past three weeks. Throw in that Palace were at home and it looked like an easy home win. James Morrison flipped the script within two minutes as he scored from a Chris Brunt corner. Morrison was entirely unmarked in the middle of the penalty area. Craig Gardner sealed the victory in the 53rd minute with a blast from 25 plus yards out and West Brom soaked up Palace's huge possession advantage for the 2-0 win.

Burnley have their backs against the relegation wall today after losing to Everton 1-0

The Claret ship is beginning to leak major water at just the wrong time, as Leicester City have hit a positive run of form while they themselves have gone four straight without scoring. They certainly played up for it and Kieran Trippier was his usual self, delivering plenty of balls to set up the likes of Danny Ings, but they were dealt a devastating blow just seconds before the halftime whistle when Ashley Barnes was booked for his second yellow, seeing him off the pitch. An anemic attack could ill-afford to lose one of their front line players and opportunities in the second half completely dries up as Toffee keeper Tim Howard was hardly bothered. It's not over yet for Sean Dyche's men, they have Sunderland and Leicester yet on the schedule, so they still have a say int their fate.

Tony Pulis won the battle with the club he saved from relegation last season as West Brom beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

Yaya Sanogo had a goal called back and Yannick Bolasie had an audacious attempt denied as Crystal Palace couldn't convert 68% possession into even a single goal as West Brom beat them 2-0 at Selhurst Park. The Eagles had a major defensive breakdown early as James Morrison found himself all alone in the area for a headed goal in the second minute. Palace fought valiantly but despite their superior possession, they saw Craig Gardner score from long distance for the final 2-0 scoreline.

Charlie Adam ended Southampton's hopes for Champions League football with his match-winner in the 84th minute.

The halftime substitute came on for an ineffective Stephen Ireland and made an immediate impact as Stoke City looked a much better side. Within two minutes of the break Mame Biram Diouf equalized Morgan Schneiderlin's 22nd minute opener. The Saints had the better of the match on paper as far as possession, shots, and shots on target but it was Adam's 84th minute goal that decided the tie and sentenced Ronald Koeman's squad to a battle for a Europa League spot that they may or may not actually want.

Leicester City won their third straight match with a 2-0 win over Swansea City, moving them up from the bottom of the table and closer to the other side of the relegation zone.

The Foxes appear to be this year what Sunderland was last year - festering at the bottom of the table for virtually the entire season only to catch fire down the stretch. Nine points in three accounts for nearly a third of their season total of 28. Ulloa, who was not named to the original XI, got the start in place of David Nugent, who picked up a knock during warmups. It turned out to be a blessing as he struck in the 15th minute for the game's only goal. A deep ball floated toward the Swansea area and was knocked down by Wes Morgan who screened some space for Ulloa to collect and strike, giving him his first goal since Boxing Day. Expect a flurry of investment in the Foxes for next week, reflecting not only their current form, but the fact that they are one of four clubs with a double.

Morgan Schneiderlin scored for Southampton but they couldn't get past Stoke City at the Britannia as they fell 2-1 to the home side.

With the loss, Southampton were effectively eliminated from contention for a Champions League place in the final standings. The lack of Champions League football for the Saints likely clinches the departure of goal-scorer Morgan Schneiderlin who has been linked with a big money move away from St. Mary's. Arsenal and Spurs have been linked most frequently with a suspicion that Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and others outside the Premier League could also register interest before the summer is out.

Swansea City were missing some key players for their trip to Leicester City today and it showed in their 2-0 loss.

It was uncertain who Garry Monk would call upon between Oliveira and Marvin Emnes to replace Bafetimbi Gomis, but adding in the latter's efforts as a substitute, neither looked to possess much of a goal threat. Jefferson Montero was back from injury but could only come off the bench for the final quarter hour. Ki Sung-Yueng, who has been a consistent area of production, had an off day as well, and was removed before the hour mark. The defense wasn't horrible but missing both fullbacks and facing a goal-hungry Leicester didn't help. They will be missing the same key players again next week, but will have a much more beatable Newcastle United to contend with instead.

Loic Remy remains questionable for gameweek 33 with a calf injury.

Jose Mourinho stated today that he "doesn't know" if Remy will be fit for the derby against Manchester United this weekend but has a better than 50/50 chance. That tells us almost nothing about who will start against Manchester so we would recommend avoiding both Remy and Didier Drogba in leagues where the lineups lock at the first match. Hopefully Remy plays at least some part of this match and is then nailed on as a starter for the double gameweek coming up in week 34.

Marc Wilson is doubtful for Stoke City's match with Southampton as he recovers from a hip injury picked up against West Ham last weekend.

Marc Wilson has had a rough 2015 so far with injuries and it may well continue in Week 33 after he picked up a hip injury against West Ham last weekend. With Wilson potentially out, Erik Pieters is likely to return to the starting line-up. With Southampton a strong opponent neither Wilson nor Pieters has a ton of value and even less so given the uncertainty between the two.

Victor Moses has been ruled out for the balance of the season with a hamstring injury picked up in Week 32.

Stoke City's attack has been hit with another season-ending injury as Victor Moses has been ruled out for the season. The injury effectively ends a very successful loan spell for Moses at Stoke City. The club will likely make a big summer push to make the move permanent with the player also likely being willing as a push into the Chelsea first team seems highly unlikely regardless of how well the season at Stoke City went. For the rest of this season, it may open up more playing time for Marko Arnautovic.
