Steve Sidwell added to his team leading goal total by scoring his seventh of the season today, but it was not enough to get a positive result as Fulham lost to Tottenham 3-1.

Spurs were caught napping a bit, allowing Fulham to level just moments after Paulinho scored the opener. It was a nice move from Sidwell who, while charging into the box, caught up to his own attempted pass and pushed through the center of the Spurs defense to beat Hugo Lloris for his seventh league goal this season. After then falling behind, the Cottagers had a chance to get back in it when they were awarded a penalty due to a Christian Eriksen handball. Sidwell took it, much to the dismay of teammate Hugo Rodallega, and did not manage to get it past Lloris, who was top class today. Fulham will look to bounce back next week in a must win against Hull City.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Everton ahead of their trip to Burnley, though we have an updated timetable on the return of Kevin Mirallas.

Mirallas continues to heal his hammy but Roberto Martinez has come out recently to state he hopes the Belgian midfielder would be fit after the next international break, which falls in mid-November. How long he can sustain fitness once he does return is the million dollar question. John Stones, Arouna Kone, and Bryan Oviedo continue to be on the shelf with Kone and Oviedo getting closer to their expected return

A hat-trick from Harry Kane and a brace from Erik Lamela helped Tottenham thrash Greek side Asteras Tripolis and saunter to a first win in the Europa League group-stage.

Let's start with Lamela's first goal, a 20 yard 'rabona', one of the most outrageous finishes ever seen in football. If you haven't seen it yourself, check the link below. Kane opened the scoring with a fine strikr of his own and went on to score a hattrick, with Lamela grabbing a second goal himself. It was a particularly eventful night for Kane, who ended the game in goal when keeper Hugo Lloris was sent off (with Spurs having used all three substitutes), and conceded from the first shot he faced in comical style. Still, it was a great performance and result for Mauricio Pochettino's men and they will take confidence in to the weekend clash with Newcastle.

Fraser Forster is top of the goalkeeper picks for Week 9.

Southampton are in great form and have the best defensive record in the league, so with a home game against Stoke it would appear that Forster is the best keeper choice for the second week running.
Oct 24 - 4:53 AM

Branislav Ivanovic is tipped to perform well for Chelsea against Manchester United.

Manchester United appear unable to defend at the moment, particularity at set-pieces, and Ivanovic is one of the most dangerous players in the opposition's box. The defender is pricey, but a goal is very possible and you know he'll give 100% for the Chelsea cause. An excellent pick for Week 9 if you can afford him.
Oct 24 - 4:55 AM

Everton's Seamus Coleman can continue his good form at Burnley in Week 9.

Vital to Everton and a genuine goal threat, Burnley will find it difficult to cope with Coleman's runs down the right flank and the full-back could have a huge fantasy week. We marginally prefer him to Leighton Baines, but both are expensive options so you'd need to feel confident in Coleman's returns in order to splash the cash.
Oct 24 - 4:56 AM

Eric Dier could prove great value for Tottenham's home clash with Newcastle.

Dier was the must-have defender in the Yahoo game back in August after two goals in the opening two games of the season, and he's back on the radar this weekend. Obviously the young defender hasn’t been able to keep up that stunning early form, but his price is back below £6million and he will start Tottenham's home game against Newcastle with the two Kyles (Naughton and Walker) still out with injury. Solid in defence and a threat in the opposition's box, Dier could prove great value.

Eden Hazard is the premium fantasy midfield choice, as Chelsea visit defensively-fragile Manchester United

After watching what West Bromwich Albion were able to do to Manchester United's full-backs on Monday night, you fear for them against Hazard and the Chelsea machine this weekend. Hazard appears to be clicking in to top form and notched a further two goals in the midweek Champions League thrashing of Maribor in a frighteningly-sharp display. The Belgian trickster comes with the added bonus of penalty duty, so he's our pick of the premium attacking options this week. If you can afford him, splash the cash.

Ross Barkley inspired Everton on his return from injury in Week 8, and he can do the same against Burnley in Week 9.

It was no coincidence that Everton's drop in form during the opening two months of the season occurred while Ross Barkley was recovering from a knee injury. It was also no coincidence that Roberto Martinez's men put in their best performance of the season so far on Barkley's return against Aston Villa in Week Eight. The midfielder's energy, driving runs and clever passing changed the dynamic of the Toffee's attack and he had a hand in all three goals. Expect another exciting display against struggling Burnley at Turf Moor this weekend.
Oct 24 - 5:05 AM

Nacer Chadli can continue his goalscoring form against Newcastle in Week 9.

What a remarkable turnaround it has been for Chadli after a difficult debut season, sitting pretty as Tottenham's top scorer with four goals in the opening eight weeks of this campaign. The Belgian winger has displayed power, pace and clinical finishing ability playing as a left-sided forward in Mauricio Pochettino's 4-3-3 system and he is available for a bargain price as Spurs host Newcastle in Week 9.
Oct 24 - 5:07 AM

Alexis Sanchez can heap more misery on the Sunderland defence in Week 9.

Excellent against Hull last weekend with a goal and assist, and the best player on the pitch in Arsenal's smash-and-grab Champions League win over Anderlecht, we're starting to see the real quality of Sanchez now that the Chilean has adjusted to football in England. Sanchez has pace to burn and loves to shoot on sight, a key trait for the Yahoo game where players are rewarded with fantasy points for shots on target. You can expect the forward to terrorise a Sunderland defence still reeling after conceding eight goals at Southampton last Saturday.
Oct 24 - 5:09 AM

Graziano Pelle added another brace Southampton's thrashing of Sunderland and will be the danger-man again as Stoke come to town.

Pelle must feel like he's walking on a cloud right now, making his international debut and scoring his first goal earlier this month, and grabbing six Premier League goals to help guide his new club to 3rd in the table. I wouldn't bet against the Italian continuing this excellent form at home to Stoke.
