Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini had mixed news regarding his injured midfielders ahead of the key clash against Crystal Palace.

The good news for Pellegrini is that Yaya Toure has returned to training after his groin injury and should be fit enough to start against Palace this weekend, replacing Javi Garcia. However, Jesus Navas remains unavailable and David Silva is out again after rolling his ankle against West Brom, which should mean Samir Nasri and James Milner retain their places in the starting XI.

The knock Simon Mignolet picked up in Liverpool's loss to Manchester United last weekend was not serious and the Belgian international is fit to play for his country during the international break.

Mignolet is behind Thibaut Courtois on the Belgian keeper depth chart but appears to be set to back up the Chelsea man for Belgium tomorrow as they take on Cyprus and then they face Israel on Tuesday. For fantasy managers and Liverpool fans though, what matters is that the Reds' #1 will be between the sticks against Arsenal in their next league game.

Scans on Daniel Sturridge's hip did not come back clean and the striker is looking at up to a month on the sideline according to England manager Roy Hodgson.

A slight tear was found in the hip flexor muscle for Sturridge, so it will certainly take to heal. The timetable seems to open the door for an earlier return so with no league matches this weekend, perhaps one can only rule him out for Week 31's match against Arsenal for now. However long it takes, Brendan Rodgers will need to think about whether to start Mario Balotelli up top, who should be starting in this situation considering his wages, or to deploy Raheem Sterling there as he has at times this season. Ricky Lambert seems no more than depth at this point though perhaps he will enter Rodgers' thinking as well. Sterling is a solid investment no matter where he plays on the pitch, but a striker role certainly bumps his value.

Roberto Martinez is hoping Darron Gibson will be available to face Southampton in GW31 following the Everton midfielders withdrawal from the Republic of Ireland squad due to a minor abdominal strain.

Gibson is one of a handful of players currently undergoing treatment at Finch Farm with Arouna Kone [knee & ankle] and Kevin Mirallas [dead leg] targeting a quick return while Romelu Lukaku [hamstring] is recovering with his national team in Belgium. Martinez confirmed South African midfielder Steven Pienaar [knee] will be back in full training from Monday after almost four months on the sidelines with Tony Hibbert also closing in on a return. Bryan Oviedo is progressing but could be a few weeks yet although he "is getting stronger every day" and Gareth Barry has completed a two match ban for his accumulation of 10 yellow cards.

Newcastle have been dealt a further defensive blow after it was confirmed Massadio Haidara will miss the remainder of the campaign after undergoing knee surgery in Lyon.

It was hoped that Haidara would be back in May following injections to help manage an ongoing knee complaint however the injury has not responded to treatment leaving the player with no alternative other than to go under the knife. Haidara joins defenders Paul Dummett and Steven Taylor – out for the season – while Fabricio Coloccini is currently serving a three match ban. Ahead of next weekends’ Wear / Tyne derby Newcastle will be hoping for at least one returner as Mehdi Abeid steps up his recovery from a thigh strain with Rolando Aarons [hamstring] also due to join the group on Monday.

Winston Reid will miss his international duty with New Zealand since he has still not recovered from a hamstring injury.

New Zealand coach Anthony Hudson stated that the team have given Winston every chance to be fit but he hasn't responded well to treatment and they will not even fly him out to join the squad. He also made it sound like Reid is close to returning, so it is not out of the question he is fit for next weekend when West Ham face Leicester City. Keep an eye out for his fitness levels before deciding on your GW31 fantasy team.

Eden Hazard has stated he would back a Petr Cech exit this summer after the goalkeeper made comments regarding a summer move.

Cech mentioned in recent days that he would consider leaving Stamford Bridge this summer because he doesn't want to spend another season as an understudy to Thibaut Courtois. The news is unsurprising, as the 32-year-old only has a few years of football left and he understandably wants to start, especially given the fact he is still one of the best goalkeepers around. Cech has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal amongst other teams, but it's uncertain if Cech wants to remain in the Premier League or leave for another league. He is not a fantasy option at the moment and there is a chance he never will be in the Premier League again.

Kelvin Davis is faced with a great opportunity to shine at Southampton after Fraser Forster was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Forster underwent knee surgery earlier this week and will miss at least the remainder of the season and quite possibly a big part of next season. Davis is the next in line at Southampton and will be faced with a big challenge ahead of him as the Saints fight for a European spot. Forster leads the league in clean sheet at the moment, partially due to Southampton's great defense, so Davis is certainly in a great situation to succeed. With Everton, Hull City, and Stoke next, Davis is a great investment in fantasy.

John Terry has inked a new one-year extension with Chelsea.

The Blues defender has had a phenomenal season and has looked terrific next to both Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma. He is not as fast or as athletic as he was in his prime, but Terry is smarter than ever and uses his experience to his advantage to make up for lost speed. He hasn't slowed down one bit and there are no signs of him dropping off next-season. He is a great fantasy option in draft-leagues as he provides great weekly clean sheet chances and scores the eventual goal to provide upside.

Everton have been boosted by the news that the knee injury suffered by Arouna Kone at Loftus Road in GW30 is not serious although the striker remains a doubt for the visit of Southampton next time out.

Roberto Martinez confirmed following the win at QPR that Romelu Lukaku and Arouna Kone had picked up injuries which would need to be assessed although it was the latter who was the greater cause for concern. However following further tests it now looks the hamstring strain suffered by Lukaku could keep him out for around three weeks while Kone may be back within two. Steven Naismith is a potential option having been utilised in a more advanced role previously while Christian Atsu will be hoping for a rare opportunity to shine for the Toffees having managed just one league start since his loan move from Chelsea last summer.

A groin problem threatens to sideline Tom Cleverley as injuries begin to mount at Villa although the timely return of Joe Cole [hamstring] could provide the perfect tonic as Tim Sherwood insists the attacking midfielder still has something to offer during the season run-in.

Cole was injured as Sherwood came on-board back in February and hasn’t featured since but now that the player is approaching full fitness the new Villa boss feels the former England international can still affect games "He can score and he can assist." Regardless of whether Cleverley recovers prior to GW31 the Manchester United loanee won’t be eligible for the trip to Old Trafford under the terms of his agreement which could hand Cole his chance. With no fewer than [11] players currently sidelined Villa will be hoping the international break will be kind with Christian Benteke, Jores Okore, Alan Hutton, Ciaran Clark, Fabian Delph and Carles Gil all currently representing their countries.

Jack Colback's suspension and subsequent two quiet games has seen his fantasy price steadily decline in recent weeks to a very appealing figure.

After a disappointing two point return against Arsenal, Colback has seen his price drop to 7.76m in the Yahoo game, representing solid value at the midfield position. Unlike other players who have been similarly underpriced; Dusan Tadic, Nacer Chadli and Seb Larsson, it doesn't require traditional attacking points for Colback to put up nice scores. Whether the past two games are an anomaly or a sign of a dip in form will require another week or two to determine, but if he returns to the level of production he was offering most of the season, then investors will be rewarded without spending very much.
