Despite losing 3-0, Tim Krul has a pretty solid match. He made a number of strong stops but couldn't save his teammates from losing their sixth consecutive match.

There were a number of fine saves but none more emblematic of the evening than Tim Krul's save on Olivier Giroud who was in alone on goal. An apparently still rusty Mathieu Debuchy played Giroud onside despite him being five yards beyond the closest defender on his side of the field. That put Giroud in pretty much alone on goal. Krul came out nicely and saved two Giroud attempts that he should have scored. The second of the two bounced kindly to an offside (but not called) Mesut Ozil who only had to tap in for the goal. Krul did everything you could expect on the play but still Arsenal scored.

Artur Boruc has made last season's loan deal with the Cherries permanent after helping them win promotion to the Premier League.

Boruc, whose Southampton contract expired at the end of the season, was available to Bournemouth on a free and both the player and club elected to extend their relationship. The keeper came to the club as an emergency loan in September of last season and ended up staying for the entire promotion campaign. He picked up 18 clean sheets as the Cherries won the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League.

Antonio Valencia took to social media to confirm the success of an unspecified surgical procedure with the Manchester United full-back now facing a race against time to feature in the upcoming Copa America tournament.

Valencia went under the knife on Monday less than 24 hours after the final whistle at the KC Stadium but whether the operation was planned to ensure his availability for Ecuador in June or to safeguard pre-season fitness remains to be seen. Ashley Young is another United player set for surgery after Roy Hodgson revealed the winger would not be fit for the end of season internationals against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia; again due to an unspecified procedure. Louis van Gaal confirmed that Angel di Maria made the decision to come off against Hull during the final game due to hamstring tightness, although the problem does not look to be "heavy" the player will have a precautionary scan.

Stoke City number one Asmir Begovic is rumored to be willing to push hard for a move if a top six club comes calling.

Liverpool are the top six club most frequently linked with Begovic and they could certainly be looking for a goalkeeper (although they do have a lot of other things to address as well). Manchester United could also be a longshot to have interest in Begovic if David De Gea decides he wants to head back to Spain this summer. Begovic will probably not be at the top of United's list but he could be a solid stop-gap if they can't land a permanent replacement for De Gea.

Boaz Myhill and Claudio Yacob have both been retained by West Brom for the 2015-16 season when the club exercised one year options on each player.

Myhill may be a critical player early next season as Ben Foster is unlikely to be ready to return to action until late-September or early-October. Myhill played well down the stretch this season deputizing for Foster after his injury and earned the extension. Yacob didn't start a lot early in the season but he was far more prominent under Tony Pulis and should be in the midst of his prime at age 27. Both moves seemed fairly obvious given how important both players were late in the season.

Tomas Rosicky will add veteran depth to the Arsenal bench next season after signing a one-year extension at the Emirates.

The Czech Republic midfielder had a strong run of performances in the middle of the season when injuries decimated Arsenal's central midfield. When the squad enjoyed better health, Rosicky was the definition of a squad player. Entering the season when he will turn 35, apparently being a squad player on a Champions League participant is more attractive than taking a step down in competitiveness to play more. If injuries again hit Arsenal in bulk then he will be a valuable player to have available.

Javier Hernandez has seen Real Madrid choose not to exercise the option they held to sign him permanently after his year on loan from Manchester United.

Chicharito returns to Old Trafford facing the same quandary that he faced last summer. The biggest clubs in the world - Manchester United, Real Madrid, etc. - don't seem to rate him enough for him to play regularly. So, where next? Will he accept a step down to a mid-table club in England or elsewhere in an attempt to show what he can do when he gets to play every week? Will such a club be able to afford the fee United will want and/or the wages the player will demand? There are lots of ways that this could play out over the summer and there is no obvious conclusion that has yet presented itself.

With Christian Benteke a hot commodity once again, Aston Villa have been linked with a number of potential replacements including Emmanuel Adebayor.

It worked with Tim Sherwood and Emmanuel Adebayor once before so it should come as no surprise that the two are being linked as the summer transfer rumor mill picks up. Sherwood oversaw a brief revival in Adebayor's fortunes when he was in charge at Spurs last season and the forward has reverted to his previous poor form under Mauricio Pochettino. Combine that with high wages and Spurs will likely be happy to help pay for the forward to ply his trade at Villa Park next season. This one makes sense if Benteke goes and likely even if he stays.

Wes Morgan finished the season strong and ended up as the third best fantasy defender in the Yahoo! Premier League fantasy game.

Morgan was spectacular down the stretch, leading Leicester City to a number of important victories to avoid relegation. He finishes the season with 10 clean sheets, 97 passes intercepted, and 46 blocked shots on the way to 316 fantasy points. Morgan will be fairly cheap next season as expectations of a Leicester City defender will always be low, but he can be a top five defender in formats that reward phantom points. Draft him with confidence next season.

Cesc Fabregas was impressive in his first season with Chelsea and was a solid fantasy pick for most of the season.

Fabregas finished seventh in scoring amongst midfielders in the Yahoo! fantasy game. He played in 34 matches and had 18 assists amongst a number of other stats that added up to 306 fantasy points. Fabregas should be expected to continue his solid performance into next season and he has every chance at finishing in the top five amongst midfielders if he can play in all 38 matches next season. It's worth noting his three-match ban was reduced to one match and he'll be available to start the season in gameweek 1.

Eden Hazard finished the Premier League season as the highest scoring midfielder in the Yahoo! fantasy game.

Hazard was spectacular the entire season, playing in every single match. He was expensive for most of the year but was well worth his price week in and week out. On top of 14 goals and 9 assists, Hazard won 113 fouls and had 33 shots on target, leading his way to 439 fantasy points on the season. The Belgian midfielder will be a top three fantasy pick next year in almost any format.

Unsurprisingly Manchester United have confirmed that they will not be taking up their option to retain the services of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao following his season long loan spell.

Falcao was absent for the final game of the season against Hull with Louis van Gaal confirming post-match that the player had picked up a minor injury during Saturdays’ last training session. However in truth, Falcao has never looked settled - barring a brief run of matches over Christmas - the forward has been in / out of the side and his absence went largely unnoticed. Falcao struggled to command regular game time which is what the player needed coming off the back of a serious – ACL – knee injury. The Colombian will now focus his efforts on the upcoming Copa America before hopefully securing a deal elsewhere – ideally within the Premier League or La Liga – as Falcao looks surplus to requirements at his parent club Monaco.
