Robin van Persie, out since United's Champions League match with Olympiokos last month, has returned to training and may be fit for United's two-match week.

Fantasy managers will want to pay attention to the next five days of training at Manchester United as Robin van Persie has returned to training and has a chance to face Sunderland on Saturday. With United also playing Hull City on Tuesday fantasy managers will be forced to anticipate how many minutes the Dutch forward may get over the two matches. If you think he'll get 120 minutes or more (a start and a substantial substitute appearance) then he's probably a reasonable choice. The problem is that the uncertainty will have ripples throughout the United line-up with a specific potential impact on Danny Welbeck.

Tony Pulis' tastes have taken a significant step up with new ownership after the news that Albion bid £21 million for Portugal holding midfielder William Carvalho.

Yes, the bid was reportedly rejected but the notion that West Brom would even be bidding in this neighborhood is a bit of a shock. Nothing should be too shocking given the new TV deal but West Brom certainly started out the summer more conservatively than most of their Premier League peers. The rumor certainly didn't imply that the deal was entirely dead meaning a larger bid could land the former Arsenal target.

Celtic have confirmed the signing of West Brom defender Cristian Gamboa from West Bromwich Albion on a permanent transfer.

Gamboa never really found his footing in the Premier League. With the arrival of Tony Pulis and his tendency to play four center backs across the back, Gamboa was even further marginalized than he had been previously. The move makes sense for Albion and the player who was surely tired of being as far out of the first team picture as he was.

The agent of Manchester City's Joe Hart has reportedly confirmed to Italian media that the goalkeeper is set for a medical at Torino.

Said agent Jonathan Barnett: "Yes, Joe Hart will play with Torino. It's done. The player said yes to the club and also Manchester City have given the green light. It is all true. Tomorrow [Tuesday] Hart will have a medical in Turin." The 29-year-old keeper quickly fell out of favor under Pep Guardiola in the final weeks of the preseason and now looks to be the No. 3 keeper after the arrival of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona. Hart has reportedly received permission to leave England camp today to complete the season-long loan to the Serie A side, who finished 12th in the league last season.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers looks set for a season-long loan to Middlesbrough with a medical planned for Tuesday.

With the impending £35 million arrival of Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding ahead of him in the pecking order, Chambers' playing time looked to be extremely limited. But the 21-year-old appears to be headed to Middlesbrough, who sit in fifth place after an undefeated start through the opening three games. But the big news out of the Arsenal camp today concerns the future of midfielder Jack Wilshere. The Arsenal star has reportedly talked to Arsene Wenger about his future at the club and wants more playing time after being left out of the England team with a loan move being considered.

Sergio Aguero is facing the prospect of a ban although his enforced spell on the sidelines could not have been timed better after picking up an injury.

The Argentine was at the centre of a media storm on Sunday when cameras at the Etihad spotted Aguero thrusting an elbow in the face of West Ham defender Winston Reid. The incident, which was missed by referee Andre Marriner, carries an automatic three-game suspension and an FA review panel will analyse video footage today before deciding on whether to charge the City striker with violent conduct. However, the news that Aguero picked up a calf injury during the same game may help to soften the blow. The Argentina FA confirmed on Monday that the 28-year-old had withdrawn from the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Uruguay and Venezuela. Aguero will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the problem.

Jack Wilshere has found opportunities hard to come by at Arsenal following his recovery from injury.

Wilshere suffered a fractured fibula on the eve of the 2015/16 season and spent most of it on the sidelines, before returning in late April. However, after just 141 minutes of Premier League football, he merited [in the eyes of Roy Hodgson] a place in the Euro 2016 squad. With a full summer of training behind him, many expected the injury-plagued midfielder to hit the ground running. But, following a niggling tendinitis problem which delayed his comeback, Wilshere once again found himself stuck on the peripheries of the squad and he is now considering a loan move away. Arsenal are believed to be willing to let the England midfielder go, but will his chequered injury record put off any potential suitors?

Wayne Rooney will retain the England captaincy following an announcement by Sam Allardyce on Monday.

Allardyce had refused to comment on whether Rooney would continue to skipper his country since taking over in July, but revealed as part of yesterdays’ media briefing that the Manchester United player would lead the Three Lions. "Wayne has been an excellent captain for England and the manner in which he has fulfilled the role made it an easy decision for me to ask him to continue," Allardyce told the Football Association's official website. "Wayne's record speaks for itself. He is the most senior member of the squad and he is hugely respected by his peers. All of these factors point towards him being the right choice to lead the team." Rooney took over from Steven Gerrard in 2014 and will become England’s most-capped outfield player [116th appearance] on Saturday if he is selected for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

Chelsea have sent striker Patrick Bamford to Burnley FC on a season-long loan spell.

This deal was reported yesterday but becomes official today, as Bamford is loaned out to a third Premier League side since last summer. His previous two stints, half-seasons at Crystal Palace and Norwich City were entirely disappointing, making only thirteen combined appearances for two sides that did not have top-level strikers to block him from playing time, but he failed to score a single goal and it was a year that surely stunted his development. He is still only 22-years-old though and had an excellent campaign two seasons ago when loaned to Middlesbrough, so there is still hope for a breakout. He is firmly behind Andre Gray in the pecking order but could challenge Sam Vokes for starts at some stage in Sean Dyche's 4-4-2 system. He is only worth adding in fantasy draft leagues if you are desperate for a striker that might eventually be of use.

Lucas Perez will be announced as an Arsenal player today adding speed and directness to a forward line in need of reinforcements.

With Olivier Giroud the only fit center forward and Alexis Sanchez struggling to fill that role over the first three weeks of the Premier League season, Arsenal will be buoyed by the arrival of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna. Exactly how this impacts Arsene Wenger's starting eleven won't be clear for a while. Theo Walcott has started the season well and shares some qualities with Perez but the forward has been consistently been described as a center forward so it seems likely he and Olivier Giroud will battle it out for playing time. It will probably be a month or so until we have a strong sense of the pecking order at the Emirates.

Arsenal have moved to reinforce their central defense with the arrival of German international Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.

With Per Mertesacker and Gabriel both injured, the German international will almost certainly partner Laurent Koscielny in the Arsenal defense as soon as Arsene Wenger feels he has had a sufficient adjustment period. Given that Mertesacker is aging and Gabriel has yet to prove himself, Mustafi is just as likely to be the season-long first choice alongside Koscielny when both are healthy as well. Rob Holding and Gabriel will compete to be Koscielny's long-term replacement as the 30-year-old defender declines over the next couple of seasons.

Serge Gnabry's impressive Olympics have earned him a reported move to Bayern Munich where he will immediately be loaned out to Werder Bremen.

The Arsenal winger failed to impress in his time at the Emirates and on loan elsewhere. Between injuries and an inability to break into the West Brom squad last season, it has been a rough few years for Gnabry. Things are looking up again with his Olympic performance coinciding nicely with the end of his Arsenal contract in a year's time. Arsenal would likely have loaned Gnabry out this season anyway meaning the club had little leverage. When Bayern Munich came knocking, Gnabry jumped at the opportunity even if he won't have a chance to feature in Bavaria until at least the 2017-18 season after a year rebuilding his stock in Bremen.
