Sunderland have made a loan offer to Udinese for Matej Vydra, with the Czech Republic striker's agent admitting a move to Wearside could appeal to his client.

Vydra is only 21-years old and scored 22 goals while on loan with Championship side Watford last season. Udinese are believed to want £8m for the Czech international but may accept another loan deal, with Sunderland unlikely to be able to afford to spend that much on one player. The capture of Vydra would provide some much needed support for last season's top scorer Steven Fletcher.

Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has accepted a Football Association charge of violent conduct after elbowing West Ham's Diafra Sakho.

Jedinak caught Hammers striker Sakho with an elbow near the end of Palace's 3-1 victory on Saturday but the incident was missed by the referee. The FA charged the midfielder retrospectively and he has accepted the charge. The Eagles say they are awaiting details of Jedinak's punishment, but it is widely expected that he will face a four games ban as this is his second red card offence of the season.

Massadio Haidara suffered a setback in training and is highly unlikely to feature for Newcastle United tomorrow evening when they host Manchester United.

Davide Santon would certainly come in handy right about now. The last thing the Magpies could afford was another casualty in defense but it is looking gloomy in that respect. This would almost have to give Ryan Taylor an opportunity to start unless they call up a youth player. Taylor played the final half hour over the weekend and grabbed double digit fantasy points in the process, with no goals or assists in that total - he is a fantasy darling in any fixture. He makes for a great differential in your XI this week.

Toby Alderweireld should be available for Southampton in week 28.

Alderweireld was out for seven weeks with a hamstring issue but is finally deemed fit and should be available for selection against Crystal Palace in midweek. It's a bit risky to use Alderweireld in fantasy due to the fact he might come off the bench since he hasn't played in such a long time, but he'll be a great choice starting next week.

Graziano Pelle could lose his starting job after a series of horrible performances.

Pelle has been absolutely horrific in recent weeks and just can't finish regardless of how good his chances have been. Ronald Koeman might choose to bench him in favor of Shane Long or another one of his winger/forward options. Regardless of whether he plays, we recommend not using Pelle in fantasy during this rough stretch.

Sunderland have both Wes Brown and John O'Shea available for the vital Week 28 clash at Hull, but are struggling with other absences.

Sunderland quite rightly won their appeal against the sending-off of Brown although his availability won’t guarantee any game time – the defender struggles to play consecutive games in quick succession. O’Shea will not face any retrospective action and he could partner Santiago Vergini or Seb Coates in the heart of defence if Gus Poyet decides the risk with Brown is too great. Will Buckley [knee] and Emanuele Giaccherini [ankle] are the only injury absentees but Adam Johnson has been suspended pending a further enquiry into his alleged relations with an underage girl. Billy Jones, Jack Rodwell and Ricky Alvarez are back in contention.

Crystal Palace are facing a striker shortage for Week 28 as they look to keep up their fine form at Southampton.

Palace will be full of confidence having comfortably brushed West Ham aside but the Eagles are suffering from a striker shortage as Glenn Murray serves a one game ban joining injured trio Marouane Chamakh, Yaya Sanogo and Fraizer Campbell [all hamstring] on the sidelines. Dwight Gayle is likely to be the lone frontman in a 4-5-1 with Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie supporting but Shola Ameobi is available should Pardew prefer a 4-4-2 formation. Jordan Mutch [thigh] will miss out after limping off at the Boleyn Ground while his replacement James McArthur should retain his place. Mile Jedinak has until 6pm [GMT] on Tuesday to respond to an FA charge of violent conduct following his alleged elbow on Diafra Sakho.

Queens Park Rangers will be missing two key midfielders for the London derby with Arsenal in Week 28.

QPR arrive back from a week of warm weather training in Dubai fully refreshed following their extended break and the Hoops will be looking to end Arsenal’s seven game winning streak. Joey Barton [suspended] is out for three matches and with Leroy Fer sidelined until April Chris Ramsey may be tempted to throw the fit-again Sandro straight back into the fray. Nedum Onuoha and Mauricio Isla are close to a return but Darnell Furlong should retain his place after making his debut at the KC Stadium in GW26.

Manuel Pellegrini is likely to freshen up his line-up after back to back defeats for Manchester City.

Pellegrini will be hoping to forget Sundays’ disappointment and get his title challenge back on track and realistically City can ill-afford any further slip-ups. Wilfried Bony is still waiting for his first start since joining from Swansea but with Edin Dzeko scoring in back-to-back game weeks the Bosnian looks to be the preferred strike partner of Sergio Aguero on current form. Other possible changes are likely to occur at full-back where Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna could be swapped for Zabaleta and Kolarov while Eliaquim Mangala may step aside for Martin Demichelis. In midfield Jesus Navas, James Milner and Fernando all have a case but realistically only Fernandinho is at risk unless the Chilean coach reverts back to his preferred 4-5-1 formation.

Kyle Walker is a doubt for Tottenham's match with Swansea after playing on with an injury in the Capital One Cup Final on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino will check on a number of players ahead of Wednesdays’ game with Kyle Walker being the biggest concern – Eric Dier could move across onto the right with Frederico Fazio coming into the centre. Ben Davies has a chance of facing his former employers although it would mean Danny Rose dropping to the bench but Michel Vorm is unlikely to trouble Hugo Lloris in goal and will have to be satisfied with a place on the bench having failed to start a single league game since his move from Swansea. Eric Lamela and Mousa Dembele were restricted to minutes from the sideline at Wembley so the pair will be hoping for a recall - Nacer Chadli and Andros Townsend are the two players most at risk.

Tottenham and QPR both have a double gameweek in week 28.

Tottenham and QPR were both out of action in week 27 due to Tottenham's Capital One Cup final against Chelsea so they are making up their game this week. This gives both teams' players two chances to earn fantasy points and it's generally a wise idea to stack up on double gameweeks whenever possible. Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose, and Charlie Austin are some good options for the double week.
Mar 2 - 11:55 PM

Ron Vlaar is questionable for Tuesday's match against West Brom with an injury.

Vlaar served a suspension in gameweek 27 and now is in danger of missing week 28 through an injury. Tim Sherwood has labeled him "touch and go", so it's not exactly clear whether he'll be able to play on Tuesday. Avoid him in fantasy for the week, especially with Villa not being able to keep any clean sheets lately. Kieran Richardson and Phillippe Senderos continue to be out while Alan Hutton and Aly Cissokho are doubts.
