John Terry has signed a new one year deal with Chelsea and will remain at Stamford Bridge next season.

This will be Terry's 20th year at the club. Terry had a fantastic season this year after suffering from multiple injuries and a lack of trust last season. Terry led Chelsea's squad to 16 clean sheets in his 34 matches. He only missed four matches due to injury and looked healthy and fresh during the entire season. Terry and Gary Cahill should continue to anchor the Chelsea defense next year and we expect them to be one of the best defensive teams in the Premier League once again. Terry, Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, and Cesar Azpilicueta are all expected to be great fantasy choices next season.

Callum Wilson has signed a new deal with AFC Bournemouth that will see the striker committed to the club for the next four years.

Wilson was the primary goal supplier in the Championship two seasons ago, helping guide the Cherries to a top flight promotion with 23 goals across all competitions. He looked set to continue his success in the Premier League, scoring five time in his first six PL starts, but he then ruptured his ACL and missed nearly the rest of the season, returning for Bournemouth's final few games. He came through those final appearances without incident and is poised to make his mark this coming season as Eddie Howe's top striker of choice. The Cherries have plenty of other options at the position, most notably Benik Afobe, along with the likes of Glenn Murray and Lewis Grabban. Wilson should see plenty of starts if he stays fit though, making him a forward worth targeting in this summer's fantasy drafts and a budget third striker in the FPL game.

The move from FC Schalke to Liverpool for Joel Matip is now official, as the center back will fight for a regular spot in Jurgen Klopp's XI.

With Matip's contract at Schalke expiring today, he joins the Reds on a free transfer, signing a four-year deal with the club. With Kolo Toure having been released earlier this summer and Martin Skrtel appearing set to depart the club, Liverpool were in need to sign a center back to go along with incumbent starters Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho. Both Lovren and Sakho have had their ups and downs in the past season, so the door is wide open for Matip to leapfrog one of the two for a regular spot. The German-born Cameroon international is also versatile enough to play in defensive midfield, giving Klopp yet more flexibility with his squad. Only 24 years of age, Matip could become a fantasy commodity should he lock down a spot and Liverpool tighten up defensively. He also has the occasional goal in him, scoring three or four times in his last four seasons at Schalke.

Belgium have been dealt a blow in defense ahead of their quarterfinal match with Wales as Jan Vertonghen has picked up an ankle injury in training and could miss up to eight weeks.

Thomas Vermaelen will miss out against Wales as well, as he serves a suspension, so the left half of the Belgian defensive line that had started the entire tournament to this point will be absent in the quarterfinal. This gives a boost to Wales attacking players like Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in the fantasy game, as Jason Denayer looks to step in at center back to partner Toby Alderweireld and Romelu Lukaku's younger brother, Jordan, will line up at left back. Vertonghen is in danger of being ready for Tottenham's opener this coming season based on his current timetable.

Alexandre Pato, Radamel Falcao and Marco Amelia have all left Chelsea, the club have confirmed.

Chelsea decided against taking up an option to sign Pato from Brazilian club Corinthians on a four-year deal and the striker – who scored just once following his arrival in January – will return to his homeland with only six months remaining on his current contract. Falcao will be given the opportunity to prove himself once again at Monaco following an injury plagued few years in England. The Colombian was restricted to just one Premier League start since arriving last summer from Manchester United, scoring his only goal against Crystal Palace in August 2015. Italian journeyman Amelia leaves having failed to break into the first team. The 34-year-old arrived as back-up to Thibaut Courtois in October but underwent knee surgery soon after which kept him out until the beginning of 2016.

Bacary Sagna has hailed new Manchester City signing Nolito believing his "superior" technical qualities will make him a success in the Premier League.

The £14million arrival from Spanish side Celta Vigo is Pep Guardiola’s second major City signing following the addition of German international Ilkay Gundogan who joined from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal. Nolito spent three seasons at Os Celestes scoring 39 times in 100 La Liga appearances before agreeing to re-join his former manager [he played under Guardiola at Barcelona from 2008-2011, although much of his time was spent with the Catalans’ B side]. Nolito started all four of Spain's matches at Euro 2016, scoring once against Turkey, and his performances caught the eye of new team-mate Sagna: "He's going to bring a lot to the team," he said. "He has some qualities and technique that are superior to other players He has had a very good season and did an excellent Euro with Spain. He signed for a reason and I am very pleased about this."

Newcastle United are expected to announce the signing of Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace while winger Andros Townsend travels in the opposite direction.

Gayle was pictured on Tyneside following talks with United and will sign a five-year deal, reportedly to be worth in the region of £8.5million. The 25-year-old joins following a frustrating spell at Selhurst Park in which he failed to nail down a regular starting spot. Gayle becomes the second addition to the United squad this week joining former Gent goalkeeper Matz Sels. However, there could be yet further deals to be done over the next 24-48 hours as Rafa Benitez begins to shape his Championship squad. Crystal Palace have triggered Andros Townsend’s release clause stealing a march on the likes of Watford and West Ham while AFC Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie has already been lined up as a potential replacement.

In his typical style, Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced on his official Twitter page that he will be playing for Manchester United this coming season.

After a legendary career that made stops in the Eredivisie with Ajax, Serie A with Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, La Liga with Barcelona and most recently Ligue One with PSG, the larger-than-life striker will finally make his mark in the PL. Much anticipation awaits for the Red Devils this coming season, with Jose Mourinho managing and Zlatan now arriving. It should officially end the era of Wayne Rooney playing at striker and Marcus Rashford will likely be making more appearances off the bench and starting in cup games assuming Zlatan stays fit. Then again, Mourinho may have just bought himself the newest version of Falcao and everything goes sour. Zlatan will certainly look to improve on his Euro performance but he should have plenty of improved quality around him. Expect his fantasy price tag to be through the roof. It could be a boom or bust early/expensive pick in draft leagues while FPL managers may want to wait and see before breaking their banks.

Eddie Howe has completed his third signing of the summer transfer window by snapping up French under-20 starlet Lys Mousset from Le Harve.

Mousset who can play centrally or out wide arrives on the back of a successful season in Ligue 2 where the 20-year-old grabbed 14-goals in his 28 appearances. The Cherries moved quickly to secure the services of Mousset for £5.4million on a four-year deal following interest from Southampton and Italian side Torino. He joins recent arrivals Emerson Hyndman [from Fulham] and Nathan Ake [season long loan deal from Chelsea] as Eddie Howe prepares his Cherries squad for another season in the top flight. One player who could be on his way out of the Vitality is winger Matt Ritchie, who has been targeted by Championship side Newcastle United as a potential replacement for Andros Townsend who is expected to sign for Crystal Palace.

West Bromwich Albion confirmed midfielder James Morrison has signed a new contract to remain at the club this summer.

Reports claimed Sunderland and Middlesbrough, Morrison's former club before arriving at West Brom in 2007, were chasing the 30-year-old, whose contract was set to expire in a few days. But the Baggies secured Morrison for two more years through the summer of 2019 with a club option for a third year. Last season, Morrison made 18 Premier League appearances, recording three goals and three assists, before suffering a knee injury that kept him out for the final three months of the season.

Rumors have linked demoted Newcastle with Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie as they look to rebound back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

It looks like Crystal Palace is interested in triggering the release clause in Andros Townsend's contract creating some needs and surplus cash at St. James' Park. The links to both Gayle and Ritchie have been circulating for some time but reports in the Press Association today have indicated that moves might be coming close. The deal for Ritchie is said to be in the neighborhood of £10m with the player headed to Tyneside to negotiate personal terms. Ritchie was slightly disappointing moving up to the Premier League after an exceptional season in Bournemouth's promotion season. Perhaps the Cherries view Ritchie as unable to make the leap to above-average Premier League performer and want to cash in before that opinion is confirmed.

With Belgium manager Marc Wilmots indicating that Michy Batshuayi was excused from training to take a medical the rumor mill has him close to a move to Chelsea.

Batshuayi has been linked with Crystal Palace, Spurs and Chelsea within the past week so it is at least plausible that his medical could be with any of those clubs. Conspiracy theorists have suggested that Batshuayi's camp circulated the Palace rumor to push the pace with Chelsea and Spurs with Chelsea seemingly in the lead as of this morning. Presumably we'll know the answer soon enough but it looks like Diego Costa might have some company/competition on the forward line at Stamford Bridge this season.
