Tottenham have confirmed that Franco Baldini has joined the Club in the role of Technical Director.

Andre Villas-Boas was keen on a continental management structure at White Hart Lane and will therefore be pleased with Baldini's appointment. It remains to be seen if the experienced Italian will prove a success, but his knowledge and contacts across Europe and South America could prove extremely useful as Spurs look to attract the sort of talent that could persuade Gareth Bale to stay.

Fernando Llorente has been kept out of the squad for Swansea's match against Liverpool as the striker is dealing with a minor rib injury.

There was no mention of Llorente's injury up until team news was released an hour before kickoff, but reports indicate it is a minor problem, so with the international break coming up, he should likely come back into contention for Week 8 against Arsenal. Borja makes his second consecutive start as the lead striker while youngster Oliver McBurnie makes the bench as a secondary option.

Jefferson Montero has been kept out of the matchday squad for Swansea City's tilt with Liverpool as the winger is dealing with an ankle injury.

Montero is one of three Swans who were not injury flagged heading into the day, only to have the information released after the club submitted their team sheet. The Ecuadorian international has yet to make a start for Swansea in league play this season but has made a few appearances in the final half hour of matches as a substitute. He had just signed a new contract last week that will see him committed to the club until 2020 but, for today, Francesco Guidolin will not be able to call on him. On the bright side, the international break will give Montero time to recover before the Jacks Week 8 clash with Arsenal.

Federico Fernandez is one of three late scratches for Swansea City today, as he misses out the contest with Liverpool with a minor groin injury.

Fernandez was dropped a week ago in the match against Manchester City for Mike van der Hoorn and the Dutchman steps in once again to partner Jordi Amat against the Reds. Alfie Mawson, who was brought in late during the summer window serves as the backup center back on the bench today. Interestingly, Stephen Kingsley has been kept out of the squad for the second week running, with no report of injury. Angel Rangel and Kyle Naughton are the fullbacks of choice with Neil Taylor taking his place on the bench.

Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke scored each of their club's goals as Everton and Crystal Palace drew 1-1 at Goodison Park on Friday.

Everton began the match looking the better side as their offensive pressure saw them control the majority of the early chances. The Toffees eventually found their break through when they were award a free-kick after Phil Jagielka was fouled just outside the area. Romelu Lukaku made the most of the opportunity as his curling effort flew over the stationary wall and in, leaving goalkeeper Steve Mandanda helpless. Crystal Palace responded just five minutes when Christian Benteke converted a difficult header in the 50th minute. The Eagles then appeared to have grabbed the lead 15 minutes later as Delaney headed in, but the assistant's flag was up. Lukaku's goal, his fifh this season, would go on to prove enough for Everton to end Palace's two-match Premier League unbeaten streak.

Christian Benteke scored a goal (one shot on target) in Crystal Palace's entertaining and controversial 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Friday.

Benteke was the hero for Crystal Palace for the second match in a row. The Belgian international leveled the score when he headed in a cross from Joel Ward in the 50th minute, which was his third goal in five appearances since moving to Palace. The Eagles continued to press Everton and looked to have went ahead when Damien Delaney converted a header in the 75th minute. However, following a discussion between the two officials, it was decided the effort should not stand as the assistant's flag went up on the goal. The result of the match pushed Palace to 7th in the table and saw Benteke score his fifth goal in six career matches against the Toffees.

After missing last weekend with a hamstring complaint, Younes Kaboul could return to Walter Mazzarri's starting eleven with Craig Cathcart and Miguel Britos both uncertain.

Given that the Cherries have struggled to score all season, any news related to defenders potentially starting against them is important. This is even more true given that the Hornets are hosting Eddie Howe's men improving the chances of a clean sheet further. Kaboul, who tends to do well on peripheral statistics like aerial duels won and tackles won when he plays, could be a solid low end/emergency starter in draft/auction formats and even worthy of consideration for salary cap formats based on a potentially low price and the chance of a clean sheet.

Craig Cathcart's starting status against Bournemouth in Week 7 is questionable due to a groin injury.

If Cathcart can't go then Younes Kaboul is likely to return to the starting eleven for Walter Mazzarri's side. Cathcart hasn't been a great fantasy performer thus far but the arrival of the Cherries and their attacking woes provides some hope for a clean sheet at Vicarage Road. Kaboul is now the odds on favorite to benefit from a good match-up.

Joe Allen faces a race against the clock to be ready for Stoke City's trip to Old Trafford in Week 7.

Tightness in his hamstring has meant that the Wales international has yet to train since his goal-scoring turn against West Brom last weekend. With the Potters languishing in 19th place, Mark Hughes may err on the side of bringing his summer acquisition back sooner rather than later. Hughes' job may well be in danger if the Potters don't pick up their first win of the season soon.

Tell me if you've heard this before, James Morrison might be ready to return from his hamstring injury for Week 7 at Sunderland.

Morrison's return from a serious hamstring injury suffered at the start of 2016 has lingered long enough that you'd think he played for Arsenal. After a couple false starts there is again news that he could be ready to go as Albion journey to the Stadium of Light to face bottom-of-the-table Sunderland. You wouldn't blame Tony Pulis for continuing to be cautious with an international breaking coming up but presumably he's eager to have his creative midfielder back too. Exercise caution in including Morrison for fantasy purposes as we've been fooled before by "he might be ready" headlines.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman confirmed a bit of bittersweet injury news ahead of Friday night's matchup with Crystal Palace.

The Toffees will be without Baines for a second straight week after he missed the loss to Bournemouth last weekend with a hamstring injury. Bryan Oviedo is set to fill in again at left-back after starting last weekend. Said Koeman: "It’s too risky and after tomorrow we have the international break, so we don’t want to take that risk." Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku will start against Palace despite continuing to fight off a toe injury that has bothered him for the past two weeks. "It’s still painful but he did this week’s sessions and will start," Koeman said.

Alan Pardew confirmed Crystal Palace will welcome winger Wilfried Zaha back into the lineup Friday night against Everton.

The former Manchester United man missed last weekend's come-from-behind win against Sunderland with a hamstring injury, as Yohan Cabaye came back into the lineup next to Joe Ledley and James McArthur. The news wasn't all good as the manager revealed Jonathan Benteke will miss the next three months with a knee injury. "Wilfried Zaha is back in the frame after missing the game at Sunderland but we have had a serious knee injury this week to Jonathan Benteke which is going to keep out of action for around three or four months. In training his knee locked when he was doing a finishing drill and he unfortunately needs an operation. It’s a shame for him and us but the group that travelled last week will go up to Everton plus the addition of Wilf."
