Daniel Sturridge missed a series of chances as England drew their last World Cup match 0-0.

England played group winners Costa Rica in what was an irrelevant match for both teams. Costa Rica needed a draw to ensure they won the group, but they would most likely have won the group with a loss as well. England had already been eliminated from moving on, so Roy Hodgson decided to go with a young lineup. The inexperienced lineup struggled to play exciting football and bore fans to a 0-0 draw. Outside of Sturridge missing a few chances, England looked fairly average and unexciting. They'll need to improve if they want to qualify for Euro 2016.

Leonardo Ulloa scored a brace as Leicester City came from behind to stun Manchester United in a thrilling match.

The Foxes went down 2-0 and 3-1 before storming back in the second half to win 5-3 over struggling Manchester United. Ulloa scored the first and last with the others supplied by Nugent, Cambiasso and Vardy.

Tottenham picked a bad day to put on a poor display, dropping all the points at home to a weak West Bromwich Albion side who managed to grab a goal in the latter stages and beat Spurs 0-1.

Fantasy Premier League managers around the globe are pulling clumps of hair out after this result, as a home game to West Brom looked to be an environment in which the Spurs attack could display the best they have to offer. Instead, what they came up with was a side lacking the creativity or sense of urgency needed to get a goal on the board, especially from a normally reliable Eriksen. One big defensive mistake in leaving a man unmarked on a free kick is what caused them to come out completely empty-handed. Playing Arsenal next week, Mauricio Pochettino better pull a tactical rabbit out of his hat should he expect any kind of positive result.

A header by James Morrison in the 74th minute was the lone goal of the day as the Baggies earn three needed points on the road, defeating a struggling Spurs side 0-1.

Entering play, West Brom looked like one of the three early relegation candidates, having gone without a goal since opening day, but they took advantage Spurs lack of energy and attacking ideas to nick a goal in the latter stages of the match and grab a deserved win. The winner came from a Chris Brunt corner which Morrison headed home easily, completely unmarked. Some credit also needs to go to Joleon Lescott, who's presence in defense has perhaps given West Brom a vital piece to stay afloat in the league this season.

De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Blackett, Rojo, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Falcao, Rooney, van Persie

Radamel Falcao gets his first Manchester United start while Juan Mata moves to the bench. Luke Shaw also continues to be a very high priced reserve despite reportedly being both healthy and match fit.

Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konchesky, Hammond, Cambiasso, Nugent, Drinkwater, Vardy, Ulloa

Kasper Schmeichel returns to the starting line-up as the Foxes prepare to host Manchester United. The number one goalkeeper is joined in the starting line-up by Cambiasso, Drinkwater and Vardy while Hamer, King, Mahrez and Schlupp are only reserves today.

Victor Wanyama scored his first goal for Southampton to give the Saints an impressive three points away from home.

The assist came from Graziano Pelle, the striker who has been in hot form for the past few matches. Southampton and Swansea were matched well in the first half but after Wilfried Bony was sent off in the 39th minute, Saints took more and more control of the match and eventually got the winner they were looking for. Some soccer analytics guys now have Southampton at anywhere from 20-40% chance of finishing in the top four and that speaks a lot about the quality this team has brought this season.

Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck each had a goal and an assist in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Ozil scored the first goal of the game off a great through ball from Danny Welbeck in the 33rd minute. Less than two minutes later Ozil returned the favor, assisting on Welbeck's first goal for the Gunners since joining the team earlier this month. An own goal in the 36th minute sealed the deal as Arsenal allowed Villa just 37 percent possession and two shots on goal. The Gunners will face Tottenham at home next weekend and Villa will play on the road at Chelsea.

Vito Mannone and Tom Heaton stopped six shots apiece to help their side earn a clean sheet on Saturday.

Each team found the target six times and hit the woodwork, but after 90-plus and 31 total shots neither side could get the job done. Sunderland and Burnley have now combined for seven draws through its first 10 fixtures to start the season. The two bottom table teams continue to hover just above the relegation zone due to draws. Sunderland will look to get their first win of the season at home next weekend in a tough test vs Swansea and Burnley will look to do the same as they travel to West Brom.

West Ham stunned Liverpool by scoring twice inside the first seven minutes of the match and it would prove to be enough as they went on to win 3-1.

As is often the case, Sam Allardyce entered today's match needing a positive result and this win over the Reds will certainly go far in the hearts and minds of Hammers supporters. As he was in the draw this past Monday against Hull, Stewart Downing was instrumental once again in spearheading the attack, whipping in one cross after the next. He showed some set piece magic by teeing up Winston Reid for a header that put the Hammers ahead for good just two minutes into the contest. Downing was an assist machine going back to his days at Aston Villa and may have found that form once again this season, making him a viable fantasy prospect most weeks.

Liverpool found themselves down by two goals and were forced to change tactics due to a key defensive injury early in their match with West Ham and they could not recover, losing their third match in four, 3-1.

The Reds were given a swift uppercut early and just could not get it right today after Javi Manquillo was forced off due to injury. It proved to be a perfect example however of how even when the Reds are struggling, Raheem Sterling has the special kind of flair that can create and score goals in any given match. Like last season, Pool look to have issues in defense and the signing of Dejan Lovren has yet to pay dividends, meaning their attack once again has to be leaned on, but in this post-Suarez team, those 4 and 5 goal games may be harder to come by

Queens Park Rangers trailed twice but managed to respond with goals to stay level with Stoke City, the final equalizer scored by way of a superb free kick from Niko Kranjcar as the two sides played to a 2-2 draw.

Rangers looked their typical disorganized selves but managed to keep pace with the Potters thanks to some key set piece conversions. The first came when Steven Caulker headed home a Jordon Mutch corner, though it could be argued that Stoke were responsible for an own goal. The second came with just a few moments remaining as Kranjcar skillfully curled a free kick over the Stoke wall and into the top corner. Expect to see plenty of Kranjcar in Redknapp's XI for the near future, not only has he been on of the few bright spots for Rangers in the early going, but injuries in this game to Mutch and Joey Barton may leave Redknapp with few options in midfield.
