Germany destroyed Brazil 7-1 in what is one of the biggest World Cup shocks of all time.

The German team scored an incredible four goals in just six minutes in the first half and went into halftime with a 5-0 lead. Thomas Muller, Miroslav Klose, Toni Kroos, and Sami Khedira all scored in that historic first half. In the second, Chelsea substitute Andre Schurrle came on to score two goals in finish off Brazil. In the late minutes of the match, fellow Chelsea star Oscar scored a consolation goal for Brazil as they walked off the pitch as one of the biggest embarrassments the country has ever experienced. Germany face the winner of Argentina and the Netherlands in the final on Sunday.

Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are expected to spend the next two-weeks working hard to recover from injury in an attempt to be ready to face Manchester United in game week eight.

Lallana over stretchered in the first half at the Liberty handing Daniel Sturridge an early opportunity, the Liverpool forward has started the last two games on the bench. Meanwhile, the injury to Lovren was less evident and only became apparent after the final whistle. The Croatian defender was back in the Liverpool starting line-up, replacing Ragnar Klavan, following his recovery from a viral infection but he was unable prevent Swansea from scoring to extend Liverpool’s run to 8 games without a clean sheet in the Premier League. Speaking post-match Jürgen Klopp confirmed the injured duo will be assessed to determine the extent of the injuries: "Lallana has a groin problem and Dejan Lovren too. We will see what they have exactly. Hopefully they'll use the break to recover."

The curse of the West Ham full-back continued against Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon after Sam Byram was stretchered off during the opening exchanges.

The young right-back was starting his third Premier League game of the season, in the absence of Havard Nordtveit, who was ruled out after undergoing a ‘small medical procedure’ this week. However, Byram lasted just seven minutes after he pulled up sharply as he attempted to head the ball clear. The defender appeared to be holding his hamstring as he went down before he was lifted on to a buggy and wheeled off the pitch with Alvaro Arbeloa replacing him. Byram joins long-term injured full-backs Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell in the treatment room although the latter could be back after the international break following his recovery from a knee ligament injury.

Leroy Fer collected his fourth goal of the season but Swansea City squandered an early lead and would eventually fall at the hands of Liverpool in a 1-2 loss.

With a game that many think would decide the fate of manager Francesco Guidolin, his players did him no favors by missing a few big chances to score and allowing a match-winner via a penalty. They took the lead early, when Leroy Fer poached a goal that started from a corner, was headed by Borja, then touched by Mike van der Hoorn before Fer cleaned up. Borja had two good chances at headed goals on either side of the Fer goal but was off target. The Reds then found the fluid attack they've been accustomed to in the second half and scored the go-ahead goal on the 84th minute. Still, the Swans had a chance at the last minute to equalize, but van der Hoorn scuffed a shot from point blank range.

Liverpool found themselves a goal down heading into the second half but they got their attack going again, with Roberto Firmino scoring and drawing a penalty that provided the match-winner as the Reds edged Swansea City, 1-2.

After being kept out of the scoring fun when the Reds put up five goals last week, Firmino grabbed the spotlight today. The Reds defense were questionable once again, conceding the opener inside of 8 minutes and continuing their season without collecting a clean sheet. Things took a turn for the worse when Adam Lallana left on 20 minutes with a groin injury. The Reds attack finally started to click in the second frame though and Firmino leveled the score with a header from a Jordan Henderson free kick. Then, in the 84th minute, Firmino drew a foul in the box, allowing James Milner to score the winner from the spot. Milner has four shots on the season, all from penalties, and has scored them all, including three in the last two games. A big match against Manchester United awaits the Reds next after the international break.

Adam Lallana had to leave the match against Swansea City after only 20 minutes due to a groin injury.

Lallana has been in fantastic form, having as much to do with the success of the Reds high-flying attack as anyone, so to see him make his way down the tunnel after 20 minutes is a major blow to the club. He went to ground once before, picked himself to continue on, but collapsed again a few minutes later. Hopefully, that attempt to play on hasn't further damaged the injury. It would seem he will certainly miss out of international duty for England over the break but we will need to wait for an assessment on his groin before determining if how much, if any, more time he may be out.

Fernando Llorente has been kept out of the squad for Swansea's match against Liverpool as the striker is dealing with a minor rib injury.

There was no mention of Llorente's injury up until team news was released an hour before kickoff, but reports indicate it is a minor problem, so with the international break coming up, he should likely come back into contention for Week 8 against Arsenal. Borja makes his second consecutive start as the lead striker while youngster Oliver McBurnie makes the bench as a secondary option.

Jefferson Montero has been kept out of the matchday squad for Swansea City's tilt with Liverpool as the winger is dealing with an ankle injury.

Montero is one of three Swans who were not injury flagged heading into the day, only to have the information released after the club submitted their team sheet. The Ecuadorian international has yet to make a start for Swansea in league play this season but has made a few appearances in the final half hour of matches as a substitute. He had just signed a new contract last week that will see him committed to the club until 2020 but, for today, Francesco Guidolin will not be able to call on him. On the bright side, the international break will give Montero time to recover before the Jacks Week 8 clash with Arsenal.

Federico Fernandez is one of three late scratches for Swansea City today, as he misses out the contest with Liverpool with a minor groin injury.

Fernandez was dropped a week ago in the match against Manchester City for Mike van der Hoorn and the Dutchman steps in once again to partner Jordi Amat against the Reds. Alfie Mawson, who was brought in late during the summer window serves as the backup center back on the bench today. Interestingly, Stephen Kingsley has been kept out of the squad for the second week running, with no report of injury. Angel Rangel and Kyle Naughton are the fullbacks of choice with Neil Taylor taking his place on the bench.

Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke scored each of their club's goals as Everton and Crystal Palace drew 1-1 at Goodison Park on Friday.

Everton began the match looking the better side as their offensive pressure saw them control the majority of the early chances. The Toffees eventually found their break through when they were award a free-kick after Phil Jagielka was fouled just outside the area. Romelu Lukaku made the most of the opportunity as his curling effort flew over the stationary wall and in, leaving goalkeeper Steve Mandanda helpless. Crystal Palace responded just five minutes when Christian Benteke converted a difficult header in the 50th minute. The Eagles then appeared to have grabbed the lead 15 minutes later as Delaney headed in, but the assistant's flag was up. Lukaku's goal, his fifh this season, would go on to prove enough for Everton to end Palace's two-match Premier League unbeaten streak.

Christian Benteke scored a goal (one shot on target) in Crystal Palace's entertaining and controversial 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park on Friday.

Benteke was the hero for Crystal Palace for the second match in a row. The Belgian international leveled the score when he headed in a cross from Joel Ward in the 50th minute, which was his third goal in five appearances since moving to Palace. The Eagles continued to press Everton and looked to have went ahead when Damien Delaney converted a header in the 75th minute. However, following a discussion between the two officials, it was decided the effort should not stand as the assistant's flag went up on the goal. The result of the match pushed Palace to 7th in the table and saw Benteke score his fifth goal in six career matches against the Toffees.

After missing last weekend with a hamstring complaint, Younes Kaboul could return to Walter Mazzarri's starting eleven with Craig Cathcart and Miguel Britos both uncertain.

Given that the Cherries have struggled to score all season, any news related to defenders potentially starting against them is important. This is even more true given that the Hornets are hosting Eddie Howe's men improving the chances of a clean sheet further. Kaboul, who tends to do well on peripheral statistics like aerial duels won and tackles won when he plays, could be a solid low end/emergency starter in draft/auction formats and even worthy of consideration for salary cap formats based on a potentially low price and the chance of a clean sheet.
