Aurelio DeLaurentiis, President of Napoli, has Tweeted out his official welcome to Michu who arrives in Italy after two uneven years at Swansea City.

The Spanish attacking midfielder's first season was hailed as one of the best bang-for-the-buck seasons in recent Premier League memory as the Swans got 18 goals in 35 PL appearances for a negligible transfer fee. Things went in the opposite direction last season as injury wrecked his sophomore season for the Swans and limited him to 2 goals in 17 appearances. The deal is reportedly an initial loan with an £8million payment in a year. Not ideal, but given how little he produced last season both clubs were always going to have to take some risk if a move were going to happen.

Dejan Lovren has completed his move to Liverpool for a fee of £20m.

Liverpool have acquired yet another Southampton player, this time center-back Dejan Lovren. Lovren is a very solid defender who had an incredible season last year and should help Liverpool's average defense. Liverpool were great in attack last season but can certainly use an upgrade in defense and Lovren should provide immediate help. Lovren will likely be a starter on day one and should have solid fantasy value throughout the season.

Both Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton and forward/winger Marvin Emnes are struggling with knee injuries that have ruled them out for the Swans Premier League opener against Manchester United.

Britton's specific injury is a bone bruise to the knee while Emnes is dealing with a cartilage issue. Britton was most likely to play a part in the season opener with Emnes destined for a bench role at best would he be available. Neither are fantasy options nor does their absence create any.

Liverpool have pulled out of a deal to sign QPR striker Loic Remy.

While no official statement has been released, the majority of media outlets are reporting that Remy failed his medical, leaving Liverpool no choice but to withdraw their £8.5million offer. However, Sky Sports have suggested that Fabio Borini's refusal to move to Sunderland on a permanent basis is the real sticking point, with Brendan Rodgers unable to move for another striker when he already has Borini, Daniel Sturridge and Ricky Lambert in his squad. Whatever the reason, the collapse leaves Remy's career in limbo.

Tottenham completed their pre-season tour of North American with a comfortable win over Chicago Fire.

This was the final game of Tottenham's US tour and they leave undefeated after drawing with Seattle, and beating Toronto and Chicago. An early goal from Harry Kane and a late goal from Arron Lennon sealed a 2-0 win here, with Erik Lamela impressive again. Kane got a fair amount of pitch time towards the end of last season and is expected to play a key squad role this season, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to give the younger players an opportunity to impress as he did at Southampton.

Sunderland have signed Netherlands international Patrick van Aanholt from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.

This is an important deal for Sunderland, who had no recognised left-back in their squad after Marcos Alonso's loan deal ended back in May. van Aanholt never made the grade at Chelsea, spending the past two seasons out on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, but he is highly regarded in Holland and very nearly made the Dutch World Cup squad. It will be interesting to see how he copes back in the Premier League, as he could be a fantasy option worth keeping an eye on if he secures a starting spot at the Stadium of Light.

Adam Lallana suffered a knee injury in training that is set to keep him sidelined at the start of the 2014/2015 Premier League season,

Lallana has ligament damage after training in Boston as the Reds are in the midst of their preseason tour in the United States. A fantasy stud last season, managers will now need to wait on his return to invest. It is probably best to take a wait-and-see approach regardless as his role in Liverpool's side may very well not be as productive as his days in Southampton. In recent years, midfielders like Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing made the jump to Anfield after a great year with a smaller club and failed miserably.

This one has been simmering for a month but reports on BBC.com and elsewhere have Calum Chambers completing a medical with Arsenal and agreeing to personal terms in advance of finalizing a move to the Emirates for £12Million.

Able to play center back and right back, the 19-year-old will likely provide cover for newly signed Mathieu Debuchy and potentially allow Arsene Wenger to sell Thomas Vermaelen to Manchester United or Barcelona. Chambers represents much-needed depth and youth in defense. Debuchy is already 28 so it may not be long until Chambers is challenging for the starting right back role.

Chelsea have confirmed the return of Didier Drogba on a one year deal.

Drogba is a Chelsea legend, having won a Champions League, three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and two League Cups during his time at the club. He has scored 157 goals in 341 Chelsea matches and is loved by Blues fans around the world. Drogba will probably be used off the bench as he is 36 years old and on the decline of his career. Despite that, he remains a solid target man who can be used at end of games when Chelsea need to get a goal. Using Drogba in fantasy will be a risky move unless Diego Costa suffers an injury.

Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches is a summer transfer target for AS Roma.

Chiriches had a bright start to his Tottenham career before picking up a back injury that ruled him out for much of the second half of the season, and there have been constant rumours that the 24-year-old is unsettled in England. Sky Sports are now reporting that Spurs will allow Chiriches to move if they can recoup the £7.5m fee paid last summer, with Roma interested. If the a move does happen then Mauricio Pochettino may need to bring in two defenders, with Michael Dawson also free to leave the club.

Leicester, QPR and Crystal Palace are interested in Tottenham's Lewis Holtby.

Holtby has never settled at White Hart Lane and spent the final few months of the last campaign on loan to Fulham. The midfielder is determined to get regular first team football this season, but a move away will depend on whether he can impress Mauricio Pochettino during pre-season. The 23-year-old's fitness and work-rate should do him plenty of favours, with the new Spurs manager a big fan of imposing a pressing game on opponents, so there is still a chance Holtby will be included in Tottenham's plans.
