Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell is to have a medical at Crystal Palace later on Wednesday, according to Sky sources.

Sky had already reported that a fee had been agreed between Palace and Cardiff, before Premier League new-boys Leicester City tried to gazump the deal by meeting Campbell's release clause. However, Sky Sports claim talks with the Foxes have since collapsed, leaving the striker free to travel to London to finalise personal terms and complete a medical.

Craig Cathcart watch continues as the center back continues to try to recover from a knee injury, this time with the visit of Liverpool as the target return date.

Frankly, Watford haven't missed Cathcart or the injured Younes Kaboul a great deal. Walter Mazzarri hasn't had a full contingent of center backs in what seems like months but the Hornets keep plugging along never really falling into a big slump. With Liverpool continuing to struggle against teams that sit back and absorb Jurgen Klopp's pressure you wouldn't bet against Mazzarri's side getting a point or more at Vicarage Road despite the pedigree of their opponents and the absences at center back.

Leicester City striker Islam Slimani returned to training on Thursday and could feature against West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

The Algerian international has been recovering from a groin strain, which forced him to miss the last two league matches, and appears to have a chance of returning against the Baggies this weekend. However, despite scoring in consecutive appearances prior to suffering the injury, Slimani is unlikely to start as he's been out of action for three weeks. If Slimani does make the squad chances are he will feature off the bench, in relief of either Shinji Okazaki or Jamir Vardy. On Slimani's availability, Shakespeare said: "Slimani trained yesterday [Thursday]. If there is no adverse reaction, I think he may be ready to train with the group today. We’ll assess him after training."

Craig Shakespeare has revealed that Wes Morgan is "touch and go" to be fit for Leicester City’s trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Morgan's return would be a nice boost to Leicester City's backline, although Yohan Benalouane has proved a reliable stand-in alongside Robert Huth in central defense the last six Premier League matches. The City skipper missed the trip to Arsenal on Wednesday but trained this week and will be assessed on Saturday morning ahead of the clash at The Hawthorns. "He’ll be touch and go," Shakespeare told the media on Friday morning. "He has trained outside but not fully with the squad yet. I’m hoping, if he trains today, he’ll be in with a late shout tomorrow. I won’t put him at risk but, knowing his character, he’ll want to play when he’s 100 per cent." If Morgan is fit chances are he'll start, but an omission would see Benalouane continue in the starting XI.

Jon Walters has not trained since missing out against Swansea last weekend and is a doubt to participate against West Ham at the Britannia on Saturday.

Mark Hughes will likely try to continue to get Saido Berahino back to the form that saw him rise to stardom at West Brom. He also doesn't have a great deal of choice with Jon Walters, the only other reliable "small" forward option, looking like he won't make it back from a knee complaint in time for Saturday's match against West Ham. If Walters does make the squad the fact that he hasn't trained this week probably means that he won't do more than make a reserve appearance.

Jack Butland returned last weekend against Swansea and looks to be the starter for the remainder of the season as he returns from his long-term ankle injury.

It wasn't the greatest of returns as the Potters dropped the decision to struggling Swansea City but, in the long run, Mark Hughes will be happy to have his first choice goalkeeper back to full health. With safety assured this season, it is nice for Hughes to have the luxury of giving Butland a run of matches heading into the summer. Butland will be the starter heading in to next season with Lee Grant an excellent option off the bench.

Matt Phillips had barely returned from his last bout with hamstring issues when he went down on Tuesday with a recurrence that will keep him out for Week 35 and likely Week 36 as well.

It has been a frustrating second half of the season for Phillips due to nagging hamstring issues. What was initially ruled a minor hamstring issue in early March saw Phillips miss over a month of action. After a couple weeks back in the squad Phillips is right back where he was spending time with the trainers trying to get healthy again. James Morrison is Phillips' likely replacement with James McClean also a possibility if Tony Pulis is looking for more width and speed than Morrison brings.

Hal Robson-Kanu, a starter recently due to Salomon Rondon's poor form, will miss Week 34 after injuring his hamstring early this week in training.

It was a week for hamstring injuries in the Midlands as West Brom lost both Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu in training on Tuesday, both to hamstring issues. While Robson-Kanu hasn't been prolific since coming in on a free transfer over the summer, he has been starting recently. Salomon Rondon, whose own poor form led to his benching, will return to the starting line-up for Robson-Kanu and will hope he can reclaim his place as the starter heading into the summer with strong work down the stretch.

Salomon Rondon will return to the West Brom starting line-up due to a hamstring injury suffered by his replacement Hal Robson-Kanu.

The question for Rondon is whether he can show Tony Pulis enough while Robson-Kanu is injured to earn another crack at the starting job. To the eye, Rondon looks like the ideal Pulis forward. Big, powerful and aggressive is how Pulis likes his center forwards and Rondon brings all of those traits. What he hasn't brought much of, especially in the second half of the season, is goals. With forward a frequently rumored target for the summer, this may be Rondon's last chance to keep his starting place heading into next season.

Laurent Koscielny is more likely to miss out than play as Arsenal and Spurs face off this Sunday in a crucial North London Derby for both sides.

With Shkodran Mustafi already ruled out for the trip to White Hart Lane the potential absence of Koscielny will make this pretty tough on Arsene Wenger as his side face off against the potent Spurs attack. Assuming that Wenger sticks with three at the back he may have to go with Gabriel, Rob Holding and either Nacho Monreal or Per Mertesacker as the central trio. Not a pretty picture given the form Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christen Eriksen and company have been in down the stretch.

Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was taken off on a stretcher in Thursday's draw with Manchester United.

Bravo didn't have much to occupy him with Manchester United only recording one shot on goal, but the Chilean had to be replaced by Willy Caballero in the second half after sustaining a calf injury while defending a corner kick. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said he expects Bravo to miss the next couple of matches as the Sky Blues fight for a Champions League spot: "I haven't spoken to the doctor but it looks like the calf. We will know more tomorrow. He has an injury and it looks like it could be a few games, but we will have to see."

Swansea City manager Paul Clement said he hopes to have veteran Wayne Roultedge back for the end of the season.

The winger underwent groin surgery to repair a hernia that has affected him over the past month of the season, causing him to miss the last three matches for the club. "Wayne could play again this season, he has had an operation on his hernia. He his resting and will be back shortly. It does not keep you out long and hopefully he is back training in 10 days." Clement also said that defender Angel Rangel is also pushing for a return before the end of the season as he recovers from a broken foot.
