Aaron Cresswell has taken a firm stance in support of Slaven Bilic, amid speculation the manager could be replaced at the end of the season because of the club's worrying run of form.

The pressure is on Slaven Bilic to right the ship at the London Stadium after a disappointing run of three successive defeats. In the wake of the 3-2 home defeat to Leicester City on March 18, which dropped the Hammers to 12th in the table, a report emerged that Bilic could be replaced at the end of the term by Reading manager Jaap Stam. Although West Ham have not won since February 4, Cresswell insists the dressing room is backing Bilic. "If you ask any of the players, they would say the same, we are fully behind him and fully supportive of him," the left-back told Sky Sports News HQ. "Hopefully we can turn it around and take that pressure off everyone."

Liverpool was dealt a heavy blow on Tuesday with the news that midfielder Adam Lallana will miss around four weeks.

The star midfielder sustained a thigh injury in the late stages of England's World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on Sunday, and the injury has become progressively worse over the last few days. Now Lallana is set to miss up to a month and has already been ruled out of the club's next three fixtures over the course of the next 10 days, including the Merseyside derby against Everton this weekend. The former Southampton standout is one of Liverpool's top producers with seven goals and seven assists in the Premier League this season. However, Jordan Henderson could slide right back into the starting lineup if deemed fit following a foot injury.

Chris Smalling is unlikely to feature against West Brom on Saturday after the United centre-back was pictured with his right knee in a brace.

Smalling was released from England duty on Friday due to an unspecified injury and returned to the Aon Training Complex for further tests. There has been no official word from the club, but the latest images suggest Smalling will be sidelined for weeks as opposed to days. The brace in question is typically used to limit flexion and extension of the knee joint and to support the knee from lateral and medial movement, possibly indicating ligament instability. For those of you who prefer the glass half full, Smalling may be using the brace as a precaution until a full and thorough assessment can be carried out, but the early signs do not look promising. In addition, United are expected to provide an update on teammate Phil Jones anytime now, after he sustained a toe injury during England training seven days ago.

Dimitri Seluk, the agent of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has raised more controversy with his recent comments.

Toure is entering the final months of his contract and, after reviving his career at Manchester City over the last few months, Seluk said he is in talks with clubs from Italy and Spain over a free transfer. However, Seluk said if Manchester United came calling he would negotiate despite the two clubs' rivalry: "Why not? Jose Mourinho is a very good coach. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was together with Yaya in Barcelona...We waited until March 15 for what Manchester City will say but until now Manchester City don't say anything. Before March, we didn't negotiate with anybody because Yaya does a lot with Manchester City, so we waited. But we cannot wait until the last minute, until June and have no negotiations with anybody."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp put to rest rumors of unrest surrounding the future of Emre Can at the club.

Reports suggested Can was in a contract standoff with the club after demanding the club double his current wage package of £35,000-a-week with Juventus monitoring the 23-year-old's current contract situation. But with more than a year still left on his current deal, Can is expected to sign a new deal with talks ongoing, according to Klopp. "It actually makes no sense to talk about it, but because I obviously heard there was a story out there… yes, we are in talks, what can I say? They are good, because Emre likes to be here. We really like him as a person and as a player. So there are talks, there is nothing else to say."

Thibaut Courtois will miss Belgium's friendly against Russia on Tuesday due to a minor hip problem but is not expected to miss anytime for Chelsea.

Courtois played the full 90 minutes but sustained a hip injury in the 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw with Greece in Brussels on Saturday. However, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, Courtois is expected to be fit for Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday. Terreur tweeted: "Thibaut Courtois won't play against Russia due to a minor hip problem. Expected to be fit against Crystal Palace, though." In the event Courtois is unable to recover in time for this weekend, Conte will likely hand Asmir Begovic his first league start of the season.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy scored his sixth goal for England to help them to a 2-0 2018 World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening.

Vardy was introduced on the hour mark for Jermain Defoe and needed just six minutes to make mark his, as the Foxes No.9 tucked home a close-range in the 66th minute to wrap up all three points. The goal was Vardy's fourth in his last five matches across all competitions, having scored a brace against Liverpool on February 27 and the winner during Leicester's 3-2 victory over West Ham prior to the international break. Vardy, who has scored eight league goals this term, will look to extend his form when Leicester face Stoke City at home on Saturday.

Chelsea were left on tenterhooks yesterday when Diego Costa was sent for an X-ray after sustaining an ankle injury in training.

Fortunately, the Spanish Football Federation have confirmed that Costa did not suffer a serious injury and he will remain with the squad for the game with France tomorrow, although it remains unclear whether the in-from striker will be involved. Costa scored during Spain's 4-1 win over Israel to help maintain top spot in Group G, on goal difference from Italy, but there will be no point in taking any unnecessary risks for the friendly in Paris. Domestically, Chelsea face Crystal Palace this weekend, and despite the Blues sitting ten-points clear of their nearest rivals, Antonio Conte will be keen to ensure he has a full squad at his disposal. Chelsea have been boosted further by the news that Eden Hazard looks set to be available: "I have had a week of treatment with my club. I think I will be ready for the next match."

Manchester United are facing a potential midfield crisis when they take on West Brom at Old Trafford this weekend.

Marouane Fellaini becomes the latest addition to the United treatment room after he was released from the Belgium squad because of a "minor" toe complaint. The news follows quickly on the heels of Bastian Schweinsteiger who left for pastures new [MLS side Chicago Fire] last week, while Jose Mourinho’s men will definitely be without Ander Herrera due to suspension in game week 30. With Paul Pogba [hamstring] struggling, Wayne Rooney maybe called upon as a makeshift midfielder. The setback caps a miserable seven days for the club who lost Phil Jones and Chris Smalling to injury while Zlatan Ibrahimović is also serving a domestic ban. Fortunately, Jesse Lingard [ankle] and Henrikh Mkhitaryan [hamstring] appear to be over their recent problems with United facing a hectic month of Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League fixtures.
