Swansea center back Chico Flores has completed a move to rejoin former manager Michael Laudrup at Lekhwiya in Qatar.

The departure of Chico, who started 30 league matches last season, leaves the Swans a bit thin at center back. Ashley Williams will start at one of the two spots but the current roster only offers Jordi Amat and Kyle Bartley as obvious replacements to partner Williams. Not a great situation for a relatively new manager to be in coming off of a very disappointing season. Presumably the Swans will be in the market for a starting center back over the next few weeks.

Newcastle United were able to avoid relegation on the final day of the season with a 2-0 win over West Ham United.

It was a nervy atmosphere at St. James' Park as expected, and though the Magpies showed themselves better in the opening half of the match than they had in quite a long time, anxiety continued to grow around the stadium as they went into the locker room at halftime with the game still 0-0. The breakthrough came in the 54th minute, when Jonas Gutierrez sent a cross toward the Hammers' far post and found Moussa Sissoko, who headed it in strongly. The job was not finished though, as a second goal was needed to truly feel safe and it came courtesy of Gutierrez who sent a strike that was helped by a deflection into the net for his first goal in over two years. Newcastle ended February looking like they would only need one more positive result to avoid relegation. Though there is plenty of issues with the club, they can rest easy now that they got the job done in time.

Loic Remy scored twice to give Chelsea one last win in the Premier League this season, this time a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

The Blues finish the season with 87 points and an eight point lead on Manchester City but it could have easily been more if they didn't get complacent in the last couple of weeks. Loic Remy showed he possesses the quality needed at the top level as he's done all season when filling in for the injured Diego Costa. Costa also scored today and the Chelsea striker force goes into next season healthy and in form. The Blues are already the favorites for the title next season and Costa and Remy will be big part of their run.

Gareth McAuley scored a consolation goal as West Brom lost to Arsenal 4-1 at the Emirates on the final day of the season.

It didn't mean much to either side but only West Brom played like it. Arsenal, powered by returning stars Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott, scored four in the first half to end the tie. McAuley scored a consolation goal to keep it from being too embarrassing in the end.

West Ham have announced that they will not renew Sam Allardyce's contract as manager of the club.

Allardyce was given an ultimatum at the beginning of the season to finish 10th or not be given another chance and the owners have kept their word. Allardyce did a respectable job, finishing 12th despite a number of long-term injuries to his top players, but it wasn't enough for management and he will not be in London next season. Allardyce should will be able to find a job in a timely manner.

Marouane Fellaini was shown a straight red card in the 77th minute but neither team scored in the finale.

Hull City needed three points to have a chance to stay up and they only got one Manchester United didn't need anything but they could have done without a suspension heading into next season but that's what they got. Marouane Fellaini saw red and will miss the first three matches of next season unless an appeal changes his fate.

In an otherwise forgettable finish to the season, Steven Gerrard was able to add a final goal to his Liverpool career, but it was only a consolation as the Reds were walloped by Stoke City, 6-1.

Liverpool broke a record today that they will not be bragging about any time soon - for the first time in PL History, they conceded five goals in the opening half. With the result last week against Crystal Palace, the Reds finished the season by shipping nine goals in two. Still, the legend of this generation of Liverpool Football Club managed to score for his city one last time, scoring in the 70th minute. It was a down year for Liverpool, who made up for a lack of Luis Suarez with excellent defending during the bulk of the season, but fans will now be wondering what to expect heading into August after today's result.

Theo Walcott returned to the Arsenal starting eleven with a first half hat trick as Arsenal cruised to a 4-1 home victory.

In a match that meant very little in the grand scheme of things, Arsenal got good news in the form of big production from key reserves. Theo Walcott scored a hat trick and Jack Wilshere added one as both players get sharp after long injury layoffs. The goals will help their confidence if they are called on in the FA Cup Final.

Burnley beat Aston Villa 1-0 in the last match of the season in what is a consolation win for the relegated side.

Burnley have been relegated for a few weeks now and the win is meaningless, but it does confirm Danny Ings has the talent needed in the Premier League. Ings scored the only goal in the match and he will certainly be sought after by bigger clubs this summer. He will have good fantasy value next season if he can land in a good situation in the Premier League. Aston Villa finish 17th on the season and just barely avoid relegation, but they'll take anything at this point as long as they have a healthy Christian Benteke heading into next season.

West Ham United came up empty against a Newcastle United side that were fighting for their lives in the league, finishing the season on a negative note after a 2-0 loss.

While Newcastle are clearly happy today that the season is over, it is West Ham who should be thankful the season isn't any longer. The attack hit a wall down the stretch as they were able to only score two goals over their last six games combined, being kept out again today by a Magpie side that isn't exactly known for keeping clean sheets. It is an area that will need to be addressed in the summer, as they do not have a standout first choice striker between Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia while Stewart Downing experienced a major dropoff in production in the second half of the season. We may see more of the young defender Reece Burke next season, as he made a positive impact in his time down the stretch.

Leicester City defeated QPR 5-1 in the last match of the season.

The Foxes took the lead early and never let go as they scored five goals, one each from Vardy, Albrighton, Ulloa, Cambiasso, and Kramaric. Leicester finish off the season on a hot streak, winning seven of their last nine matches to secure a spot in the Premier League next season. Nigel Pearson will be proud of the effort in the last two months and he's stated there won't be big spending this summer. Look out for Vardy in fantasy drafts next season, as he's shown growth this year and has looked incredible in the past few weeks. QPR, on the other hand, will be relegated as they finish last in the league.
