Sky Sports are reporting that Andre Moritz has agreed a new contract with Crystal Palace.

Moritz was one of the stars in Palace's push for promotion last season and he had been attracting interest from some bigger clubs, so tying the Brazilian midfielder to a longer deal is a great move by Ian Holloway. The report from Sky Sports suggests Palace are set to announce more deals in the coming days, with Peterborough striker Dwight Gayle and West Brom winger Jerome Thomas set to strengthen the Eagles' squad.

Callum Wilson has signed a new deal with AFC Bournemouth that will see the striker committed to the club for the next four years.

Wilson was the primary goal supplier in the Championship two seasons ago, helping guide the Cherries to a top flight promotion with 23 goals across all competitions. He looked set to continue his success in the Premier League, scoring five time in his first six PL starts, but he then ruptured his ACL and missed nearly the rest of the season, returning for Bournemouth's final few games. He came through those final appearances without incident and is poised to make his mark this coming season as Eddie Howe's top striker of choice. The Cherries have plenty of other options at the position, most notably Benik Afobe, along with the likes of Glenn Murray and Lewis Grabban. Wilson should see plenty of starts if he stays fit though, making him a forward worth targeting in this summer's fantasy drafts and a budget third striker in the FPL game.

The move from FC Schalke to Liverpool for Joel Matip is now official, as the center back will fight for a regular spot in Jurgen Klopp's XI.

With Matip's contract at Schalke expiring today, he joins the Reds on a free transfer, signing a four-year deal with the club. With Kolo Toure having been released earlier this summer and Martin Skrtel appearing set to depart the club, Liverpool were in need to sign a center back to go along with incumbent starters Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho. Both Lovren and Sakho have had their ups and downs in the past season, so the door is wide open for Matip to leapfrog one of the two for a regular spot. The German-born Cameroon international is also versatile enough to play in defensive midfield, giving Klopp yet more flexibility with his squad. Only 24 years of age, Matip could become a fantasy commodity should he lock down a spot and Liverpool tighten up defensively. He also has the occasional goal in him, scoring three or four times in his last four seasons at Schalke.

Belgium have been dealt a blow in defense ahead of their quarterfinal match with Wales as Jan Vertonghen has picked up an ankle injury in training and could miss up to eight weeks.

Thomas Vermaelen will miss out against Wales as well, as he serves a suspension, so the left half of the Belgian defensive line that had started the entire tournament to this point will be absent in the quarterfinal. This gives a boost to Wales attacking players like Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in the fantasy game, as Jason Denayer looks to step in at center back to partner Toby Alderweireld and Romelu Lukaku's younger brother, Jordan, will line up at left back. Vertonghen is in danger of being ready for Tottenham's opener this coming season based on his current timetable.

Amid rumors of large offers from champions Leicester City, Troy Deeney has signed an extension at Vicarage Road that likely ends talk of a move.

The Hornets were smart to lock their man down. With the amount of money available on the transfer market this summer and the performance Deeney put in last season his name was going to be in the rumor mill until something like this happened. Leicester City have been linked for the early parts of the summer and clubs like Everton (likely losing Romelu Lukaku) and Southampton (likely parting with Graziano Pelle) would surely have started asking. Now the Hornets can focus on diversifying an attack that struggled mightily over the second half of last season.

Anders Lindegaard and West Brom have parted company after the Baggies and the former Manchester United goalkeeper agreed to terminated his contract.

Lindegaard arrived at the Hawthorns as an emergency back-up last season when Ben Foster was injured and Boaz Myhill the only senior team goalkeeper. He didn't play much as Myhill kept the nets warm for Foster. Lindegaard's prospects got even less attractive once Foster returned in the second half of the season. The move to cancel his contract makes sense for both sides as Lindegaard surely will be interested in going somewhere where he will at least be the first in line to deputize for the starter.

Despite recent rumors that the former Newcastle and Hull City player might choose Leicester City, Hatem Ben Arfa has chosen to remain in Ligue Un and sign with PSG.

Whether Leicester City were ever really that close to signing Hatem Ben Arfa isn't clear, he's more high profile than their usual targets. Perhaps their new-found status as champions has changed things but look for the Foxes to buy an attacking player that few people have heard of and for that player to work out fantastically.

Newcastle have responded to losing Andros Townsend by signing both Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie.

The loss of Matt Ritchie opens up a gap on the right side of the Cherries' attack. Perhaps the vision is that with Callum Wilson, Joshua King and Benik Afobe available at forward that Junior Stanislas and Max Gradel would be the starters in the wide roles. Ritchie was excellent in the Championship two seasons ago but was somewhat disappointing in his first season in the top flight. Getting a significant fee for him and opening up a spot isn't the worst idea for Bournemouth.

Newcastle has confirmed that their move for Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle has been finalized as the former Crystal Palace man has signed a five-year deal with the Magpies.

Newcastle are certainly not slowing down their spending after being relegated. As the transfer window officially opens they have announced the signings of Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle. The new arrivals have been somewhat offset by the departure of Andros Townsend. The dual arrivals could mean that there might be another player from last season's team (Georginio Wijnaldum?) leaving this summer but it could just be a concerted effort to ensure that promotion is earned after this season.

Alexandre Pato, Radamel Falcao and Marco Amelia have all left Chelsea, the club have confirmed.

Chelsea decided against taking up an option to sign Pato from Brazilian club Corinthians on a four-year deal and the striker – who scored just once following his arrival in January – will return to his homeland with only six months remaining on his current contract. Falcao will be given the opportunity to prove himself once again at Monaco following an injury plagued few years in England. The Colombian was restricted to just one Premier League start since arriving last summer from Manchester United, scoring his only goal against Crystal Palace in August 2015. Italian journeyman Amelia leaves having failed to break into the first team. The 34-year-old arrived as back-up to Thibaut Courtois in October but underwent knee surgery soon after which kept him out until the beginning of 2016.

Bacary Sagna has hailed new Manchester City signing Nolito believing his "superior" technical qualities will make him a success in the Premier League.

The £14million arrival from Spanish side Celta Vigo is Pep Guardiola’s second major City signing following the addition of German international Ilkay Gundogan who joined from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal. Nolito spent three seasons at Os Celestes scoring 39 times in 100 La Liga appearances before agreeing to re-join his former manager [he played under Guardiola at Barcelona from 2008-2011, although much of his time was spent with the Catalans’ B side]. Nolito started all four of Spain's matches at Euro 2016, scoring once against Turkey, and his performances caught the eye of new team-mate Sagna: "He's going to bring a lot to the team," he said. "He has some qualities and technique that are superior to other players He has had a very good season and did an excellent Euro with Spain. He signed for a reason and I am very pleased about this."

Newcastle United are expected to announce the signing of Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace while winger Andros Townsend travels in the opposite direction.

Gayle was pictured on Tyneside following talks with United and will sign a five-year deal, reportedly to be worth in the region of £8.5million. The 25-year-old joins following a frustrating spell at Selhurst Park in which he failed to nail down a regular starting spot. Gayle becomes the second addition to the United squad this week joining former Gent goalkeeper Matz Sels. However, there could be yet further deals to be done over the next 24-48 hours as Rafa Benitez begins to shape his Championship squad. Crystal Palace have triggered Andros Townsend’s release clause stealing a march on the likes of Watford and West Ham while AFC Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie has already been lined up as a potential replacement.
