Cardiff has reportedly had both a transfer price and personal terms accepted for the sought-after Tom Ince. Despite that progress, cross-town rivals Swansea are still in the mix for the Blackpool man as well.

Assuming the price is the same and personal terms are either the same or similar between Cardiff and Swansea, this will be an interesting decision for Ince. Presumably he'll have more opportunities for playing time at Cardiff where players like Peter Whittingham are aging and losing effectiveness. At Swansea, he may play a little less but will have a much better chance of staying in the Premier League beyond this season and putting himself in a good position to continue his ascent should he keep progressing.

Angel Di Maria led an effective United attack, grabbing a goal and an assist in his efforts, and Loius van Gaal earns his first competitive win as United manager in a 4-0 thumping of QPR.

It appears van Gaal has found both the right shape and mixture of players to create a dynamic attacking force as the midfield diamond of Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Juan Mata cut through the QPR defense time and again, with Di Maria the architect of most of the attack. His deep free kick goal was a bit flukish, but deserved nonetheless. Herrera and Wayne Rooney complimented each other, each scoring thanks to the other's assist. Falcao made his debut from the bench, but couldn't open his account. It would be difficult to imagine van Gaal making any changes to the front six in the next match at Leicester, but Di Maria should be the first name on the team sheet, week in, week out.

Queens Park Rangers were the first victims of a post-deadline day, beefed up Manchester United side, falling to the Red Devils 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Joey Barton's hamstring injury kept him out of today's squad and afforded Niko Kranjcar a chance to start in central midfield. Kranjcar may have had the best chance to score early in the second half, but David De Gea made a fine save to deny him. Rangers had the look of a team playing like they knew they were outmatched and the result was a fair reflection of their efforts. Redknapp will go back to the drawing board and plan for next week when Stoke City pay a visit to Loftus Road.

Swansea City lose a thriller at Stamford Bridge while defender Jordi Amat faces a spell on the sidelines as injury forces his early withdrawal.

The build-up to Saturday’s game was dominated by one man Diego Costa - hamstring injury - but once the Spanish international had been given the all clear; it was a case of ‘normal service has resumed’ for the Barclays Player of Month who grabbed a quick-fire hat trick. However Garry Monk won’t be too despondent about his side’s performance after their "power & quality" began to take a stranglehold during the second half although the injury to his full-back Jordi Amat will be a concern. The Swansea defender left the ground in a protective knee brace as a precaution and will have a scan to diagnose the full extent of the problem – new signing Frederico Fernandez provides a natural replacement.

Diego Costa scored his first Premier League hat-trick in Chelsea's 4-2 win over Swansea City.

Costa has started this Premier League season in spectacular fashion. He already has seven goals in his first four matches, two more than Fernando Torres scored in 28 matches last season. Costa and teammate Cesc Fabregas have formed a lethal connection that has put Chelsea three points clear at the top of the table. Costa is worth owning in all fantasy formats and should be starting in your lineup every single week.

West Brom have become early relegation candidates after struggling once again and losing 2-0 to Everton.

Some analysts were hyping up West Brom's defense before the season started but that hasn't been the case so far as they've lacked quality. They only have two points after four matches and are tied for last place in the Premier League. Their poor display at home today was another sign that they might be fighting the relegation battle this season. We advice against using any WBA players in fantasy at the moment.

Aston Villa have stunned Liverpool in the middle of Anfield by winning 1-0.

Villa have started the season in spectacular fashion, coming out with ten points out of their first four matches for the first time since 1998. Villa took the lead through a scrappy Gabby Agbonlahor goal and dominated the rest of the match, looking like the better team. They will finish the gameweek in second place after Chelsea, just two points behind. The talk about Aston Villa fighting the relegation battle has to stop now.

As our expert Nik Argiropoulos predicted in his player picks, Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal of the season this week.

Lukaku struck a beautiful curler right inside the post when the ball bounced to him on the end of the area. The Everton man has looked good this season despite not scoring in his first three matches and will hope to continue this form as the season progresses. Everton face Crystal Palace next and Lukaku will once again be a solid fantasy choice. Make sure to check out our Player Picks again next week for more valuable advice.

Graziano Pelle dominated Newcastle United by scoring two goals and grabbing an assist.

Pelle has been great for fantasy managers in the last two weeks as he has three goals and an assist in that timeframe. The Southampton striker is a great goalscorer who is in the middle of great stretch of match ups. He gets to face Swansea and QPR next and we recommend you add him to your fantasy squad for the upcoming fixtures. Southampton are rolling at the moment and both Pelle and Dusan Tadic are worth owning.

Julian Speroni was the hero in Crystal Palace's 1-1 draw against Burnley by saving a penalty in the 85th minute.

Both teams had chances in this match but poor finishing led to a 0-0 draw. Mile Jedinak brought down Burnley's Lucas Jutkiewicz late in the match and gave Burnley a chance to steal three points from Selhurst Park. Julian Speroni wasn't having any of it though, as he stretched to his right and got his hand on the ball. The clean sheet and penalty save have Speroni as a frontrunner for this week's goalkeeper spot in our Best XI.

Leonardo Ulloa scored his third Premier League goal of the season to give Leicester City their first win of the campaign.

This one was a close match as Stoke were the better team in the first half but couldn't capitalize on their chances. Peter Crouch missed a few chances to put his team on top and he'll want to get have those back. At halftime, Leicester introduced new signing Esteban Cambiasso, who immediately showed his class and transformed the Foxes' play. The transformation led to a goal by striker Leonardo Ulloa, who is turning into a fantastic buy for Leicester. The Foxes are good enough to stay up in the Premier League.

Tottenham dominated Sunderland but were unfortunate to concede a Harry Kane own goal late in the match and come out with only one point.

According to Michael Caley's Twitter account, Spurs had 1.7 expected goals to Sunderland's 0.3. Expected goals is an advanced metric which measures the number of goals a team is expected to score based on quality and quantity of shots and chances. Tottenham were great in midfield with Moussa Dembele helping them control the match. Spurs' two goals both came from midfield as Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen got on the score sheet. They are lacking finishing from the striker position and will have to wonder if maybe Roberto Soldado can help them once he returns from injury.
