Swansea - having already added youth in the form of Jonjo Shelvey, Jordi Amat and Alejandro Pozuelo - continue to shop for youth as they track Belgian Nacer Chadli.

The Belgian winger would make a nice addition to the crop of young players that Swansea have brought in already. He has been productive in the Eredivisie with 21 goals in 80 matches for FC Twente and has been capped 14 times by Belgium. The Swans still need a significant signing at forward but if Chadli arrives their secondary work for the summer will be very solid indeed with the caveat that most of it likely won't pay off until 2014-15 at the earliest. Current starters like Nathan Dyer don't have to start worrying...yet.

West Ham are hopeful that Michail Antonio will only miss one match after it was revealed the groin injury he suffered against Tottenham at the weekend was not as bad as initially feared.

Manager Slaven Bilic confirmed after the 3-2 derby defeat by Spurs that Antonio was withdraw in the 28th minute due to a groin injury and, according to West Ham co-chairmen David Sullivan, will hopefully only miss out on this weekend's home match against Swansea City. Considering the injury is not though to be too severe Antonio, who had just returned from an extended spell out follow a hamstring operation, could be fit after the October international break. The England international's absence this weekend will likely result in a recall for Andy Carroll. Chicharito and Andre Ayew could operate on the flanks if Bilic sticks with a 3-4-3, while Marko Arnautovic could retain his place if they revert to the 3-1-4-2 used in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town. Meanwhile, Manuel Lanzini (knee) has returned to training and could make the bench for Saturday's match.

Gareth Barry became the Premier League's all-time appearance leader after starting Monday's loss to Arsenal.

In the 2-0 loss, the West Brom midfielder made his 633rd appearance in the top-flight, breaking Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs' record, which was also his 601st start. The Premier League journeyman couldn't do much to help his new club over the top though, with their only chance coming on Barry's pass over the top to Jay Rodriguez that was impeded by Shkodran Mustafi and should have been a penalty. Regardless, Barry said he was just happy to get past the record: "It will be nice to put this milestone to bed. I've not really given it too much thought about who is behind me. There is so much concentration on what you are doing."

Brighton may have a blossoming Premier League star on its hand, but first the club needs to get past an FA charge.

Brighton striker Tomer Hemed scored the club's lone goal in a 1-0 win against Newcastle on Sunday, but has since been charged by the FA with violent conduct for a stamp on DeAndre Yedlin, which could see him ruled out for the next three matches. However, manager Christ Hughton confirmed the club will contest the charge: "I have seen it, and my absolute impression was that there was no intention, particularly knowing the player. My first impression was that there was absolutely no intent. I was unaware of it at the time, and I have just been shown it."

Watford are sweating on the fitness of Nathaniel Chalobah after he was sent for a second scan to determine the extent of a training ground knee injury.

The former England U21 international has enjoyed an excellent start to his career at Vicarage Road following his move from Chelsea. However, it now appears that Chalobah is set for a period on the sidelines after he posted a picture of himself on Instagram with his left knee in a brace. The specifics of the injury are not clear at this stage, but the 22-year-old is believed to have pulled up immediately in training after striking the ball. Typically, this kind of knee support is used to treat ligament and/or cartilage damage which would suggest significant time out, although Watford supporters will be hoping it’s being used more as a precaution. His replacement on Saturday - Etienne Capoue - was handed his first Premier League start of the season in the 2-1 win over Swansea, the Hornets third consecutive away victory.

Christian Eriksen will not feature for Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday but the in-form playmaker should be back for the trip to Huddersfield this weekend.

Eriksen was not part of the travelling squad yesterday and the club confirmed through their official social media channels that the Dane had been taken ill on Monday, although the sickness is not believed to be serious. Tottenham will be hoping to build upon their excellent start to the competition [a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund] against the group minnows despite missing several members of the first-team. Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose [both knee] remain sidelined while Erik Lamela is not expected to return until October/November. Mousa Dembele is out due to an ongoing foot problem and Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli are both suspended. Serge Aurier could start in Cyprus as he will serve a domestic ban in game week seven with Kieran Trippier set to miss out.

Alexandre Lacazette scored on either half of the break as Arsenal beat West Brom and perpetual nemesis Tony Pulis 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to close out Week 6 in the Premier League.

Arsenal's first goal had a hint of luck about it as Alexis Sanchez's free kick from outside the box rebounded off the bar and right to Alexandre Lacazette to power home with his head. The second goal of the match, also from the France international, came after Aaron Ramsey won a penalty in the second half. Lacazette's take was assured and gave the Gunners some breathing room as they closed out the match.

Mesut Ozil was again absent from Arsene Wenger's starting eleven despite the manager affirming his availability in his pre-match press conference.

Arsenal found success drawing at Stamford Bridge with Mesut Ozil out of the line-up and followed that up with a win against West Brom today with the World Cup winner again left watching. Ozil did come on late but it is worth noting that with Danny Welbeck out injured Arsene Wenger had the perfect opportunity to reinsert the German into the line-up if he was still part of Wenger's preferred eleven. With a Europa Cup match coming on Thursday before what should be a relatively easy match against Bournemouth at the weekend it will be interesting to see what part Ozil plays going forward.

Jay Rodriguez will have wanted a first half penalty called against Shkodran Mustafi but it wasn't to be as Arsenal moved past it and beat West Brom 2-0 at the Emirates.

Rodriguez played a good match and it was one that could have been much better had he stayed down and forced the hand of the referee when he was tackled hard in the box by Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi. Rather than staying down, Rodriguez recovered and kept on with his attacking move. It was the right move to make from a sporting point of view but probably not the most pragmatic thing to do. Let off the hook for a difficult call, the official let play continue and Arsenal came through unscathed. The Gunners went on to score two Alexandre Lacazette goals while all Albion could do was reply with a couple of Rodriguez shots on target.

Tomer Hemed scored in the 51st minute to lift Brighton over Newcastle United on Saturday as they earned their second straight home win.

Newcastle edged out Brighton to last season's Championship title on the final day, but the Seagulls took their revenge on their first Premier League clash. The hosts took the lead when Pascal Gross's free-kick was headed back across goal by defender Dale Stephens to Hemed, who blast a hooked volley in from six yards out. Solly March nearly doubled the advantage on 56 minutes but Newcastle goalkeeper was on hand to clear the midfielder's attempt off the goal-line. Chris Hughton's side would hold on to take all three points thanks to a handful of stops by goalkeeper Mat Ryan, including a first-half denial on Mikel Merino's volley. The result lifted the Seagull to 13th in the table, while Newcastle dropped to ninth.

Everton were forced into a defensive reshuffle and a slight change in formation after Phil Jagielka and Michael Keane were ruled out of the clash with Swansea City.

There was no report from Ronald Koeman prior to Saturdays game but news quickly spread that Keane would miss out in game week six after he was spotted arriving at Goodison Park on crutches. Fortunately, his injury is not thought to be too serious although the centre-back will miss the Europa League tie versus Apollon Limassol: "Maybe you remember the tackle of last Wednesday? His foot was a little bit open," revealed Koeman. "The doctor said he will maybe reach next Sunday but he will be doubtful for Thursday. I think he cannot start [in Europe] but maybe yes [against Burnley]." Jagielka on the other hand will not be risked ahead of the international break: "He has a slight hamstring problem and will be one week to 10 days out."

Philippe Coutinho returned to the Liverpool starting line-up for a Premier League match for the first time this season and headlined a thrilling 3-2 win over Leicester City.

Coming off a mid-week loss to the same Foxes, Liverpool were looking for their summer want-away man to rebound with a big match. The Brazilian delivered with an assist on Mohamed Salah's opener and then a beautiful free kick from distance to make it 2-0. The Reds struggled to keep the lead conceding a goal to Shinji Okazaki before Jordan Henderson netted a 3rd for Jurgen Klopp's men. It was a nervous close as Jamie Vardy replied almost immediately and then had a penalty attempt to tie the score only to see Simon Mignolet save it to preserve the win. Breathless stuff at the King Power Stadium.
