Ex-West Ham United striker Carlton Cole is understood to have held talks with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park today.

Cole was released by the Hammers at the end of June but the 29-year-old can still offer something in the Premier League and he would be a decent free transfer for any of the promoted clubs. His goalscoring record for West Ham (59 in 237 games) wasn't prolific, but he has top flight experience and on his day he can be a real handful for defenders. Cole's potential arrival would be Ian Holloway’s third signing this summer following the arrivals of Dwight Gayle and Stephen Dobbie.

Chelsea were stunned by League One Bradford City at Stamford Bridge as the allowed the Bantams to come from two goals down to win 4-2 in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup

No Premier League team has taken points from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this season but League One club Bradford City responded to Gary Cahill and Ramires goals in the first half by scoring four unanswered to win at the Bridge. Chelsea Manager said it would be a "disgrace" if his side were to exit the competition early to lower division opposition and disgraced they were. Jon Stead, former Chelsea trainee Filipe Morais, Andy Halliday, and Mark Yeates scored for the Bantams. The magic of the FA Cup lives.

Middlesbrough produce shock as they beat Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Patrick Bamford’s goal in the early stages of the second half put Boro ahead and substitute Kike doubled the lead in stoppage time to take the Championship side into the last 16. Although there were opportunities for Willy Caballero and Dedryck Boyata, City boss Manuel Pellegrini named a strong side that included the likes of Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero. Pellegrini turned to Fernandinho and Frank Lampard in an attempt to salvage something, but this time the woodwork came to Boro’s rescue instead. City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton have all been eliminated from the FA Cup.

Villarreal have reached agreement with Arsenal for the sale of center-back Gabriel Paulista, with the Gunners forward Joel Campbell heading to the Spanish club on loan for the rest of the season.

The deal was agreed on Saturday evening, shortly before Villarreal's Primera Division match against Levante kicked off at El Madrigal. It comes at a good time for Campbell who has made just four appearances for the club this season, totaling 41 minutes in all.

West Ham’s Ravel Morrison has agreed to join Italian side Lazio on a free transfer at the end of the Premier League season.

Morrison’s deal expires in the summer and he has agreed to a contract with the Serie A side, although he has not formally signed yet. He was signed by the Hammers on a three-and-a-half year deal in January 2012, but his career has stalled a little since his arrival and he has been sent to three different clubs on loan. Several teams in Europe have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Morrison during the current transfer window, but it looks like he has opted to let his contract expire before departing Upton Park.

Shane Long left Southampton's FA Cup match earlier today with suspected broken ribs.

This is another big blow for a Southampton team already thin at the forward position. If Long has indeed broken his ribs, you can expect to see a lot more of James Ward-Prowse and Eljero Elia in the coming weeks, both of them proving to be fantastic fantasy options when on the pitch. Check back later for a timeline on Long's absense.

Andre Schurrle missed Chelsea's FA Cup match with a back problem.

Jose Mourinho confirmed that Schurrle felt a little pain in his back today and that's the reason he missed out on the FA Cup match. Schurrle hasn't been able to crack Chelsea's rotation this season and his fantasy value is practically zero at the moment. There are rumors sending him back to Germany during the January transfer window, so you shouldn't hurry to add him in any fantasy league right now. If he somehow ends up on a different Premier League team, he should be added in fantasy immediately.

Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford scored early in the second half from a scramble in front of net and Kike settled it late as Middlesbrough stunned Manchester City at the Etihad.

City are truly struggling as they went from dropping points in consecutive Premier League matches to losing to Championship Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday. The loss is disappointing but not nearly as disappointing as how poorly City played. One potential goal from a deflected Kolarov shot hit the post late and the referee missed a hand ball in the box from a Boro defender but beyond those two incidents there wasn't much from City who started a number of first team players including Sergio Aguero and David Silva.

20th place Leicester City shocked Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup as Jeffrey Schlupp scored late in stoppage time to come from behind to beat Spurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

The fourth round of the FA Cup looked like it was going to script at halftime of most of the matches. Chelsea and Spurs were winning and City was tied nil-nil with only Southampton trailing in a wild one at St. Mary's. My how things changed. Chelsea conceded four straight to lose at home, City conceded two to lose at home and Spurs, still ahead from Andros Townsend's early goal after 82 minutes, conceded first to Leonardo Ulloa (83rd) and then Jeffrey Schlupp in the second minute of stoppage time to complete a wild day of home upsets for the big boys of the Premier League. The win is a huge boost for the Foxes who will be looking for momentum to drag themselves out of the relegation zone over the second half of the season.

Victor Anichebe scored the first two goals of the match and the Baggies held on to win 2-1 over local rivals Birmingham City in the fourth round of the FA Cup

Tony Pulis continues to prove that he is a magic man as West Brom continued their unbeaten run of four matches since Pulis assumed control of the Midlands club. Anichebe was exceptional with two goals and the Baggies held on as Birmingham City tried to conjure some FA Cup mystique but it was not to be as West Brom advanced in what is now a weak field with Chelsea, Manchester City, Southampton and Spurs all going out in Round Four with Arsenal still to play and Manchester United forced into a replay against Cambridge United.

Crystal Palace's Emirates strike force combined for three goals as they came back from 2-1 down to beat third place Southampton in the FA Cup.

First it was former Arsenal forward Marouane Chamakh drawing Crystal Palace even at 1-1. Southampton regained the lead via a Scott Danny own goal for a 2-1 lead after 16 minutes. Five minutes later it was Arsenal loanee Yaya Sanogo who scored to equalize at two. Incredibly, Chamakh ended the scoring in the 39th minute with his second of the game. A great result for Alan Pardew as his winning streak continued since his appointment as Palace manager, it was his second 3-2 comeback win on the road in as many weekends.

Manchester United fielded an all-star line-up but still failed to score in their FA Cup match-up with Cambridge United on Friday.

Radamel Falcao and friends failed to score a goal or even regularly trouble the Cambridge United net. They certainly dominated possession but they couldn't break through and only forced a couple of strong saves. In fact, Cambridge United could probably be judged to have had the best chance on the evening. The nil-nil draw gives Cambridge United a return leg at Old Trafford in early February.
