Blackburn Rovers and Sweden left-back Martin Olsson is having a medical with Norwich City in advance of a move to the Canaries.

Olsson would bring depth to Norwich's left flank, where he can deputize for the newly permanently signed Javier Garrido as well as playing a more advanced role.

West Bromwich Albion have signed defender James Chester for fee believed to be in the region of $13 million from Championship side Hull City.

Chester becomes the second major Baggies’ signing this summer and the second James having already picked up winger - McClean – from Wigan Athletic. Chester was a standout performer for the Tigers’ last season during a miserable PL campaign which saw Hull relegated to the second tier of English football and with only one year remaining on his contract – plus a desire to return to the top flight – the defender attracted interest from a number of clubs. Chester signs a 4 year deal and is worth some serious fantasy consideration given how his manager – Tony Pulis - was once described as the "best defensive coach in the country."

Jack Grealish will play 45 minutes for Aston Villa's under-21s at Tamworth this evening.

Grealish is speeding up his recovery from a hamstring injury and it's good to hear that he'll feature in a match tonight. The youngster is hopeful to be ready for the start of the season but it may take him until week two or three to get up to full match fitness. Grealish is expected to contribute to Aston Villa's first team this season and he could prove to be a good fantasy option once he returns to full fitness.

Gabby Agbonlahor is questionable for week one after picking up a minor knock during last night's match against Wolverhampton.

Agbonlahor is currently being assessed after picking up the knock last night. He is only a fantasy option during the very last rounds of fantasy drafts so the injury shouldn't be a huge bummer to fantasy owners. Expect to know more about his injury in the next few days but flat out ignore him in fantasy drafts for now.

Christian Atsu picked up a back injruy in Bournemouth's 3-0 win over Yeovil last night.

Atsu was withdrawn after 30 minutes with a back problem. The Chelsea loanee will be assessed over the next few days as the club tries to find out the severity of the injury. It's hard to guess how long Atsu will miss with the injury, so check back next week for more info. We'll consider him questionable for week one.

Winston Reid will miss West Ham's Europa League match against Astra.

Reid is managing a minor injury and won't be risked against Astra. It's worth noting the defender missed a number of matches last season due to muscle injuries and it's a growing concern that he's once again dealing with an injury. Reid is expected to return to training next week so we'll consider him probable for week one, but check back next week when we know more.

Diego Costa picked up a hamstring injury in Chelsea's friendly against Barcelona last night.

Mourinho said today that "Diego felt a little thing in his hamstring" but didn't seem worried. The Chelsea manager believes it's "just a feeling" but they'll have to wait for a scan to reveal the severity of the injury. Diego Costa is immediately questionable for week one after missing multiple matches with hamstring injuries last season. Costa has dealt with muscle problems for two years in a row now and this is very concerning for fantasy owners. Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao's fantasy value goes up if Costa misses any time.

Pedro Obiang will miss West Ham's match against Astra due to a minor injury.

Obiang won't feature in the Europe League this week as he is still getting back to match fitness after a small injury. He is expected to be back in training next week and should be ready to feature in week one, at least for 30 minutes off the bench. It's unsure if Obiang will have a starting role for the Hammers, so we won't recommend drafting him in fantasy just yet.

Gary Cahill may have a broken nose after getting hit in the head by Barcelona's goalkeeper yesterday.

Jose Mourinho confirmed that Gary Cahill may have a broken nose but mentioned that he should be good to go for Sunday's match regardless of the results. If it is broken, Cahill will get a mask tomorrow to be ready for the match against Arsenal. He is very probable for the week one match against Swansea.

Norwich boss Alex Neil is stepping up his search for a striker, making an approach for Italian club Cesena’s Gregoire Defrel…

Following the successful signing of Robbie Brady – YES! It’s done! Possibly the most drawn-out negotiations in the history of professional football, has ended in a £7m fee and three-year deal for the former Hull winger. Norwich are now on the lookout for a striker, with Frenchman Gregoire Defrel taking the eye. The 24-year-old hitman was score nine goals in Serie A last season despite his team Cesena going down. So far Bologna, Palermo and Sassuolo (no, me neither) has placed bids – thought to be around £5m – but according to reports in Italy, Norwich now head the queue. Southampton and Everton are keeping tabs on the situation but Norwich’s need is arguably greater, with PL flops Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Gary Hooper and the untried Lewis Grabban their only alternative to Cameron Jerome.

Everton are reported to be on the verge of signing center-back Aleksandar Dragovic from Dynamo Kiev. But is he a replacement for Sylvain Distin or John Stones…?

Signals coming out of Everton suggest they are close to signing a much needed center-back, but the mood is far from celebratory. Reports say the Toffees have moved ahead of Napoli in the race for Dynamo Kiev’s Austrian international Aleksandar Dragovic. The 29-year-old is being touted as a replacement for the departed Sylvain Distin, but many will be thinking that the deal is merely paving the way for John Stones to join Chelsea. Dragovic will cost around £9 million, which will leave plenty of change from the £30-odd million tag placed on Stones. But losing their prized asset on the eve of the season will be a huge blow to morale. With Romelu Lukaku possibly out for the big kick-off with a hamstring injury and a ‘disillusioned’ James McCarthy ready to open negotiations with Tottenham, it has not been a great for boss Roberto Martinez.

Crystal Palace are set to be disappointed in their pursuit of center-back Ashley Williams, according to Swansea manager Garry Monk…

Most things have gone right for Palace this summer. The signings of Yohan Cabaye and Patrick Bamford have excited the fans. The acquisition of young goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and the new contract accepted by Scott Dann provide stability. And theMost things have gone right for Palace this summer. The signings of Yohan Cabaye and Patrick Bamford have excited the fans. The acquisition of young goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and the new contract accepted by Scott Dann provide stability. And the early season form of fit-again Jordan Mutch has been a bonus. Alan Pardew was looking to spend up to £10 million on securing the services of Swansea captain Ashley Williams, but according to his manager Garry Monk should accept defeat. Telling TalkSPORT, ‘Ash will be here, he’ll be with Swansea’. Fairly clear cut.
