The Santi Cazorla rumors were flying quickly as he was rumored to be going to Atletico Madrid in the morning and then not by the end of the day.

It is hard to imagine that Arsenal have any interest in selling the Spanish attacking midfielder. The only scenario that makes much sense here is if Cesc Fabregas were interested in leaving Barcelona and rather than going to Manchester United as rumored were to make a return to Arsenal. This isn't to imply that this scenario is a likely one but it, or something like it, would be the only way Arsenal would be interested in selling such a productive player.

Jesse Lingard's ascendancy may have been somewhat accidental this season but he has taken the opportunity and continues to produce results.

The Manchester United midfielder has now scored in consecutive matches and has been part of what has at least been a mini-revival of United's attacking play featuring Lingard and Martial playing wide, Juan Mata playing centrally behind Wayne Rooney. Rooney's revival has been well documented but it has been the speed and skill of Martial and Lingard and the creativity of Mata that have created opportunity for Rooney and put some sting in the Red Devil attack. Lingard won't keep scoring a goal a match but continue to look for contributions from him.

Jesse Lingard fired in an excellent shot falling away from the goal to give Manchester United the lead but it was David De Gea who came to the rescue to ensure that the Red Devils left Stamford Bridge with at least one point.

David De Gea couldn't keep Diego Costa out after the Brazilian/Spaniard was put in on goal beautifully in stoppage time. It was hardly the Spanish goalkeeper's fault but it was the only thing that could possibly be held against him in what was an excellent display. His most notable save was from a Branislav Ivanovic drive that looked bound for the top corner. He also did well to save from a second half Costa shot that was aimed for the near post top corner. United owe the one point they did pick up at Stamford Bridge to the continued excellence of their number one.

The "good" Diego Costa, the incredibly skilled one, was on display against Manchester United as Chelsea came back from a goal down in stoppage time to draw 1-1 against Louis Van Gaal's Manchester United.

Diego Costa can impress and frustrate neutrals in equal measure between his great skill and his agitating style that often crosses the line into dirty play. It was the Spain international's positive qualities that shone through at Stamford Bridge as he took a beautiful through ball and rounded David De Gea for the tying goal in stoppage time. If Costa played like this every week without the yellow cards and histrionics then he'd clearly be among the best at his position in the Premier League. As it stands, he's improved his play immeasurably since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho and Chelsea's fortunes have turned around accordingly.

Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored 88 seconds apart to account for the only two scores of the day as Arsenal secured a tidy 0-2 against AFC Bournemouth.

There was no Fraser Forster today to spoil Arsenal's attacking clout. In the 23rd minute, Olivier Giroud headed an Aaron Ramsey cross into the path of Mesut Ozil and the German midfield struck the back of the net. 88 seconds later, Ramsey was key in the second goal, feeding "the Ox" with a pass and Oxlade-Chamberlain fired low and in off the far post. The Gunners threatened more in the first half but their possession and chances began to dry up in the second frame. It made no difference, as the Cherries were kept mostly in check by Petr Cech and some shots off target. The win sees the Gunners jump above Manchester City in the table and will take on the Cinderella Foxes at The Emirates next weekend.

AFC Bournemouth conceded two goals in quick concession and could not get back in the match as Arsenal kept a tidy defense and defeated the Cherries, 0-2.

The Cherries had come into the day in good form, bagging seven points from their previous three matches, all of them in which Benik Afobe scored. Afobe did not carry much threat on the day, leaving what chances they had to the midfield. Harry Arter came closest with a shot in the 27 minute, but Petr Cech did well to extend and push the effort over the bar. Matt Ritchie had a frustrating time of it. He had three decent looks but all the shot he took sailed high over the target. Meanwhile, the defense got burned twice in less than 90 seconds to give the Gunners a comfortable advantage for most of the match. Bournemouth will look to get back to securing points with another match at home next week against a sputtering Stoke City side.

Southampton pulled together in remarkable fashion to pull out a 1-0 win against West Ham while playing the final 36 minutes of the match a man down.

Victor Wanyama was sent off with a straight red card in the 54th minute for a mindless challenge from behind on Dimtri Payet after losing possession in midfield. The Kenyan was given his marching orders for the third time this season, but Southampton tightened up at the back in its 3-5-2 formation to hold on for the win, which brings the club into seventh in the table. Maya Yoshida contributed the winner in the ninth minute after Wanyama poked a pass toward the center of the box in the ninth minute. Meanwhile, Southampton has now recorded five straight Premier League clean sheets since Fraser Forster's return

Everton dominated from beginning to end as they heaped more misery on slumping Stoke City.

Lukaku scored his goal from the penalty spot and had another attempt deflected onto the crossbar and out by Jack Butland. Despite Butland's attempted heroics the Toffees also got goals from Seamus Coleman and Aaron Lennon as they marched to a 3-0 win.

Gianelli Imbula may be a promising talent but he wasn't nearly enough to reverse Stoke City's recent fortunes.

With a raft of central defenders injured it was always going to be a big ask for the Potters to hold high-flying Everton. That defensive weakness was apparent early as Mark Hughes' side conceded three first half goals. The worrying aspect to Stoke Vity's slump I'd that their previously strong attack has been neutered at the same time the defense has fallen prey to injuries.

Leicester City made the biggest statement for their case to be title-winners this season, defeating Manchester City at The Etihad, 0-3, with two goals from Robert Huth.

Every week, people wonder if the Foxes can maintain their Cinderella story season, and every week they only seem to get stronger. They went ahead quickly, when Huth turned in from close range, coming from a Riyad Mahrez free kick in the 3rd minute. It was three minutes into the second half when Mahrez broke down a shoddy defensive effort by the Citizens to work his way into the area and fire home his 14th league goal. Huth then put the game to bed on the hour mark, heading in from a Christian Fuchs corner. The Foxes got a bit too comfortable late on and would concede, but overall, they look as sharp as they have all season. They are now six points clear of Manchester City for the top spot.

Manchester City had a chance to jump above Leicester City for top spot in the table with a home win today, but they were beaten handily by the Foxes, 1-3

There is no stopping Leicester it seems as City witnessed on a wet afternoon in Manchester. Statistically, City looked to be the better side. They had plenty of possession in the final third and had nine corners and a few free kicks from dangerous areas. The Foxes just had a solid defensive performance led by Kasper Schmeichel in goal and Robert Huth, who would score two of Leicester's three goals. The City defense certainly didn't perform like title contenders. As a consolation for fantasy managers and City alike, Sergio Aguero managed to score in the final minutes as the Foxes saw the game out. City's gap with Leicester doubles from three to six points now and may slip behind Tottenham if Spurs win later today.

Tottenham pressured the Watford defense in the final third all afternoon and finally broke through with a Kieran Trippier goal to edge the Hornets, 1-0, raising them to second place in the table.

Spurs dominated the stat sheet when it came to possession, completed passes, corners taken, and just about any other category you can apply, but they were frustrated by not finding an end product for the first hour. Dele Alli, who began the match on the bench, made an immediate impact as a substitute, sending a low cross across the mouth of goal to find Trippier who poked in hist first goal of the season. Trippier was quite the hero on the day - three times he was met with challenges that brought him to ground, but he played through the pain and scored the match winner. The three points move Spurs above Manchester City, the very opponent they will take on next weekend.
