According to WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Temple linebacker Praise Martin-Oguike was suspended indefinitely by the team after his arrest following an alleged incident that took place over Memorial Day weekend.

The sophomore LB was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, forcible rape, sexual assault, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment, stemming from an incident that took place May 26 in a university dorm room. He played in just seven games as a true freshman last season.

Sources have informed ESPN's Brett McMurphy that the left knee injury suffered by Arizona junior linebacker Scooby Wright is not thought to be a season-ending blow.

Wright injured his left knee in the first quarter of Thursday's contest with UTSA. After exiting the affair, he was seen icing his leg and walking with a cane. The results of a Thursday MRI have not been made public, but both Wright's father and HC Rich Rodriguez seemed hopeful that he avoided damage to his ACL and MCL. Rodriguez will update the status of his 6-foot-1, 246-pound star on Monday.

Utah State senior QB Chuckie Keeton completed 16 of 33 attempts for 110 yards and an interception in the school's 12-9 win over Southern Utah.

He only added seven rushing yards. Keeton amassed a 3.33 yards per attempt average, which is dreadful. The quarterback suffered a torn ACL in October of 2013 and has not looked the same since. Something was off in the early portions of last season, and Keeton was held out for the remainder of 2014.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain said the school has packages on offense for junior CB Vernon Hargreaves III.

McElwain would not elaborate but praised Hargreaves' work ethic during practice, saying the star corner is not a prima donna. We already knew VHIII was returning punts this season, but his touches could expand on offense. He is a thrill to watch on the field.

Arizona star junior LB Scooby Wright left Thursday's game against UTSA with a left knee injury.

The linebacker's father said the injury is "not major," and head coach Rich Rodriguez did not believe it involved Wright's ALC or MCL. Wright apparently hobbled off the field during the first quarter, and was later seen with ice on his left knee along with a cane. The linebacker led the FBS in tackles, tackles for loss and forced fumbles in 2014. The Wildcat defense played quite well without him, scoring twice.

Utah senior RB Deontae Booker rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, adding 55 receiving yards, in the Utes' 24-17 win over Michigan.

Michigan kept Booker's rushing totals at bay, as he only averaged just over three yards per carry with a long run of 16 yards. Defensively, Michigan looked quite good. Booker is the focal point of Utah's offensive line, and expect him to see much higher totals when conference play rolls around.

TCU senior QB Trevone Boykin completed 26 of 42 attempts for 246 yards, one touchdown and one interception, adding 92 rushing yards and a touchdown in the school's 23-17 win over Minnesota.

Boykin is not an efficient passer. He was not last season, especially against Minnesota, and that same player showed up Thursday night. Boykin did look more decisive and produced an excellent run resulting in a touchdown. However, Boykin has a long way to go if the goal is to be a composed, stable quarterback. Coaches will hate his mechanics at times, but others have compensated for those deficiencies with skill. TCU faces Stephen F. Austin next.

Baylor senior DE Shawn Oakman has been suspended for the season opener against SMU on Friday, according to Jason King.

King adds the length of the current suspension is for one game for a violation of team rules. The edge rusher did travel with Baylor to Dallas to face SMU. Oakman is one of the higher profile players in all of college football, but off-field issues did lead him to Baylor via Penn State. More information should be available after the game. Sophomores Brian Nance or K.J Smith will likely start in his place.

Nebraska suspended six players -- linebacker Michael Rose Ivey, defensive back Jonathan Rose, offensive lineman Robby Painter, tight end Cethan Carter and defensive end Joe Keels -- for the season opener against BYU.

The reason cited for each one was a violation of team rules. Rose-Ivey is the only starter in the group. It seems that all of them will return for Week 2 against South Alabama.

Ohio State HC Urban Meyer said he will inform his QBs on Saturday of which one will start versus Virginia Tech on Monday.

That means we will likely find out who will start on Saturday as well. Meyer went on to say that both quarterbacks might not play against Virginia Tech (Cardale Jones' latest medical scare could be a reason), but that both will play this season. All signs point to J.T. Barrett starting versus the Hokies.

Ohio State QB Cardale Jones is "doing fine" on Thursday after he was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night for a severe migraine, according to beat writer Bill Rabinowitz.

Who knows what the prognosis is for Cardale moving forward, or even this is a recurring condition like it was for Percy Harvin. If cleared, expect to see Jones play against Virginia Tech, whether he is named the starter or not. That game kicks off Monday night.

FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher pointed out Everett Golson's big play ability when asked about his decision to name the Notre Dame transfer the school's starting QB.

"He can throw the ball down the field," Fisher said. "He can create big plays with his legs when he has to, but the thing I’ve very pleased with is (he makes) great decisions when he’s in the pocket, and doing the things he has to do with his versatility and athleticism." This is a facet of Golson's game that Josh Norris has pointed to. During coaching clinics, Fisher emphasized the importance of big plays and how they can be high percentage snaps if the quarterback respects and utilizes his checkdown. We don't think Sean Maguire offers these skills.
