Duke senior QB Sean Renfree completed 37-of-49 for 358 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions Thursday against Cincinnati.

Renfree looked great for most of the game, but his two interceptions were killers, and the last one sealed Duke's fate in the losing column. With a chance of being drafted, Renfree will need to put together a solid week of practice during East-West Shrine Game. We do like his high release point and touch on downfield throws.

FSU HC Jimbo Fisher reiterated his stance against college QBs seeking personal coaching from position "gurus."

"We've got good quarterback coaches," Fisher said. "My guys aren't going out there. I'll coach them. When they go to pro ball, they can do whatever they want. We'll coach our guys. I don't think it benefits you." Fisher is not alone in this opinion, as Auburn's Gus Malzahn shares the same stance. Our biggest issue with this is that college coaches have a limited number of hours they are allowed to spend with players during the offseason, so restricting their outside coaching might be limiting quarterbacks' practice reps. Fisher and Malzahn could be worried that their players will be taught something that goes against the team's mindset.

Ohio State senior QB Braxton Miller has dropped his body fat from 10 to 7 percent, according to Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman.

Despite the drop in body fat, Miller is actually up eight pounds and weighs in at 220. "I feel fast, clean." Nutrition has become a big part of some NFL teams' success, most recently with the Eagles. Many are seemingly already writing off Miller as a quarterback prospect. We are not one of them. He has plenty of areas to improve, however.

Utah junior QB Travis Wilson was cited for possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor at a concert on Friday.

Despite it seeming like Wilson has been at Utah for seven years, the junior is only 20 years old. "We are still in the process of gathering information on the incident," said head coach Kyle Whittingham in a statement. "Once we have all the facts, we will handle the situation internally and determine any disciplinary action that should be taken." Wilson is the odds on favorite to be the school's starting quarterback after he was medically cleared following a head injury.

TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline says NFL scouts see Stanford senior WR Ty Montgomery as a second-round pick.

Pauline disagrees, grading Montgomery as a Rds. 3-4 prospect. "His size and inconsistent hands worry me," the analyst noted. Montgomery tallied 2,208 all-purpose yards last season, the third most in school history, leading the Cardinal with 61 catches for 958 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's a superb receiver, but perhaps a better kick returner, averaging 30.3 yards per opportunity to earn consensus All-American honors as a kick returner in 2013. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is in line for a monster season.

Oregon State junior Isaac Seumalo hasn't been given a definitive timetable for his return from a broken foot, leaving him in jeopardy of missing the season opener.

"I think it’s on pretty good schedule to be ready to play, if not at the very first game, early," Oregon State head coach Mike Riley said. "So we’re going to be very, very careful with that. So that’s why I’m being very careful when I say he’s going to play. But I anticipate him being ready. I would think he might be ready for the first game, but maybe not." The Beavers don't need to rush Seumalo back with games against the Portland State Vikings and Hawaii Warriors in the first two weeks before a Week 3 bye.

Former UCLA redshirt junior OT Torian White was graded as a Rd. 4-5 preseason prospect by TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline.

White was booted from school in the spring after he was found responsible for two instances of sexual misconduct. "The left tackle looked good in 2012 then dominated during a brief tenure last year before his season was halted with a broken ankle," Pauline wrote. "He offers tremendous next level potential but obviously comes with baggage." We haven't yet heard of White's plans for the future.

TFY Insider's Tony Pauline compares UCLA redshirt senior DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa to former New York Jet Shaun Ellis.

Pauline allotted Odighizuwa a preseason Round 3 grade. "When I watched Odighizuwa last summer I was blown away," he wrote. "Much of the talk understandably centered around Anthony Barr yet many stamped Cassius Marsh as the Bruins top defensive line prospect. Odighizuwa sat on the sidelines in 2013 with a hip injury yet scouts rightfully gave him high grades moving towards the 2014 campaign. He reminds me of former Tennessee Volunteer and New York Jet Shaun Ellis in that he plays with an explosive, strong and athletic style." Odighizuwa's draft stock is dependent on his ability to prove he's healthy again.

Stanford junior WR Ty Montgomery (arm and knee) has been labeled questionable for the season opener against USC.

"It will be close for USC," coach David Shaw said. Montgomery missed spring practices after undergoing surgeries on his arm and knee. "Hopefully, by the end of training camp, he’ll be able to do more contact stuff," Shaw added. Montgomery led Stanford with 61 catches for 958 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He's also a dynamo kickoff return man who averaged 30.3 yards per opportunity to earn consensus All-American honors in 2013. Sophomore Francis Owusu would likely step into the starting lineup if Montgomery is forced to miss time.

Oklahoma freshman RB Joe Mixon is being investigated by police for allegedly striking a female student, according to his attorney Kevin Finlay.

The incident apparently occurred early Friday morning. Norman police acknowledged the event but no arrests have been made at this time. The alleged victim has been identified, and she said she had never seen Mixon prior to that day, and the punch broke four bones in her face. The alleged victim added she plans to sue Mixon and that she hopes Mixon "goes to prison for years," according to News OK.

TCU redshirt sophomore DE Devonte Fields surrendered to Tarrant County authorities on Thursday and was released after posting bond of $3,500, the Associated Press reports.

Fields was "separated" from the university earlier this week pending an investigation into an incident in which Fields allegedly threatened a woman with a gun; her right cheek was swollen and she had a cut under an eye when the police arrived. The former Big 12 defensive player of the year allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend and threatened to "blast" her after an argument. Fields is a big-time on-field talent who has led a troubled off-field existence. If these allegations are proven true, he's done at TCU, and his NFL future would be in serious doubt.

The Texas football team was recently given a random drug test, according to Chip Brown of Horns Digest.

Brown suggests this could be the reasoning for the numerous recent dismissals by head coach Charlie Strong. Two players were dismissed from the team this past spring, and Brown points out it was due to failed drug tests. Running back Joe Bergeron, backup safety Chevoski Collins and running back Jalen Overstreet were recently dismissed for violating team rules. Horns Digest notes two more players are under review.
