SI's Tony Pauline tweeted he is "hearing" that Michigan State junior TE Dion Sims will enter April's NFL Draft.

Sims is a very intriguing prospect and presents a frame and skill set that is somewhat unique. At 6'5/280, Sims is a very reliable blocker and was even left in on pass protection very often. That size also comes in handy as a receiver, but Sims does not possess true quickness for the position. Still, a team looking for an inline option may select Sims int he second-round if this report comes true.

Wisconsin redshirt freshman QB Alex Hornibrook (head) is not starting Saturday's Big Ten Championship Game against Penn State.

Hornibrook has been dealing with a head injury sustained against Minnesota last weekend. While he will potentially be available in the Big Ten title tilt, Bart Houston draws the start in his place. Both quarterbacks could see playing time depending on the flow of the game.

Oklahoma redshirt junior QB Baker Mayfield announced that he's coming back for his final season next year.

The redshirt junior was granted an additional season of eligibility prior to the campaign when the Big 12 voted to allow walk-ons to transfer within the conference without losing a season of eligibility. Mayfield, who finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting last year, threw for 3,669 yards and 38 touchdowns this year.

Dec 3 - 7:59 PM

Alabama redshirt sophomore RB Bo Scarbrough rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries in Saturday's 54-16 dismantling of Florida in the SEC Championship Game.

Alabama's offense failed to fire on all cylinders, but they did receive contributions from multiple parties. Scarbrough led the Tide with his 91 yards rushing, while Damien Harris was nipping right at his heels with 86 yards of his own. Joshua Jacobs and Derrick Gore also came through with rushing touchdowns. For his part, the 6-foot-2, 228-pound Scarbrough would hit the end zone for both of his scores in the second half. The former five-star recruit hasn't ripped up the universe like some were forecasting during the offseason, but he does have seven touchdowns on the year and has served as a productive cog for the newly-minted SEC champs. To the Playoff, now.
Dec 3 - 7:50 PM

West Virginia junior RB Justin Crawford rushed for 209 yards on 28 carries in Saturday's 24-21 win over Baylor.

Skyler Howard proved spotty in the passing game, throwing for all of 111 yards in the contest. With little happening through the air, the Mountaineers leaned hard on their running game, racking up 312 yards as a team. The bulk of that output came via Crawford. He averaged 7.4 YPC with a long run of 63 yards in the victory. Just about the only knock you could levy against him is the fact that he failed to rush for a touchdown. Otherwise, this was a dynamite performance through-and-through. While the 5-foot-11, 198-pounder has been held under 50 yards rushing five times in 12 games this season, he also has several monster efforts to his name. Most notably, Crawford blasted Oklahoma for 331 yards on 24 carries back on November 19. West Virginia wraps up its regular season with a 10-2 record and will now await bowl assignment.
Dec 3 - 7:21 PM

ESPN's Brett McMurphy reports that Oregon has interviewed Boise State HC Bryan Harsin and South Florida HC Willie Taggart for their open head-coaching position.

Oregon parted ways with HC Mark Helfrich this past week. While McMurphy relays that Harsin and Taggart have both received interviews for the vacant position, USA Today has also floated Western Michigan's P.J. Fleck as a potential candidate, here. The Ducks finished the 2016 season with a 4-8 record.
Dec 3 - 4:31 PM

Oklahoma junior RB Samaje Perine rushed for 239 yards and a touchdown on 37 carries in the school's 38-20 win over Oklahoma State.

Perine could have easily scored another touchdown, but on the final drive he took a knee at the one yard line to run out the clock. Perine's name gets lost in the running back shuffle, however, that could change as many file through the ball carriers leading up to the 2017 NFL Draft. That is if Perine declares for the draft.
Dec 3 - 4:30 PM

Western Kentucky redshirt senior RB Anthony Wales rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries in Saturday's 58-44 win over Louisiana Tech.

Oh, that's not all. He also caught six balls for 68 yards and two scores. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound redshirt senior finishes the regular season with 1,361 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground and 27 catches for 254 yards and three more scores.
Dec 3 - 4:10 PM

ESPN's Brett McMurphy reports that West Virginia and HC Dana Holgorsen have agreed to a five-year contract extension.

Holgorsen's new contract will run through the 2021 season. In his six seasons at the helm of the Mountaineers' ship, West Virginia has posted a 45-30 record (26-25 in conference). They play Baylor Saturday afternoon as they look to secure their second 10-win season under Holgorsen. Given that he was reportedly close to losing his job at the end of the 2015 campaign, this has been quite the turnaround.
Dec 3 - 4:04 PM

Temple senior QB P.J. Walker (leg) went 16-of-25 for 199 yards and two touchdown passes in a 34-10 win over Navy in the AAC Championship Game on Saturday.

Walker was in a walking boot earlier this week, but he didn't look any worse for the wear today. Temple, which lost to Houston in last year's AAC Championship game, saw things go down a little differently this time around, mostly because of their superb defense. The 10-3 Owls will learn which bowl they're headed to on Sunday.
Dec 3 - 4:01 PM

Navy senior QB Will Worth (ankle) was knocked out of the game in the second quarter of Saturday's tilt against Temple.

Worth got hurt during the third drive and didn't return to the field until hobbling to the sidelines on crutches. Sophomore No. 2 quarterback Zach Abey went 7-of-13 passing for 104 yards and two interceptions, adding 70 yards on the ground. Temple's resounding win put an end to Navy's 15-game home winning streak. After licking their wounds, the Mids will play their annual Army-Navy game in Baltimore next Saturday.

Dec 3 - 3:53 PM

Oklahoma senior WR Dede Westbrook suffered a possible concussion in the second quarter against Oklahoma State after catching four passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Westbrook was Oklahoma's entire offense in the first half, and Baker Mayfield set him up to fail by throwing him that type of pass over the middle. The hit was clean, and Westbrook's head seemed to bounce off the ground on contact. Perhaps no receiver improved their evaluation more this season than Westbrook. He is headed to the Senior Bowl in January.
