Florida junior DT Sharrif Floyd announced after Wednesday's game that he will forgo his final season of eligibility and declare for April's Draft.

Floyd was the Gators best player in the losing effort, but the interior defensive lineman generated consistent pressure with a strong upper body or quick feet. The junior is built perfectly for the three technique defensive tackle spot, but has film at defensive end from his sophomore year. That exposure will be appreciated by evaluators as it will allow a minimal amount of guess work.

ESPN's Mel Kiper moved Florida State redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston to No. 1 overall in his most recent Big Board.

Winston was previously ranked No. 6. "When Winston plummeted on my board during the season, it was a direct reflection of major concerns from me and from teams about whether he was draftable if he didn't show more maturity," Kiper wrote. "It's easy to say in hindsight that I dropped him too far, but it certainly reflected my opinion and the opinion of those I respect on where Winston stood at that time. Since then, my sense is that some of those concerns have diminished -- no other mistakes have been made -- and while Winston faces scrutiny in the coming months on his maturity and his play, he is still considered the top quarterback in this draft and arguably the top overall player. Winston has a good football mind and great physical talent, with special pocket instincts and the necessary vision, size, arm strength and athleticism." Winston is the new odds-on favorite to go No. 1, replacing Marcus Mariota.

Eastern Washington senior QB Vernon Adams is visiting Oregon this weekend, according to The Oregonian's Jen Beyrle.

The Ducks open with Eastern Washington next season, which adds a wrinkle to this possible transfer. Adams is listed at 6'0/200 lbs and had impressive moments against Washington in 2014. Since he redshirted his first season, Adams likely would fit as a graduate transfer.

USC DL Leonard Williams "has been the most dominating player" NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah has watched thus far in the evaluation process.

"Everything you want -- the size, the length, the explosiveness, the versatility. You can play him all over the line on defense," Jeremiah said. "He reminds me a lot of Richard Seymour. That's pretty good company to keep." Our only hang up with Williams is his tendency to put himself a step behind once the ball is snapped due to a poor get off. The strength and power he possesses when using his hands is impressive.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler believes Iowa OL Brandon Scherff's best position in the NFL will be G.

This does not prevent Brugler from praising Scherff, ranking him as the No. 4 overall prospect. Interior OL are receiving their due from evaluators, since preventing interior disruption is critical for an offense to have success. Scherff's projection could be similar to Zack Martin, as some teams will view him as an edge blocker and others inside. We think he is more natural as a tackle compared to Martin.

NFL Media's Mike Mayock believes Iowa redshirt senior DT Carl Davis may have pushed into the first round with his performance at the Senior Bowl.

"On tape at Iowa, he flashed, here he did way more than that. He played every snap, he showed athleticism, an ability to push the pocket and get to the quarterback," Mayock said Saturday. "He may have elevated himself right into the first round and that's what this game is all about." A panel of NFL scouts named Davis as the Senior Bowl's most outstanding practice player. Davis had only 3.5 career sacks at Iowa. His game is gap control, run prevention and sheer physicality. Davis recently said he models his game after Lions' DT Ndamukong Suh.

NFL Media's Mike Mayock believes Miami senior LB Denzel Perryman "is a first-round inside linebacker if he runs well at the combine."

Perryman did not play in Saturday's game due to an abdominal injury he suffered earlier in the week, but analysts did get to see plenty of him in practice. He has drawn comparisons to former Badger Chris Borland -- drafted in the third round by the 49ers -- though's Daniel Jeremiah believes Perryman will be drafted higher than Borland was. Perryman possesses a stocky 6-foot, 243-pound frame. We've heard he runs a 4.72 forty, though the combine will be the final arbiter of that.

Michigan has flipped the commitment of four-star high school QB recruit Zach Gentry from Texas.

Jim Harbaugh is already working. Gentry is a 6'6/230 pounds pro-style quarterback out of New Mexico and flipped his commitment while on a recruiting trip at Michigan. He is the first commitment Harbaugh has received since taking over the job.

Former TCU DE Devonte Fields is visiting Louisville today and the Cardinals are in the lead to land the transfer, according to Max Olson.

Fields played a number of games for Trinity Valley Community College this year, but his effort was spotty according to eye witness reporter accounts via Sports Illustrated. Fields, in fact, said it was difficult to stay motivated. The edge rusher's freshman season was outstanding at TCU, but he has since dealt with injuries and off-field transgressions. Louisville loves to give second chances.

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder in the school's loss to Ohio State.

"Right now we're still making that decision, whether to throw at the combine. I had to kinda rest about a week-and-a-half," Mariota said. He is already able to throw, but many quarterbacks do not throw at the Combine regardless of health. This could also be a reason why Mariota did not attend the Senior Bowl, which he was eligible for.

During a celebration at Ohio Stadium to celebrate Ohio State’s title, OSU senior QB Braxton Miller said "we've got another year to do it," which some are taking as an indication he will return to campus this fall.

"Privilege and honor to be part of this team," Miller told fans. "Guess what, we've got another year to do it. So go Bucks." Miller enrolled for the spring semester at OSU, another indication that he seems to be leaning towards returning to Columbus. Miller won't participate in spring practice due to a shoulder injury. When he returns -- if he returns -- the preseason battle between Miller, J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones for the starting gig will be perhaps the most epic in the history of college football. It's important to note that Miller could transfer and play immediately in 2015 as a graduate transfer. This story isn't over yet.

Ohio State redshirt sophomore QB Cardale Jones could have been drafted as high as the top 10-15 if he'd opted early into the draft, an NFL team executive told Fox Sports.

"Maybe he would have gone in the second round," the executive told, "but I think it's just as likely (he) could have gone in the top 10 or 15. Look at that body, that arm -- and look at his competition (in the draft)." A different source told Fox that Jones can develop more effectively in college this coming season. "In a way I'm glad he (returned). He needs reps, even spring reps. He needs time," the source said. "The problem with the NFL is it would take a unique situation for a team to draft him and not feel the pressure to play him next year, probably before he's ready." Jones himself told Sports Illustrated that he had an opportunity "to be picked in the second or third round of the 2015 draft," while two NFL sources speaking with CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd said his draft ceiling would have been Round 4 had he entered. We think the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Jones probably would have ended up going on Day 2.
