Colorado OL David Bakhtiari said he is being projected as a LT and C by some teams, even though he has never snapped before.

Bakhtiari measured in at 6'4 1/4 inches and 299 pounds with 34 inch arms. That length will help him in the NFL, but we felt he lost too often on an island against counter moves. A move to guard might be his best option, since he already possesses an aggressive attitude.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora was not ready to name a starting quarterback at Pac-12 media days, but he said he doesn't anticipate using multiple quarterbacks.

"I’d rather use one. I think that is the most beneficial way to build your team and consistency is to use one," Mora said. "But we’ll see. My gut instinct is to name a guy and support the hell out of him. That’s what I’ve tried to do." With Brett Hundley off to the NFL and Asiantii Woulard having transferred, the QB race is down to Jerry Neuheisel, Mike Fafaul and freshman phenom Josh Rosen. Most fans want Rosen inserted as starter on Day 1, but Mora is not yet ready to do so. "He hasn’t taken a snap at this level. So I don’t want to put too many expectations," Mora said. "I’ll let others put expectations on them. I think if Josh reaches his potential every day at the end of his time at UCLA we’ll look back and say he was a success."

Michigan State redshirt junior edge player Shilique Calhoun is "overrated" and a certainty to get over-drafted, postulates TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

Shockingly, the analyst grades Calhoun, who some see as a first-round lock, as a third-rounder. "Many salivate over Calhoun but I just don’t know where he lines up at the next level," Pauline wrote. "He’s small for defensive end and lacks the speed for outside linebacker. Calhoun will be over drafted due to his pass rushing skills." The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Calhoun, a two-time first-team All-Big Ten pick, reportedly received a Round 2 grade from the advisory committee after last season.

Ole Miss junior T Laremy Tunsil and his stepfather have each agreed not to pursue legal action against one another.

The Clarion-Ledger reports that both parties' domestic violence charges will be formally dropped on Monday. Reportedly, Tunsil’s stepfather, Lindsey Miller, got into an altercation with Tunsil's mother, ending when Tunsil punched him. Miller's version of the story is that the argument arose over Tunsil’s connection to sports agents. The NCAA is investigating the situation, but Tunsil will avoid legal problems. Tunsil is a top-10 overall prospect.

Oregon sophomore RB Royce Freeman has dropped 8 lbs and now weighs 222 lbs.

We always hear about skill position players gaining weight, so it is refreshing to hear about running backs losing weight. We don't have numbers to back it up, but it appears to help careers more than adding mass. Freeman was one of the best running backs in the country last season in just his first year, and could be the focus of Oregon's offensive gameplan this year.

Ohio State senior DL Adolphus Washington is moving back to the 3-technique to replace the departed Michael Bennett.

Washington played a good amount on the edge last year and his play style should fit a move closer to the center. The 3-technique is also called the B gap, between the guard and tackle, and highlights an upfield, explosive disruptor. Bennett dealt with injuries throughout his career but was successful when on the field. We expect the same for Washington.

LSU junior QB Anthony Jennings will not face charges over an alleged burglary and has been reinstated to the team.

Charges were also dropped against defensive back Dwayne Thomas and defensive lineman Maquedius Bain. "The decision is based upon the request of the victim that no charges be filed and inconsistent and contradictory statements provided," East Baton Rouge district attorney Hillar Moore said. "Although the conduct of these students in this situation is unacceptable, it is not one, based on the facts, that warrant prosecution, although their actions could have subjected them to such." The three players will be subject to in-house discipline, though Jennings is free to re-enter the starting QB competition.

Asked about who will start at QB in the opener against Virginia Tech, Ohio State HC Urban Meyer said the "first guy that jogs out at Blacksburg will be the starting quarterback."

Well, so much for that question. Here's where we stand at the moment: With Braxton Miller moving to WR/H-back/OW, J.T. Barrett will battle Cardale Jones for the right to take the first snap against the Hokies. The Columbus Dispatch reported that "[c]oaches [have been]… grading Barrett and Jones all summer regarding leadership, academics and the weight room."

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline considers Michigan State senior QB Connor Cook "overrated."

If we respect Pauline for one thing, it's that he doesn't follow the herd. While Cook is a top-three overall prospect on some experts' boards heading into the year -- CBS Sports grades him as the No. 1 QB prospect in the nation and the prospect slotted No. 2 to the Browns in Todd McShay's 2016 mock draft -- Pauline grades him as a ho-hum second-rounder. "Cook has the physical skills to start on the NFL level but makes to many head scratching throws which is worrisome," he wrote. "I don’t feel he’s worthy of being a top 15 choice as many predict."

Former UCLA redshirt sophomore S Priest Willis transferred to Texas A&M.

Willis will have two years of eligibility remaining in 2016 after sitting out this fall. The 2013 four-star recruit was ranked as the No. 56 prep prospect overall by Rivals. Willis played in nine games last year after redshirting in 2013.

Cal junior C Matt Cochran has left the school.

The school gave no reason for Cochran, the projected starting center, abruptly leaving. A spokesman only divulged he's still a student at Cal. Matt's brother, Aaron Cochran, is a sophomore offensive lineman still on Cal's roster. Addison Ooms and Michael Trani are now the top two centers on Cal's depth chart.

Four-star 2015 RB recruit Jordan Stevenson, who was denied admission to Wisconsin, will play for Nebraska.

Stevenson will join Nebraska this season, as he is a member of the 2015 class. Up to 13 teams were in on Stevenson after his commitment with Wisconsin fell through. Both schools lost running backs to the NFL and are looking to replace the workhorses with younger players. Stevenson might not factor into the Husker's crowded backfield this season.
