San Diego Chargers OL coach Joe D’Alessandris put Arkansas-Pine Bluff T Terron Armstead through his Pro Day workout.

Armstead stood on his forty, vertical, and broad jump from Indianapolis, but did participate in positional activities. "Armstead looked outstanding in the workouts, and now has some private workouts scheduled, including one with the Dallas Cowboys," writes NFL.com's Gil Brandt. We think Armstead has an excellent shot at being a top-50 selection.

Wisconsin freshman RB Jonathan Taylor rushed for 132 yards on 19 carries in Saturday's 24-10 win over Michigan.

Taylor has rushed for over 100 yards in six of his last seven games and eight of 11 games total this year. Taylor is up to 1,657 yards and 12 touchdowns during his sensational first season on campus. He needs to work on ball security and pass-catching, but Taylor has a few years to do so.

Virginia redshirt senior QB Kurt Benkert completed 28-of-37 passes for 384 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 44-28 loss to Miami.

The Cavaliers came out hot in this one, with Benkert connecting on a pair of early first-quarter scores to put UVA up 14-0. Miami would come back to tie the contest before Benkert returned fire with two more touchdown passes (one late in the second quarter, one early in the third). The Hurricanes took control from that point on, but it was a fantastic performance by Benkert nonetheless. This was the redshirt senior's sixth showing this year of at least three touchdown passes. He'll try for one more big performance against Virginia Tech on Black Friday to close out the regular season.
Nov 18 - 3:55 PM

Northwestern senior RB Justin Jackson rushed for 166 yards on 31 carries in Saturday's 39-0 win over Minnesota.

Jackson methodically shredded the Gophers defense for 5.4 YPC. In so doing, Jackson became the ninth player in FBS history to have four 1,000-yard seasons. He's the second Big 10 player to do so, joining former Wisconsin RB and Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne. Other relevent names on the list include Tony Dorsett (Pitt) and Cedric Benson (Texas). Jackson is up to 5,139 career rushing yards.
Nov 18 - 3:20 PM

Minnesota redshirt sophomore QB Demry Croft was abysmal in Saturday's 39-0 loss to Northwestern, going 2-for-11 for 43 yards and three interceptions.

To add to his abominable line, the dual-threat Croft had -17 rushing yards. This comes one week after Croft ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in a 54-21 demolition of Nebraska. Croft will have plenty of competition for the starting job next summer.
Nov 18 - 3:15 PM

Syracuse junior QB Eric Dungey (foot) warmed up in advance of Saturday's game against Louisville, but is not expected to start.

Dungey has now warmed up for back-to-back contests, but he did not start against Wake Forest last weekend and he will not be doing so against Louisville, either. After warming up on Saturday, he was later spotted in sweats and a boot. Zack Mahoney will take the start in his place versus the Cardinals.
Nov 18 - 3:00 PM

Iowa State redshirt freshman QB Zeb Noland will start Saturday's game against Baylor.

Kyle Kempt (undisclosed) warmed up on Saturday, but the Cyclones have ultimately opted to rest him up against the Bears. Noland threw for 263 yards and an interception in last weekend's loss to Oklahoma State after Kempt was injured in that contest.
Nov 18 - 2:47 PM

Michigan redshirt freshman QB Brandon Peters was forced out of Saturday's game against Wisconsin late in the third quarter after landing hard on his shoulder.

Peters was hit just as he was releasing the ball. The hit itself was not late or illegal, but the redshirt freshman's shoulder/arm took all the weight of the defender as he went down. He stayed down for several minutes after suffering the injury before being carted off the field. John O'Korn will almost certainly finish out the game at quarterback with Peters out. Expect Michigan to provide an update on the gunslinger's status for next weekend's showdown with Ohio State in the coming days.
Nov 18 - 2:42 PM

Wyoming redshirt junior QB Josh Allen was the first player announced for Wyoming's senior day introductions.

Allen is a junior. He's also not playing today against Fresno State, but dressed in pads to come out for the introduction. It's the strongest indication yet that he'll declare for the NFL Draft after this season. He's a projected first-round pick.
Nov 18 - 2:21 PM

West Virginia redshirt junior QB Will Grier (finger) won't return to Saturday's game against Texas.

Grier suffered a grotesque finger injury while diving for the pylon (and fumbling) in the first quarter. He suffered a dislocation of a finger on his throwing hand. Chris Chugunov came on in his place and will close out the game. West Virginia is praying that Grier will be available for next week's finale against Oklahoma.

Wyoming redshirt junior QB Josh Allen (shoulder) is not warming up with the team in advance of Saturday's game against Fresno State.

The last update we received on Allen regarded a missed Tuesday practice while he received "specialized treatment" on his throwing shoulder. Since he hasn't been seen in warmups, it's almost assured that Allen won't be active today. Expect Nick Smith to draw the start.
Nov 18 - 1:14 PM

West Virginia redshirt junior QB Will Grier (finger) left for the locker room in the first quarter of Saturday's game against Texas.

Grier was scrambling left and attempting to stretch into the end zone when he fumbled the ball into the end zone. On the landing, his finger got caught in the turf and bent in an ugly fashion. Grier left for the locker room. We'd consider him doubtful to return. To add insult to injury, Grier's fumble was ruled a touchback. West Virginia's touchdown was wiped off the board, and Texas was given the ball at the 20.
