Texas A&M RB Christine Michael has four formal team workouts scheduled for early April.

The Colts, Vikings, Buccaneers and Jets are the four teams. We have always liked Michael's talent, but he has had a hard time making it onto the field to display it on a consistent basis.

South Alabama senior QB Brandon Bridge completed 20-of-37 attempts for 279 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, and rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown in a 33-28 loss to Bowling Green on Saturday in the Camelia Bowl.

Bridge was the victim of a comedy of drops, and he complained on the sidelines at one point that his receivers weren't running the correct routes, according to the ESPN broadcast team. For his part, Bridge consistently wasn't setting his feet in the pocket. To be fair to both parties, the Jags recently hired new OC Bryant Vincent, the former UAB OC, and trotted out a new scheme on short notice. Vincent, it should be added, admitted he hadn't had time to watch South Alabama film, so he obviously didn't have a great handle on his personnel. Bridge has an NFL-grade gun, and NFL-grade athleticism, but he's about as raw as they come, with happy feet and a propensity to fire fastballs to nearby receivers expecting changeups. CBS projects the signal-caller as a mid-to-late round draft pick. "The ball shoots off his hand and he has some traits you cannot teach," an AFC North scout said earlier this year. "I'm just not sure how naturally the game comes to him."

Washington defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski told the Seattle Times that allegations of former junior CB Marcus Peters choking a coach were "bull****."

The allegations were made in both the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and NFL.com. "It’s bull****," UW defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski said. "We had our issues with Marcus, but there was never any physical altercation. Not with this staff." Peters was suspended for one game after he was seen throwing his helmet and gloves and arguing with Washington assistants during a win against Eastern Washington in September. Up until his dismissal, we also heard reports of further verbal altercations with the coaching staff, as well as a skipped practice. Kwiatkowski's quote is ultimately good news for Peters, but he still has plenty of questions to answer.

UCLA junior WR Jordan Payton will not declare for the NFL Draft.

"I’m coming back," Payton told reporters after Saturday's practice. "There were reports saying that I was leaving or something, but I’m coming back. Didn’t really even think about leaving, to be honest with you." Payton is perhaps referring to Tony Pauline's report last weekend. Either way, we're pleased to hear that he's returning to school, as Payton was graded as a mid- to late-round pick. Payton leads the Bruins with 63 receptions for 896 yards and seven touchdowns.

Mississippi State redshirt junior QB Dak Prescott received a grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board but declined to disclose it to the media.

"I don't think it's any more round," Prescott said. "Just what I feel (is) best for me, what I feel more comfortable doing." The signal-caller said in October that he would enter the draft if he were projected as a first-rounder, and would consider it if he were projected as a Round 2 or 3 pick. He said his thinking has changed, now, though we're guessing the committee told Prescott that he isn't projected to go in the first- or second-round. "I still have another year to come back and improve, get better if I need to," Prescott said. The deadline to declare early for the draft is Jan. 15.

Jets QB Michael Vick called FSU redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston "the future of the NFL."

An interesting take indeed from a player who himself was once called the future of the NFL. "I think he's a great player," Vick said. "I look forward to watching him. I have high expectations for him. I think he, over time, has made some poor decisions. Have I been there to know exactly what happened? No. But I do know one thing: He may make some poor decisions, but he gets on that football field and he plays his ass off. Yeah, he can mature. He'll mature. I see him maturing as time goes on. Like, this year hasn't been as bad of a year as the first year was for Jameis. I think the kid will continue to improve. I think he's the future of the NFL." Winston is a projected top-five pick, and a possible target of Vick's Jets.

Ohio State redshirt freshman QB J.T. Barrett "still has some work to do with mechanics and accuracy, but he shares similar traits to Alex Smith when he was playing in Urban Meyer's system at Utah," Scout Inc.'s Steve Muench and Kevin Weidl wrote.

"He had some struggles early on, but he was arguably the most improved player on this list throughout the season," they wrote. "Barrett still has some work to do with mechanics and accuracy, but he shares similar traits to Alex Smith when he was playing in Urban Meyer's system at Utah, with his ability to make quick and efficient decisions while also showing the mobility to move the chains with his legs." Barrett was named the Big 10's freshman of the year and finished fifth in Heisman Trophy voting after posting 3,772 total yards and 45 total touchdowns. Barrett broke his ankle versus Michigan and is out for the season, though he's expected to be ready for spring practices.

Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage spoke with one NFL team that is judging this year's T prospects based on their performance against Ohio State sophomore edge rusher Joey Bosa.

It makes sense. In fact, teams often look for a prospects' top matchup that season and use it as one of the three base exposures when creating an evaluation. Bosa will be that top opponent for every tackle who faces him. Michigan State redshirt sophomore tackle Jack Conklin is probably the best prospects Bosa faced this year. Expect the edge rusher to be at the top of many boards heading into the 2015 season.

Notre Dame senior T Christian Lombard's career is over due to a bulging disc, according to Irish Illustrated.

Lombard could have given the NFL a shot, but he will not pursue a professional football career. Sophomore Mike McGlinchey will likely take his place in the starting lineup. Notre Dame faces LSU in their bowl game.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn remained noncommittal regarding junior WR Duke Williams' status for the school's bowl game against Wisconsin.

Williams missed three games with a sprained MCL and bruised knee but returned against Alabama. He has dominated form the slot on underneath routes, which is a great complementary piece to Sammie Coates' vertical ability Coates has already announced he will enter the draft, and Williams could follow suit.

Oklahoma senior TE Blake Bell has accepted an invitation to play in the East West Shrine game.

This year's tight end class is not very intriguing in terms of first or second day picks, but the Shrine staff has done well in finding some possible gems in Bell, Wes Saxton, MyCole Pruitt and A.J. Derby. Bell joins Derby as two former quarterbacks making the position switch.

Mississippi State HC Dan Mullen said redshirt junior LB Benardrick McKinney is "indeed likely to turn pro."

The announcement, long expected, will come after the Orange Bowl. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound McKinney is huge, athletic, and packs a punch in the trenches. You can criticize his deficiencies in space and pass coverage, though it's fair to point out that he has the athletic tools to improve in both categories. ESPN's Mel Kiper wrote earlier this week that McKinney "is a good bet to be a first-rounder if the draft were tomorrow."
