After speaking with multiple NFL teams, the three positions with clarity at the top are CB, S, and TE, per NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.

Dee Milliner is the top corner, Kenny Vaccaro is the top safety, and Tyler Eifert is the top tight end. We takes this to mean every other position has some contention at No. 1, and we wouldn't be surprised if that included these three positions. Some notable exceptions are Luke Joeckel at left tackle and Chance Warmack at guard.

Virginia Tech sophomore S Adonis Alexander and redshirt freshman DE Houshun Gaines were sentenced to probation and 24 hours of community service for their possession of marijuana charges.

Alexander and Gaines were arrested in late April and faced misdemeanor marijuana possession charges (with Alexander also facing a possession of alcohol charge). With the matter now officially settled, all eyes turn to HC Justin Fuente, who said at the time of the arrest that the plan was to take a "wait-and-see" approach before doling out punishments. For the time being, the pair remains in indefinite suspension limbo.

Oklahoma junior CB Jordan Thomas faces charges of public intoxication, assault and battery and interference stemming from an early Thursday morning arrest.

This according to the arrest record from the Cleveland County sheriff's office. Further details regarding the exact circumstances are not known at this time. Thomas has had his run-ins with the law before, most recently in a December arrest after he skipped a court date relating to a speeding violation. The 6-foot-1, 183-pounder has also been suspended from the Sooners twice in his career. HC Bob Stoops has yet to comment on this most recent arrest. Last season, Thomas earned All-Big 12 second-team honors after recording 46 tackles and intercepting five passes.

Scout.com's Greg Biggins called Alabama five-star 2017 RB Najee Harris "one of those generational talents that you just don't see very often."

Harris has received universal praise as prospect, but Biggins' comment crystallizes the national perception among those in the know. No wonder that both he and colleague Brandon Huffman project the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder as a potential Heisman winner down the road. Biggins called him perhaps the best running back prospect to come out of West Coast in a decade and wrote that Harris "has size, power, speed, the ability to run inside or outside, shows great hands out of the backfield, is highly competitive and works very hard off the field." Adding to the intrigue, Harris is also viewed as a prospect who could potentially flip on his commitment. Regardless of where he lands, he has the potential to be an immediate impact freshman in 2017.

A rival Big 12 assistant coach told ESPN that Texas HC Charlie Strong's efforts to bring in former Baylor recruits this month "will go down in the history books as one of the best recruiting jobs ever."

After Baylor lost a number of high-profile recruits following their move to terminate HC Art Briles at the end of May, Strong's work to bring them into the Longhorns fold was nothing short of remarkable. Four-star WR Devin Duvernay, four-star OL J.P. Urquidez, four-star OL Patrick Hudson and three-star ATH Donovan Duvernay all hooked up with Strong's crew this month. Add this to the fact that Texas made an impressive National Signing Day push back in February. One Big 12 assistant believes that "[i]t’s this type of attention that will help them with the 2017 and 2018 classes, too. They’ll surely get a bump after this amazing run." That assistant offered one other piece of high praise, saying, "It has to be one of the top five classes in the country after this."

The NCAA is implementing a rule in which all bowl-eligible teams with 6-6 records are required to be given their bowl assignments before a team with a 5-7 record can be considered.

Last season, three teams with 5-7 records were awarded bowl bids based on APR (Academic Progress Rate). This in and of itself is not the issue -- there were 80 slots available, 77 of which were filled by 6-6 teams, thus three more were needed. Instead, the issue comes in the fact that the Foster Farms Bowl passed over Mountain West squads Nevada (6-6) and Colorado State (7-5) in favor of placing a 5-7 Nebraska team against 8-5 UCLA. This will not be a possibility this coming season. All 6-6 teams will first be chosen for the respective bowls, at which point (assuming there are still slots available), the 5-7 team with the highest APR will be able to choose which available bowl to attend.

Ohio State has hired former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips as a quality control assistant.

Phillips previously served as the Browns WR coach after being let go by Florida for appearing in a photo with a recruit during a "dead period." Phillips' main role will likely focus on recruitment, and it is easy to presume he's already on the road working for the Buckeyes.

LSU graduate transfer QB Anthony Jennings is reportedly in the early stages of transferring to Louisiana-Lafayette.

As a graduate set to earn his degree later this summer, Jennings would be eligible to participate immediately. Stuck behind Brandon Harris on the depth chart after losing a competition last season, Jennings' departure is not a surprise. He accrued a 12/8 TD/INT during his time with the Tigers, mostly as a sophomore.

Ex-Baylor four-star 2016 T Patrick Hudson signed with Texas.

Hudson was one of five Baylor recruits released from national letters of intent (NLI) on June 23. The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder may have been the best of the bunch, the No. 1-ranked offensive guard and No. 56 overall prospect in the class, per ESPN. Hudson will enroll at Texas on July 11. Hudson follows WR Devin Duvernay, T J.P. Urquidez and ATH Donovan Duvernay in flopping from Baylor to Texas following the former's scandal. Hudson, Devin Duvernay and Urquidez were all four-star, ESPN300 prospects, while Donovan Duvernay was a three-star.

Alabama freshman LB Lyndell Wilson will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in one of his knees.

It is the second major medical procedure Wilson has undergone this offseason, following labrum surgery in the spring. 247Sports ranked Wilson as the No. 15 overall prospect in this past recruiting cycle and Rivals had him as the No. 26 player in the country. Wilson may be headed for a redshirt.

Auburn redshirt junior edge rusher Carl Lawson did not make Lance Zierlein's top 10 prospects at the position.

"I just need to see him do something. He's more of an urban legend than a guy you can count on to make plays at this point," the NFL.com writer tweeted. Zierlein's reasoning makes sense, as Lawson dealt with major injuries in both 2014 and 2015. However, we would make the argument that Lawson had the talent to be the No. 2 edge rusher in the 2016 NFL Draft if he elected to declare. That did not happen, as Lawson is set to return to college for one more season. More than sacks, Lawson likely needs to prove he can stay on the field. When in the lineup, Lawson impacts an offense on the edge and inside.

New Mexico State graduate WR Teldrick Morgan transferred to Maryland.

"It’s always great to bring a local kid back home [Morgan is from Hanover, Maryland]," HC D.J. Durkin said in a statement, "and on top of that he’s very skilled and brings a wealth of experience to our receivers unit." A groin injury sidelined Morgan for three games last season, but the 6-foot, 195-pounder still managed to catch 44 passes for 534 yards and four touchdowns after hauling in 75 passes for 903 yards and seven touchdowns during his sophomore campaign in 2014. Morgan has led New Mexico State in receptions each of the last two seasons.
