NFL.com's Bucky Brooks believes Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel is not a top QB prospect at this time.

Brooks starts by complimenting Manziel, saying his "remarkable athleticism serves as the driving force of the Aggies' zone-read option-heavy offense." However, the comparison to Doug Flutie starts to surface. "He is an unconventional playmaker with outstanding athleticism and running skills who is at his best when improvising and playing "sandlot" football -- something that will be hard to do in the NFL," Brooks writes. "Additionally, he lacks the requisite physical dimensions and pocket passing skills that most evaluators covet in franchise quarterbacks."

After suffering a disconnected hamstring last November, LSU redshirt senior WR Travin Dural is back to 100 percent ahead of his final collegiate season.

Dural flirted with entering the 2016 NFL Draft, but the injury and low production, thanks to LSU's offensive focus, likely propelled him back to college. Dural did not participate in spring activities, but Les Miles is very optimistic for his readiness when the Tigers open fall camp. Dural and Malachi Dupre make up one of the best receiving duos in the country.

Oklahoma State senior WR Marcell Ateman could be sidelined until October after undergoing surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot.

Ateman stands a gigantic 6-foot-4 and 215-pounds. He emerged last season, leading some to say he is the school's top target moving forward. Ateman finished with 766 yards and five touchdowns on 45 receptions. Ateman's best games included Iowa State, Kansas State and West Virginia. However, the receiver's foot was injured in non-contact drills over the summer. Foot injuries tend to lead to other ailments down the road, so Ateman should not rush his return.

Michigan State LB Riley Bullough told media members Penn State sophomore Saquon Barkley was the best RB he faced in 2015.

Bullough and Michigan State faced Ezekiel Elliott last season, and limited the future top five pick to 33 yards on 12 carries, which ended in Elliott expressing his frustration to the media. "I think they bring different things to the table. Barkley was a great back, he was hard to tackle," Bullough said. Barkley produced over 100 yards against the Spartans. Northwestern linebacker Anthony Walker, who we absolutely love, also praised Barkley's game. Expectations are high for Barkley this year.

247Sports reports that a large number of schools have shown interest in transferring Florida junior QB/WR Treon Harris.

Per the report, FBS schools Southern Miss, Texas State and Georgia State have all spoken directly to Harris’ family. FCS programs including Florida A&M, Howard and Hampton have also gotten in touch. In addition to that, Minnesota, Kansas, SMU, Eastern Michigan, Jacksonville State, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Mercer have all requested Harris' release so they can make contact. Harris, a former four-star recruit and the nation's No. 9 athlete in his class, could play quarterback, wide receiver or safety, depending on where he winds up. Harris is expected to settle on finalists by Monday in an effort to enroll in August.

Charles Perridon, Texas junior RB Roderick Bernard's high school coach, said that the back was involved in a car accident earlier this month.

Sharpstown High's Perridon said that Bernard would likely miss the entire 2016 season due to the injuries sustained in the car crash. This isn't Bernard's first brush with major injury. The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder tore his ACL returning a kick in the fifth game of his 2014 freshman campaign. He appeared in 10 games last season but recorded minimal statistical production. This spring, the Longhorns transitioned the wideout over to running back.

Neither Clemson junior QB Deshaun Watson nor FSU junior RB Dalvin Cook were unanimous All-ACC preseason selections.

Watson and Cook were named to the preseason All-ACC team (no surprise there), but not in the expected fashion. Despite the fact that Watson was the Heisman runner-up to Christian McCaffrey last season and that Cook was about as close to the Heisman ceremony as a non-invitee can be, neither player was named a unanimous All-ACC selection. In Watson's case, Miami QB Brad Kaaya, Louisville QB Lamar Jackson and North Carolina QB Mitch Trubisky siphoned off a total of three ballots.

Uncommitted five-star 2017 WR Tyjon Lindsey said that his unofficial visit to Ohio State last weekend was "perfect."

Ohio State impressed the 5-foot-9, 175-pounder during his camp visit, leading him to say that he "felt at home" with the Buckeyes. Recruits are somewhat naturally prone to gushing coming off of any visit -- rare is the player who says "it just didn't do much for me" -- but Ohio State should be considered a legitimate threat for Lindsey's commitment. A prime factor here is the prior commitment of five-star QB Tate Martell. Lindsey and Martell are tight friends, to the point where the former stayed with the latter's family in Las Vegas back when he attended Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. Nebraska is another strong contender, here, as Lindsey has built up a relationship with WR coach Keith Williams.

Wisconsin HC Paul Chryst indicated that redshirt sophomore LB T.J. Edwards (foot) will be out indefinitely.

No specifics are available regarding how Edwards suffered the injury, but he was spotted wearing a walking boot earlier in the week and Chryst informed the local media on Tuesday that the 6-foot-1, 238-pounder would be out for at least the foreseeable future. Wisconsin starts up camp on August 8 and kicks off the 2016 campaign in Lambeau Field against LSU on September 3. If Edwards is not ready for the start of the season, it would be a legitimate blow to the Badgers. Last season, he led the program with 84 tackles. He also posted 6.5 TFL. Redshirt sophomore Ryan Connelly and redshirt freshman Nick Thomas should see increased reps in camp while Edwards rehabs from the injury.

The NFL will announce Philadelphia as the host city for the 2017 NFL Draft, according to NJ.com's Matt Lombardo.

The draft has been held in Chicago for the last two years after leaving New York City. According to Lombardo, the NFL is still nailing down the details on the announcement. Philadelphia, obviously, can support big events, as they are currently hosting the Democratic National Convention. In terms of a local connection, the Eagles do not currently own a first round pick in 2017 after trading it to move up for Carson Wentz.

Tennessee HC Butch Jones said, "We anticipate [sophomore DL Shy Tuttle (leg)] being ready for the first game, but we'll see how that goes."

Tuttle broke his fibula and tore a ligament in his ankle in an October win over Georgia last season (by-the-by, that was the same game in which Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury). He has been medically cleared to run, but Jones won't be taking undue chances with the 6-foot-2, 311-pounder's health this August. "He's worked exceptionally hard, but it's going to be touch and go every day," he said. "It's going to be how his body works to heal. Every day, we'll know a little something more."

Ohio State HC Urban Meyer and Michigan State HC Mark Dantonio denied that they used negative recruiting tactics to dissuade prospects from committing to Penn State.

Penn State HC James Franklin has insinuated that some of the power programs in the Big Ten have been hitting on the Nittany Lions' troubled past to score recruiting points. "I don't know what happens out there on the road completely," Dantonio said. "But it's not our M.O., and that's not how we do business." For his part, Meyer sounded legitimately surprised by the allegations. "We've got a great deal of respect for every school in our conference," he explained, "and we do just fine with recruiting. We don't worry about that stuff. I'm glad you told me that. If that's true, I'll address that."
