Wisconsin senior RB James White and sophomore RB Melvin Gordon could share the field at the same time.

"A lot of it is going to depend on how those four tight ends come around that allow Melvin and James to possibly be on the field at the same time, which quarterback's playing, how well the quarterback can hurt you with his legs," head coach Gary Andersen said. "Those two packaged together, whether they're on the field at the same time or separately, cause a lot of problems."

Tennessee senior QB Josh Dobbs completed 16-of-32 passes for 319 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for an additional score in Saturday's 38-28 win over Florida.

The Volunteers had lost 11 straight games to the Gators entering Saturday's action. In the first half, it looked like they were going to extend that losing streak. Tennessee was booed off the field at the half, as they trailed 21-3. Dobbs looked lost through the first two quarters, but he picked up the slack in the second half, tossing a pair of scores in the third quarter and another two in the fourth as Tennessee came roaring back for the win. In addition, he finished the afternoon having rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Between his work through the air and his work on the ground, Dobbs has accounted for 14 total touchdowns this season. His passing remains a hit/miss proposition, but when he is on his game, he can be a fantasy stud.
Sep 24 - 8:16 PM

Boise State junior RB Jeremy McNichols rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries in Saturday's 38-24 win over Oregon State.

McNichols opened the game's scoring with his five-yard touchdown run just minutes into the game. He would notch a six-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter. These were just warm-ups for the 5-foot-9, 205-pounder's 70-yard bolt of a score with 2:46 remaining before the half. For the game as a whole, McNichols averaged 7.4 YPC. The 208 yards on the ground were a career-high for the Boise State star.

UNC senior WR Ryan Switzer posted his best game of the season in Saturday's 37-36 win over Pittsburgh, catching 16 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown.

Switzer snagged a 19-yard touchdown pass from Mitch Trubisky with a little over three minutes remaining in the first half. That score was his second of the season. Not only did Saturday see Switzer's first career 200-yard receiving game, it also saw his first with double-digit receptions. With this huge effort in the books, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound senior has now caught 33 passes for 429 yards and the aforementioned two scores.
Sep 24 - 7:36 PM

UNC redshirt junior QB Mitch Trubisky destroyed Pittsburgh in Saturday's 37-36 win, completing 35-of-46 passes for 453 yards and five touchdowns.

After a slow start to the season, Trubisky is coming on hot. On Saturday, he threw three of his five touchdown passes in the first half. Scoring toss No. 5 was the most important one of the contest, though, as the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder hit Bug Howard for a two-yard touchdown with just six seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to boost the Tar Heels to a 37-36 win. In his last two games alone, Trubisky has thrown for 885 yards with an 8/0 TD/INT ratio. He will try to keep up this happy roll against Florida State next weekend.
Sep 24 - 7:25 PM

Duke redshirt freshman QB Daniel Jones completed 24-of-32 passes for 290 yards and a 3/1 TD/INT rate in Saturday's 38-35 win over Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound signal-caller consistently took advantage of Notre Dame's miscues in the secondary. What's interesting about Jones' out-of-nowhere breakout is that he didn't really come out of nowhere. At least not if you listened to his head coach. Blue Devils' HC David Cutcliffe told Bruce Feldman this summer that Jones may have first-round NFL talent.
Sep 24 - 7:22 PM

Notre Dame redshirt sophomore QB DeShone Kizer completed 22-of-37 passes for a career-high 381 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 38-35 loss to Duke.

He also rushed 14 times for 60 yards and a score. This loss can be pinned on Notre Dame's awful defense, and not its stud quarterback. Kizer was quite good, displaying great accuracy on the deep ball while gouging the Blue Devils on the ground when his receivers were covered. DC Brian Van Gorder is on the hot seat, but Kizer is screaming up draft boards.
Sep 24 - 7:19 PM

Appalachian State redshirt sophomore RB Jalin Moore rushed for 257 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries in Saturday's 45-38 win over Akron.

With Marcus Cox (quad) unable to suit up on Saturday, the burden fell on Moore to lead the Mountaineers' rushing efforts. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder more than answered that call. His scores both came in the second half. He ripped off a 49-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and a 32-yarder in the fourth. Should Cox miss upcoming contests on injury, Moore would be worth a look on the waiver wire in deeper fantasy formats.
Sep 24 - 7:16 PM

Florida junior CB Teez Tabor left Saturday's game against Tennessee due to an apparent injury.

Tabor was banged up on a run by Tennessee's Jalen Hurd in the third quarter. He was able to walk off the field with little assistance and subsequently went into the locker room. His status for rest of the game is uncertain at this juncture.
Sep 24 - 6:13 PM

Oregon junior RB Royce Freeman (leg) will not start Saturday's game against Colorado.

Freeman suffered a right leg injury in the first half of Saturday's loss to Nebraska. He wore a walking boot early in the practice week and while he is participating in light pregame warm-ups, he won't be starting. If he does see the field, expect a relatively limited workload. This injury isn't expected to sideline Freeman long term. Kani Benoit will start in his place against Colorado.

Syracuse redshirt senior WR Amba Etta-Tawo caught 12 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 31-24 victory over UConn.

This is getting a little ridiculous, guys. Steve Ishmael was expected to be thriving in the No. 1 role this fall. If not him, then perhaps Brisley Estime. Instead, it's been Etta-Tawo, who was no better than a forgotten secondary option at Maryland over the past three years. You think the Terps would like him back now? With 40 catches for 706 yards and five touchdowns, Etta-Tawo has already easily surpassed his career-highs in all three categories. He has at least eight games left to play.
Sep 24 - 4:48 PM

Virginia Tech junior QB Jerod Evans completed 13 of 20 attempts for 282 yards and three touchdowns in the school's 54-17 win over ECU.

Evans added another 97 yards and a score on the ground, including a 55 yard touchdown run that featured multiple broken tackles. Evans has thrown for at least three touchdowns in three of four games so far this season. The JUCO transfer is putting together a very solid first season.
