Washington junior TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has already served his one day of prison, according to the Renton Reporter.

Seferian-Jenkins was scheduled to serve 24 hours behind bars on July 31, but the tight end has apparently completed his sentence. Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian has not punished Seferian-Jenkins yet, so the junior could still miss some on-field action.

Clemson freshman RB Travis Etienne rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries in Saturday's 34-7 victory over Boston College.

The Tigers entered the fourth quarter tied 7-7 with the Eagles, but they pounced from there, scoring 27 points in the last stanza. Etienne had two of the four fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a 50-yard scoring scamper. He and sophomore RB Tavien Feaster have completely usurped the veteran C.J. Fuller (one carry today). While Feaster had only 73 yards on his 20 carries, Etienne continued to prove that he's the Tigers' most explosive back. The true freshman has averaged over 10.0 YPC in each of the three games he's played in. On the year, in only 23 carries, he's rushed for 292 yards and four touchdowns. That's 12.69 YPC, folks. Expect more carries going forward.
Sep 23 - 7:22 PM

TCU sophomore RB Darius Anderson rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in Saturday's 44-31 upset of Oklahoma State.

Anderson (5'11/205) had the starting gig to himself in this one, as Kyle Hicks sat due to an undisclosed injury concern. He more than carried the weight of the expanded workload, averaging 6.15 YPC in the victory. He scored in each of the final three quarters of the game, with his breakaway 42-yard touchdown with 2:45 remaining essentially putting the contest to rest after Oklahoma State had drawn to within six points. Anderson has posted a stellar 422 yards rushing and six touchdowns in four games. The 4-0 Horned Frogs will be off on bye next weekend, with a home showdown against West Virginia set for the following Saturday.
Sep 23 - 7:22 PM

LSU junior RB Derrius Guice (knee) is in pads and warming up in advance of Saturday's game against Syracuse.

Guice was initially ruled out midway through the practice week, but he was medically cleared for action on Thursday. LSU HC Ed Orgeron said that he will be seeing limited reps in the contest, meaning Darrel Williams should see his fair share of carries versus the Orange.
Sep 23 - 7:07 PM

UNC redshirt sophomore WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams had five catches for 125 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-17 loss to Duke.

Ratliff-Williams' breakout game is something to pay attention to. In short order, he ascended to go-to status with Thomas Jackson out for the year, Dazz Newsome injured for this one, Austin Proehl knocked out with a broken collarbone on Saturday and Rontavius Groves carted off the field shortly thereafter. Ratliff-Williams (6'1/205), a converted quarterback, could be heavily targeted over the next few weeks if his friends remain in the trainer's room.
Sep 23 - 7:03 PM

Alabama junior RB Damien Harris ran for 151 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 59-0 route of Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Harris (5'11/214) once again split carries with Bo Scarbrough, and while Scarbrough played well, it was Harris who was the star of the game, gashing the Vanderbilt defense time after time. His first touchdown was 61-yard burst through the Commodore front seven, and he added two more two-yard plunges to complete his day. The Crimson Tide are loaded with talented runners, but Harris is as talented as any of them, as he showed on Saturday.
Sep 23 - 6:52 PM

Louisiana Tech redshirt junior WR Teddy Veal had 10 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-16 loss to South Carolina.

Now that's more like it. Veal had only three catches apiece in the first two games, but he's exploded for a 19-188-1 line over the past two games. We called for Veal to break out over the summer, and you should expect him to keep trending upward as the season moves forward. The Tulane transfer has recaptured the chemistry he had with QB J'Mar Smith in the spring.
Sep 23 - 6:44 PM

Middle Tennessee redshirt junior QB Brent Stockstill (sternum/collarbone) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Bowling Green.

Stockstill did not start against Minnesota last weekend and has been ruled out once more for Saturday. He is on the mend from a cracked sternum and separated collarbone. John Urzua will start in his place against the Falcons.
Sep 23 - 5:40 PM

Middle Tennessee junior WR Richie James (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Bowling Green.

James injured his ankle in a loss to Minnesota last weekend. He was encased in a boot during the practice week and the Blue Raiders have opted to give him Saturday off to continue to rest up the injury concern. There is no current timetable for his return.
Sep 23 - 5:37 PM

North Carolina senior WR Austin Proehl suffered a broken collarbone in Saturday's game against Duke.

Proehl broke the collarbone while hauling in a 47-yard pass in the first half. This will almost certainly sideline him for an extended period of time, though not necessarily for the entirety of the season. A timetable for his return should be established in the coming days. It's a major loss for UNC.
Sep 23 - 4:50 PM

Arkansas senior WR Jared Cornelius has been diagnosed with a potentially serious Achilles injury.

Cornelius sustained the Achilles injury in the third quarter of Saturday's overtime loss to Texas A&M. After the game, Arkansas HC Bret Bielema said that it "doesn't look good." If the senior wideout is dealing with a tear, that would end his season. Expect clarification as to his status moving forward in the coming days.

Sep 23 - 4:37 PM

Texas A&M freshman QB Kellen Mond completed 14-of-27 passes for 216 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a 50-43 overtime victory over Arkansas on Saturday.

As a thrower, Mond was up-and-down, making a few incredible throws and making a few head-scratching decisions (the interception was forced into blanket double coverage, for instance). But as a runner, he was consistently dynamite, accruing 109 ground yards on 10 carries. The 6-foot-3, 199-pounder remains extremely raw, but he proved today that he's able to beat a solid SEC foe away from home (this one was played on a neutral site in Jerry's World).
