Pittsburgh has suspended junior DT Khaynin Mosley-Smith for the season after an offseason arrest for drug paraphernalia.

Mosley-Smith was expected to contribute in a rotational role along the interior of the Panthers' defensive line. Specifically, the junior was expected to backup Tyrone Ezell who plays next to Aaron Donald. Mosley-Smith performed community service and had the initial charge dropped, but head coach Paul Chryst decided to carry the suspension over.

Arizona State HC Todd Graham said redshirt junior WR Jaelen Strong hasn't made up his mind about the NFL draft.

"Give guys a chance to make a decision. No one's made a decision to do anything. Everybody's assuming somebody's going to go," Graham said. Sorry, Coach, but we also think Strong is headed to the NFL. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder has hauled in 75 receptions for 1,062 yards and ten touchdowns this season. ESPN's Mel Kiper recently wrote that Strong "is a second-round pick who could become a late first if he runs well."

Florida sophomore CB Vernon Hargreaves III was "the top cornerback in college football this year, and shares similar qualities to Darrelle Revis," wrote Scout Inc.'s Steve Muench and Kevin Weidl.

Hargreaves ranks No. 3 on the pair's non-draft eligible rankings. "He is a smooth athlete who possesses adequate size and shows great balance to mirror receivers when locked up in man coverage," they wrote. "The sophomore also has outstanding instincts and anticipation that allow him to be a playmaker (24 pass breakups and 5 interceptions in his career). While he can continue to clean up his technique as a tackler, he is willing and aggressive in run support."'s Daniel Jeremiah compares Hargreaves to Joe Haden. Mr. Hargreaves will be mighty popular come this time next year.

Michigan State junior CB Trae Waynes is expected to declare for the draft and has met with potential agents, according to Yahoo! Sports.

"He is collectively projected by draftniks as either a first-round or early second-round pick," wrote Rand Getlin. The 6-foot-1, 178-pounder, who is able to jockey with receivers down the field in a way that shorter corners are sometimes physically unable to do, is rated as one of the class' best cover men. Michigan State plays Baylor on Jan. 1 in the Cotton Bowl. The deadline for underclassmen to declare early is Jan. 15.

Baylor redshirt junior edge rusher Shawn Oakman is "strongly considering entering the 2015 NFL draft," according to Yahoo! Sports.

"Oakman, a redshirt junior, hasn’t made any official declarations about his intentions, but he has begun conducting interviews with agents and other professional service providers," wrote the website's Rand Getlin. The 6-foot-8, 275-pound Oakman leads Baylor with 10 sacks. He's also collected 18.5 tackles for loss in 12 games. Oakman is a controversial prospect, but we'd be rather surprised if an organization didn't pull the trigger on his limitless upside at some point in Round 1.

The Gainesville Sun reports that Florida senior T D.J. Humphries will declare for the 2015 NFL Draft.

Humphries hasn't publicly confirmed this report, though at least one teammate has tweeted confirmation, and we know the big tackle had sought feedback from the NFL’s draft advisory board. Humphries, a top-20 recruit in 2012, is a tool-shed of a prospect who has struggled to remain healthy during his career. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder played in only 17 of 24 games the past two seasons.

Oregon senior CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (knee) has a $3 million loss of value insurance policy.

Ekpre-Olomu suffered what the media is calling a "serious knee injury" during Tuesday's practice, though the specific nature of that injury has not yet been disclosed. We do know, however, that it has ruled him out for the rest of the season. The insurance policy was paid for by the University of Oregon. If the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Ekpre-Olomu slips in the draft due to the injury, he will start collecting money at the beginning of Round 2. If he falls past the beginning of Round 3, he would receive all $3 million.

An SEC offensive coach compared Missouri redshirt junior edge rusher Shane Ray to Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs.

"When you study Ray on tape, you see a lot of the same qualities Suggs had as a pass rusher coming out of college," the coach told "He can really turn that corner sharply." It's been reported that Ray is likely to declare early for the draft. When he does, he'll likely hear his name called in the top 10. "While Missouri has been the home of 'try hard' defensive ends like Kony Ealy, Michael Sam and now Markus Golden, Ray can win with explosiveness and athleticism more frequently than the aforementioned ends," wrote's Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks, Charles Davis and Lance Zierlein. "Evaluators love Ray's play demeanor and his ability to win around the corner or with inside moves while still being able to handle himself against the run."

An NFC East scout said former Washington junior CB Marcus Peters is the "best cover corner prospect I've seen in the last 14 years."

Fourteen years ago, Champ Bailey, the 12-time Pro Bowler, entered the NFL, so that should tell you how good this scout believes Peters is. While nobody questions Peters' on-field ability, some teams may not want to bother with him. An NFL scout recently revealed Peters attempted to strangle a coach on the sidelines prior to getting booted off the team. "Try selling that to your head coach," the scout said. It was announced earlier this week that Peters will enter the draft. It's essential that he ace his pre-draft interviews.

Boise State submitted redshirt junior RB Jay Ajayi's evaluation request to the NFL College Advisory Board.

Broncos HC Bryan Hardin said Ajayi is expected to decide before the Fiesta Bowl whether he'll enter the draft. That announcement could come on Dec. 27, when the BSU offense holds a press conference in anticipation of its game against Arizona later that week. "We need to really hash all that out," Hardin said. "We’ll let everybody know when it’s the right time. We’ll do it before the bowl game. We’re not going to do it after the bowl game. When his decision is made, then we’ll let everyone know that, but it will be before the bowl game, before we get down there and not after." Ajayi has rushed for 1,689 yards and 25 scores this season, and caught 45 balls for 536 yards and four touchdowns. He could go as high as Round 2.

Yahoo! Sports reports Missouri redshirt junior edge rusher Shane Ray is "strongly considering" jumping to the NFL.

We'd expect nothing less, as Ray is a favorite to go in the top 10. "Sources indicate his mother, Sebrina Johnson, is in the process of setting up and conducting meetings with agents and vetting potential representatives," reported Rand Getlin. Ray has produced 14 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss this season and was voted first-team All-American and SEC defensive player of the year by the Associated Press. Missouri ends its season in the Citrus Bowl against Minnesota on Jan. 1.

Maryland junior WR Stefon Diggs hasn't decided if he'll enter the NFL Draft, coach Randy Edsall said Wednesday.

Edsall told the media that he's submitted Diggs' information to the NFL advisory board, and "made calls to several general managers and college scouting directors to inquire about Diggs," according to the Washington Post. "Once we get the information back from the NFL, I’m going to sit down with his mom and him and go over all of the information that I have and present it to them. I’ll give them my opinion, and then ultimately Stefon and his family have to make the decision that they feel would be the best for him," Edsall said. Diggs currently has 52 catches for 654 yards and five touchdowns. The Maryland wideout has missed the past three games, the first because of suspension and the other two after suffering a lacerated kidney. Diggs has "been chomping at the bit" to return in the Foster Farms Bowl against Stanford on Dec. 30, Edsall said. Diggs grades out as a mid-round pick.
