Louisville junior QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 23 of 32 attempts for 397 yards and four touchdowns against Eastern Washington.

It was another studly performance from Bridgewater, who displayed great pocket movement and poise in tight spaces. Teams will absolutely love his consistency. Louisville faces Kentucky next week, but expect to hear plenty of questions regarding Bridgewater's lever of competition despite facing talented defenses in the past.

The Idaho Statesman's Dave Southorn reports that redshirt sophomore LB Marquis Hendrix and redshirt sophomore freshman CB Donzale Roddie have been expelled due to a Title IX sexual misconduct investigation.

These expulsions have been confirmed by the players' families. Redshirt freshman S Darreon Jackson has also been suspended for one year. The misconduct investigation was launched last fall after a female student told Title IX Director of Compliance Annie Kerrick that the three players forced her to perform oral sex. Jack Hendrix, father of Marquis, went on an ugly rant to the Statesman regarding the expulsion, saying, "There are some promiscuous young ladies hiding behind Title IX, and there’s a vendetta against football by those investigators. There was no police investigation, or no repercussions for her actions."

Four-star 2017 TE Kendrick James decommited from Baylor.

"Due to the departure of Coach Briles," James wrote on Twitter, "I'd like to open my recruiting and decommit from Baylor." This comes just hours after Baylor announced Briles' firing. The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder out of Waco had himself an easy hometown decision with the Bears initially, but that is out the window now. He had previously received offers from Arkansas, Illinois and Miami (among others). James is the first Bears commitment to back out. Others could follow in the coming days.

Conflicting reports emerged as to whether Auburn junior RB Roc Thomas will transfer.

Auburnsports.com's Jay G. Tate had reported that Thomas would transfer to Jacksonville State, but Brandon Marcello of SEC Country hears that the 5-foot-11, 202-pounder has not even made a request for a transfer. A former five-star recruit, Thomas rushed for 261 yards and a touchdown last season. Auburn RB coach Tim Horton spoke highly of his work this spring. Stay tuned.

Baylor announced the firing of HC Art Briles, the probation of AD Ian McCaw and the removal of Kenn Starr as school president.

Anybody expecting a quiet Memorial Day weekend in Waco will have to adjust their expectations. Following the review of a report by the law firm Pepper Hamilton regarding the hostile environment at Baylor, wholesale changes will be made. With Briles' firing -- technically, he has been "suspended indefinitely with intent to terminate according to contractual procedures" -- Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde has reported that DC Phil Bennett will take over as interim head coach. The university has yet to confirm that. As for what has been confirmed, Starr will be removed as school president effective May 31. Baylor's release indicated that he will remain with the university as part of the law school. Former dean David Garland will serve as interim president until a replacement can be found. Further fallout from this earth-shaking news should continue over the coming days.

Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde reports that Baylor will name DC Phil Bennett interim head coach following the expected firing of HC Art Briles.

Bennett is in his fifth year as Baylor's defensive coordinator. Prior to joining the Bears in 2011, he had spent his previous three seasons as the DC at Pittsburgh. Further word should surface as to potential permanent replacements for Briles as the day unfolds. He lost his job in the wake of a slew of sexual assault accusations against multiple former football players.

WNML’s Jimmy Hyams reports that Tennessee sophomore RB Joe Young's career is in jeopardy following a serious neck injury suffered in spring practice.

Earlier this month, HC Butch Jones said Young would serve as a student coach for a while as he healed. It appears Young's prognosis was not as promising as first anticipated. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Young, who was a three-star prospect, appeared in five games and rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries last year.

FSU HC Jimbo Fisher believes redshirt senior QB Sean Maguire (ankle) will be fully healthy by the end of the summer.

"He's back to 50 percent on the treadmill, running real hard," Fisher said. "Starting to do drops already. Hopefully by June, middle of June, he'll be going full speed." Maguire fractured his left ankle in the New Year's Eve Peach Bowl loss to Houston. Assuming he's ready for camp, Maguire will battle redshirt freshman Deondre Francois for the starting job.

247Sports' Ryan Bartow reports that former Alabama junior T Charles Baldwin is visiting Louisville on Wednesday.

Baldwin was dismissed from Alabama earlier in May due to a "violation of unspecified team rules." The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder ranked as ESPN's No. 1 JUCO prospect when he initially signed with Alabama in February. In addition to Wednesday's visit to Louisville -- Baldwin is hoping the trip results in an offer -- he also reportedly visited Temple last week.

Four-star 2017 RB Cam Akers released a list of the top 10 finalists for his commitment.

Mississippi native Akers included six SEC programs on his list, with Alabama (he had actually committed to Bama before nixing it in early March), LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee making the cut. Ohio State, Michigan, FSU and Cal round out the 5-foot-11, 210-pounder's finalists. He is set for a visit to Georgia this weekend. Scout.com's Chad Simmons has described him as the "complete package," while Rivals ranks him as their No. 2 RB recruit in the country.

Miami head coach Mark Richt plans to donate $1 million of his own money to help the school build an indoor practice facility.

The facility is apparently No. 1 on Miami's priority list, and it makes sense as Miami's pro day this spring was nearly ruined by rain. The entire project, not just this facility, will reportedly cost around $20 million, and Miami is currently one of the only top programs without this kind of facility. We are struggling to remember a coach donating this amount of money before coaching his first game with the program. Granted, Richt did play for Miami.
