Pittsburgh redshirt senior QB Tom Savage is expected to play against Virginia Tech on October 12 despite suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

Savage took a helmet to helmet hit in the fourth quarter against Virginia and was forced to leave the game. The quarterback has "mild symptoms," according to a team spokesman. Savage is completing 58.7 percent of his passes for 1,052 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Florida junior CB Teez Tabor left Saturday's game against Tennessee due to an apparent injury.

Tabor was banged up on a run by Tennessee's Jalen Hurd in the third quarter. He was able to walk off the field with little assistance and subsequently went into the locker room. His status for rest of the game is uncertain at this juncture.

Oregon junior RB Royce Freeman (leg) will not start Saturday's game against Colorado.

Freeman suffered a right leg injury in the first half of Saturday's loss to Nebraska. He wore a walking boot early in the practice week and while he is participating in light pregame warm-ups, he won't be starting. If he does see the field, expect a relatively limited workload. This injury isn't expected to sideline Freeman long term. Kani Benoit will start in his place against Colorado.

Syracuse redshirt senior WR Amba Etta-Tawo caught 12 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 31-24 victory over UConn.

This is getting a little ridiculous, guys. Steve Ishmael was expected to be thriving in the No. 1 role this fall. If not him, then perhaps Brisley Estime. Instead, it's been Etta-Tawo, who was no better than a forgotten secondary option at Maryland over the past three years. You think the Terps would like him back now? With 40 catches for 706 yards and five touchdowns, Etta-Tawo has already easily surpassed his career-highs in all three categories. He has at least eight games left to play.
Sep 24 - 4:48 PM

Virginia Tech junior QB Jerod Evans completed 13 of 20 attempts for 282 yards and three touchdowns in the school's 54-17 win over ECU.

Evans added another 97 yards and a score on the ground, including a 55 yard touchdown run that featured multiple broken tackles. Evans has thrown for at least three touchdowns in three of four games so far this season. The JUCO transfer is putting together a very solid first season.

Cincinnati sophomore QB Hayden Moore (undisclosed) is not playing against Miami (OH) on Saturday.

Moore's exact injury is unknown, but he was battered by Houston in last Thursday's loss. Redshirt freshman Ross Trail is starting in his place against the Redhawks, with Gunner Kiel earning backup honors. The coming practice week should provide more clarity as to whether the 6-foot-3, 203-pound Moore will be able to play against South Florida next Saturday.
Sep 24 - 4:11 PM

Georgia junior RB Nick Chubb left Saturday's game with a sprained ankle after taking 12 carries for 57 yards in the school's 45-17 loss to Ole Miss.

Who knows how significant the sprain is, and Chubb exited when Ole Miss already had a large lead on the scoreboard. The Bulldogs used four running backs in this game, and will likely continue to use at least three in each game moving forward. Chubb's rebound from major leg injuries last year has been very impressive.
Sep 24 - 4:06 PM

FSU junior RB Dalvin Cook went off in Saturday's 55-35 victory over USF, rushing for a career-high 267 yards and two touchdown on 28 carries.

He averaged 9.5 yards per carry in his third 200-yard rushing effort. And oh, that's not all folks. Cook also had four receptions for 62 yards through the air. FSU's next-most productive receiver had 2-40. Cook entered today with only 228 yards and two touchdowns through three games. He started early, scampering for a 75-yard touchdown on the Seminoles' first snap of the afternoon. When a healthy Cook gets going, perhaps no back in the nation is more dangerous.
Sep 24 - 3:54 PM

Ole Miss redshirt senior Chad Kelly completed 18 of 24 attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns in the school's 45-14 win over Georgia.

Kelly added another 41-yard rushing touchdown, Ole Miss' final score of the game. This was an absolute beatdown, and the good Chad Kelly showing up was a major reason why. Ole Miss will have a height and physical advantage on the outside over every opponent, and Kelly tends to take advantage with lobs, back shoulder fades and throws with positioning advantages. Kelly seems to be a momentum passer; if things click early, Ole Miss' offense can be difficult to slow down.
Sep 24 - 3:46 PM

Wisconsin senior RB Corey Clement was limited to 54 yards on 23 carries in the school's 30-6 win over Michigan State, but did find the endzone twice.

Clement dealt with an ankle injury earlier in the year, however, Wisconsin seemed confident in his health while giving him the rock 23 times. Dare Ogunbowle actually outrushed Clement on just nine carries, so that is a note worth monitoring. 22 of Clement's 54 yards were earned on a single carry.
Sep 24 - 3:13 PM

Rutgers WR Janarion Grant was carted off the field with a possible serious injury leg injury in Saturday's game against Iowa.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wideout was injured on a 76-yard play that nearly reached the end zone. He took a screen pass from Chris Laviano to the Iowa 3-yard line, with his right leg stepped on by cornerback Desmond King at the end of the run. Grant is on the sideline with his right leg heavily wrapped. If he misses time, Rutgers loses its only playmaker. Grant leads the Big Ten in all-purpose yardage with 562. He returns kicks, plays a mean receiver and serves as a Wildcat quarterback.

Marshall sophomore QB Chase Litton (concussion) was ruled out for Saturday's game against Louisville.

After suffering a concussion in last week's loss to Akron, Litton was not cleared by the school's medical staff. This is a devastating development for the four-TD underdog. The 6-foot-6 Litton has thrown for 722 yards and 10 scores across two games. Litton finished with 2,605 yards passing and a 23/8 TD/INT rate last year. Freshman QB Garet Morrell has his work cut out for him.
