High school DE Myles Garrett, the No. 7 ranked recruit on the ESPN 300, committed to Texas A&M on Friday.
"[The Aggies] are definitely going up [in the SEC]," Garrett said. "Right now, they are lacking some pass rush. That's all they really need to complete their team." The 6-foot-5, 247-pounder's sister, Brea Garrett, is on the Aggies' track and field team. Garrett chose TAMU over Alabama, Ohio State, TCU and Florida State, amongst others. The precocious prospect has already collected 15 sacks this season in high school. "Right now, he is unblockable," coach Bob Wager said. "We've had some great players here that have wrecked havoc and done some great things here, but Myles Garrett is so quick off the ball. He is so explosive, and he is elevating everyone's play around him."
