Yahoo! Sports' Rand Getlin cites multiple sources who say Florida State junior RB Devonta Freeman is seriously considering entering the 2014 NFL Draft.

After the national championship game Freeman told reporters "I accomplished everything I wanted to [here]... I want to continue to do more." The Seminoles had a talented backfield, but our own Josh Norris thinks Freeman and Karlos Williams were the best of the bunch. Norris adds that Freeman has some Ahmad Bradshaw in his game, thanks to an aggressive running style and pass protection skills.

UCLA junior CB Ishmael Adams was arrested on a robbery charge on campus, according to Daily Bruin Sports.

Florida senior LB Antonio Morrison has been listed as the starting middle linebacker on the team's depth chart.

While Morrison led the Gators with 101 tackles last season, he suffered a catastrophic knee injury during the Belk Bowl which required a pair of surgeries. The team limited him to non-contact drills in preseason camp. HC Jim McElwain elaborated on the 6-foot-1, 218-pound senior's progress, saying that "it obviously won’t be one of those deals where he’s playing 80 or 90 plays, but at the same time, he’s prepared himself and he’s ready to play and we’ll have a plan for that." When healthy, Morrison's ability to stick and commit stands out. Last season, he tallied just five missed/broken tackles.

FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said there will be "no limitations" for sophomore RB Dalvin Cook in the season opener against Texas State.

Cook missed a large amount of preseason camp while in court, but immediately re-joined the team and the first unit once being found not guilty of misdemeanor battery charges. FSU did not really let Cook loose until the final four games of the season. Cook's 1,008 rushing yards were good for 52 percent of the school's total.

Texas head coach Charlie Strong named junior Tyrone Swoopes the school's starting QB.

Strong indicated as much one week ago, but added Jerrod Heard will also play. Swoopes was not impressive last season. Perhaps there were moments, but overall Swoopes did not elevate the team with his play. A 13:11 touchdown to interception ratio, less than 60 completion percentage and a 6.27 yards per attempt tells part of the story. The pressure could grow a bit more in the second year under Charlie Strong, but the feeling is the head coach is building something positive and patience is necessary.

Montana redshirt junior QB Brady Gustafson completed 30 of 55 attempts for 434 yards and a touchdown in the school's 38-35 upset of North Dakota State.

It was a heck of a debut for Gustafson and head coach Bob Stitt, who deployed unique personnel, formations, combinations and spacing in his first game as head coach of a FCS program. WVU's Dana Holgorsen has previously praised Stitt, and admittedly learned from him, but Gustafson was the one who directed the machine. The redshirt junior had barely played in previous seasons and flashed great promise in the opening game of the 2015 season.

Six of TCU senior WR Josh Doctson's eight red zone receptions ended in touchdowns during the 2014 season, according to CFB Film Room.

Doctson caught 20 total touchdowns last season on 63 grabs with no drops. He and quarterback Trevone Boykin have excellent chemistry and play off each other's strengths. Doctson, however, has dealt with offseason injuries, including a broken hand during the spring and an undisclosed injury as of late.

Toledo suspended junior RB Kareem Hunt and senior DE Allen Covington for the first two games of the season for a violation of team rules.

The two games are against Stony Brook and Arkansas. It is a bummer fans won't be able to see Hunt run against an SEC defense in, arguably, Toledo's biggest game of the season. Hunt absolutely wins out in space and flashes success between the tackles in tighter spaces. As a sophomore, Hunt rushed for 1,631 yards (8.0 yards per carry) and 16 touchdowns. He made up 49 percent of Toledo's rushing yards last season. Covington is a starter on the defensive side.

USC sophomore Adoree' Jackson is listed as a starting CB and second team WR on the Trojans' depth chart.

Jackson has split practice reps at receiver and corner. He has more game experience at corner, but coaches cannot get over how impactful he can be on offense, and who can blame them. Of the 10 passes he caught last season, Jackson scored three times. The star sophomore should see the field in all three phases of the game.

Texas Tech beat writer Don Williams expects sophomore Patrick Mahomes to "get the nod" as the starting QB over Davis Webb Jr. against Sam Houston State.

In July, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he wanted to name a starting quarterback as soon as possible. Here we are, week one, and TTU is still without a starter. Beat writer on Williams notes the decision could be withheld until the first offensive snap. Mahomes started four games last season, throwing 16 touchdowns compared to four interceptions.

Miami junior RB Gus Edwards will miss the entire 2015 season due to a foot injury.

Edwards was expected to be the Yin to Joe Yearby's Yang (quickness). Foot injuries are never good news for big backs, and Edwards is listed around 230 lbs. Freshman Mark Walton could see more time now. Edwards' injury was once considered "day-to-day."

During Montana's 38-35 win over North Dakota State on Saturday, CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler tweeted that Montana senior WR Jamaal Jones "attacks the ball w/ strong hands and body control."

Jones caught eight passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in Montana's dramatic win, which kicked off the unofficial start of the college football season. Brugler tweeted that the 6-foot-1, 191-pound senior--he's the team's top NFL prospect--was "impressive." Montana's had a history of pumping out draft talent. Since 2000, the school has had more players (10) plucked for the next level than any other non-FBS school. Last season, Jones made 67 catches for 1,044 yards and eight scores.
