Ohio State junior QB Braxton Miller will return to school for his senior season, according to his father.

Miller's meeting with Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer on Thursday went well, so he informed the coach that he'll be sticking around for another campaign. Although Miller missed almost three full games due to a sprained knee, he threw for 2,094 yards and ran for 1,068 yards in 2013. The Columbus Dispatch reported that Miller was given a mid- to late-round selection from the NFL's advisory board.

Notre Dame junior G Nick Martin will return to school for the 2015 season.

"I’m coming back to Notre Dame, there’s no doubt about that," Martin said, adding it was a "simple decision." Martin, Zack's younger brother, asked for an evaluation from the draft advisory board.

Duke senior WR Jamison Crowder caught seven passes for 102 yards and returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown in the school's 36-31 loss to Arizona State.

Crowder makes plays from multiple alignments: out wide, in the slot and as a returner thanks to agility and body control. He could put on a show in Mobile at the Senior Bowl thanks to precise route running. Still, the earliest we expect him to be drafted is the second day.

Jason Cole cites two 49ers staff members and one other NFL source who say Jim Harbaugh will accept a six-year, $48 million contract to become Michigan's next HC.

Pardon us for going ahead and placing Harbaugh's name in a Michigan shell, but we thought it was better than using Brady Hoke's. "That's what everybody on staff believes is going to happen this week," one of Cole's sources said. "Jim has figured out that his style is best-suited for the college game. His shtick works better with young guys who are gone after three or four years." It had previously been reported that Harbaugh's management will meet with Michigan and Raiders officials as soon as the season is over, which is Sunday. Harbaugh has collegiate coaching experience at Stanford and San Diego.

Arizona State redshirt junior WR Jaelen Strong caught seven passes for 103 yards in the school's 36-31 win over Duke.

It was Strong's final collegiate performance, and some believe he is due for a top 50 selection. Strong's name is apt, as one of his bets traits is winning in contested situations. The Combine will also be a meaningful event for Strong's evaluation.

Cincinnati redshirt sophomore QB Gunner Kiel suffered an apparent head injury and will miss the remainder of the game against Virginia Tech.

Prior to leaving, Kiel completed 14 of 26 attempts for 244 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, barely missing a few other gains. Kiel took a sack and his head hit the turf hard, and he will almost certainly not return. Cincy is already without Munchie Legaux, so senior Michael Colosimo will finish this game. Kiel has been injured on multiple occasions this season.

Florida senior QB Jeff Driskel is exploring a possible graduate transfer to Duke, according to Laura Keeley.

Driskel is considering multiple schools, so it is not as if Duke is the only option. He would be able to play immediately. After two poor season, Driskel has lost more and more playing time and most recently was overtaken by Treon Harris. Driskel's previous competition, Jacoby Brissett, transferred to NC State a few offseasons ago. Duke's current starter, Anthony Boone, is set to graduate.

Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly told reporters he has still not determined who will start at QB for the school's bowl game against LSU.

"Both are getting quality reps. I probably have to make it here in the next 24 hours," Kelly explained. "They’re both going to play, and I’m just going to have to just get a feel for it and the flow of the game." Notre Dame faces the Tigers on tuesday, Dec. 30. Everett Golson was the school's starter all season long, but Kelly frequently commented on the number of turnovers Golson contributed to and inserted Malik Zaire in the blowout loss to USC.

Minnesota redshirt sophomore TE Maxx Williams will declare for the NFL draft, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

"Barring an injury in the Citrus Bowl vs. Missouri, an official announcement is expected soon thereafter," Wolfson writes, adding Williams and his family are already in talks with agents. Tight end might be the least talented position in the 2015 class, and Wolfson notes the "expectation is that Williams can go as high as the late first or second round." The latter end of the expectation might be his actual ceiling.

NC State redshirt junior QB Jacoby Brissett completed 15 of 26 attempts for 262 yards and one touchdown in the school's 34-27 win over UCF.

Brissett added another 31 rushing yards, and one 11 yard run showcased the quarterback's ability to manage the pocket and pick up yards with his feet. With that said, Brissett can definitely improve in terms of timing his targets to make the most of windows and placement to lead receivers to yards after the catch. Brissett does have another offseason before testing NFL waters after next season.

Georgia junior RB Todd Gurley will declare for the 2015 NFL Draft, confirmed HC Mark Richt.

Even with a torn ACL, we still rank Gurley as the No. 1 RB in the class. He's one of the most physically gifted backs to enter the NFL in the last decade, combining outstanding vision, footwork, speed and power. He's fast enough to hit home runs, powerful enough to run through arm tackles, and skilled enough to wait on his blockers when a screen is called. Gurley averaged 6.4 yards per run in college. The 6-foot-1, 236-pounder suffered his knee injury in November. He might be ready by Week 1.

West Virginia redshirt senior QB Clint Trickett is retiring from football due to concussions and will not play in the school's bowl game.

Trickett told the media he has suffered five concussions in the past 14 months, hiding two from trainers. Sophomore Skyler Howard should start in his place. Trickett was previously cleared to practice, but a recent update said he had not been cleared to play. The quarterback started his career at FSU before transferring to West Virginia.
