TCU beat writer Mac Engel has been told by multiple NFL sources that QB Casey Pachall has not been invited to the Combine.

"There is a chance, however slim, Pachall may still score an invite but it's a long shot," Engel writes. The quarterback showed promise back in 2011, but missed a majority of the 2012 season due to off-field issues. He had a down senior year and injuries did not help his case.

LSU HC Ed Orgeron ruled junior RB Derrius Guice (knee) out for Saturday’s game against Troy.

Orgeron initially ruled out Guice for the Syracuse game over the weekend, but he reversed course. That was probably a mistake. Guice looked sluggish (14 yards and a touchdown on eight carries) as Darrel Williams functioned as the lead back. Williams will start until Guice returns.

Nine suspended Florida Gator players face multiple third-degree felony charges over alleged credit card fraud.

Star wide receiver Antonio Callaway and starting tailback Jordan Scarlett are the biggest names of the nine. Along with DLs Keivonnis Davis and Richerd Desir-Jones, LBs James Houston IV and Ventrell Miller and WR Rick Wells, Callaway and Scarlett face two third-degree felonies, one for fraud/swindle in obtaining property under $20,000 and the other for use or possession of another person's ID without consent. DL Jordan Smith faces those plus three additional felony counts. Freshman OT Kadeem Telfort, meanwhile, faces a bevy of third-degree felony charges in two separate complaints. According to affidavits, the players used stolen credit card numbers to add money to their UF bookstore accounts in order to purchase laptops, iPads and Beats headphones and speakers. To this point, none of the players has been criminally charged. All are on indefinite suspension. The Gators host Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Washington junior WR Chico McClatcher will miss the remainder of the year with a broken ankle.

The Huskies' starting slot receiver and No. 2 receiver suffered the injury against Colorado on Saturday while blocking on a run play in the third quarter. He finishes the season with 10 catches for 128 yards. Because he only appeared in three games this year (McClatcher missed the Fresno State game on Sept. 16 with a different injury), McClatcher is likely eligible for a medical redshirt waiver. The cut-off is three games or 30-percent of your team's games. HC Chris Peterson sounded confident in McClatcher's odds of qualifying for the waiver.

Arkansas senior WR Jared Cornelius (Achillies) will miss the remainder of the season.

Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema made the announcement on Monday. Cornelius was carted off the playing field in the third quarter of Saturday's 50-43 overtime loss to Texas A&M. He'll have surgery this week. Bielema believes it's possible that Cornelius could return to the program next season. That would require a medical hardship waiver. Expect Jonathan Nance to assume Cornelius' former post of WR1 in Arkansas' offense.

Baylor HC Matt Rhule expects redshirt sophomore RB JaMycal Hasty (knee) to return for the Oklahoma State game on Oct. 14.

That would mean that he'll miss only one more game. Baylor takes on Kansas State this weekend before getting a much-needed bye. The Bears got Terence Williams back from injury last week. Williams and John Lovett will divvy carries again this weekend against the Wildcats.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum reports that Florida redshirt senior QB Luke Del Rio will start Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.

On Saturday, trailing Kentucky 24-14 late in the third quarter, HC Jim McElwain replaced Feleipe Franks with Del Rio. Down 27-14 in the fourth, the Gators got within a touchdown on Brandon Powell's six-yard touchdown run with 7:58 left, and then Del Rio hit Freddie Swain with a five-yard touchdown pass to stun Kentucky with 43 seconds left. Del Rio completed 9-of-14 passes for 74 yards, a touchdown and an interception in total.

Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh said that redshirt senior QB Wilton Speight has a "soft (tissue) issue."

Speight was sandwiched by two Purdue defenders in the first quarter of Saturday's win and was subsequently taken to an off-site locale for precautionary X-rays. Those X-rays came back free-and-clear of any evidence of structural damage, but there is no current timetable for Speight's return. Helping matters considerably, the Wolverines are off on bye this coming weekend. Should he be sidelined beyond that, John O'Korn -- who took over for him after the injury -- would start in his place.

ECU redshirt senior WR Davon Grayson caught 11 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 41-38 win over UConn.

The Huskies possess one of the worst secondaries in the country and Grayson readily took advantage. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder's highlight grab came on a 75-yard touchdown catch in the opening minutes of the third quarter. On the play in question, he hauled in the pass on the left sideline about 20 yards downfield, then made a Saquon Barkley-esque jump cut back to the right which caused two UConn defenders to collide while he raced to glory. Grayson has put in at least 75 yards receiving in three of four games this season, with Sunday's performance his first of the 100-yard variety (and the 200-yard variety, at that).

In the latest release of the AP Top-25 poll, TCU and Georgia saw rises to Nos. 9 and 7, respectively.

Georgia is up from No. 11 and TCU up from No. 16 thanks to respective wins over Mississippi State and Oklahoma State. A casualty of these rises came in the form of Ohio State, with the Buckeyes being knocked from No. 10 to No. 11. Elsewhere in poll excitement, two new faces joined the fray on Sunday, with West Virginia and Notre Dame slotting in at Nos. 23 and 22, respectively.

In the latest release of the Amway Coaches Poll, Georgia moved from No. 12 to No. 8.

No changes at the top, as Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Penn State all retained spot Nos. 1-4, respectively. Further down, Georgia bumped up four spots to land in the top-10 courtesy of Saturday's dominating win over Mississippi State. TCU nearly joined them after their upset of Oklahoma State, but not quite, not quite -- the Horned Frogs moved up from No. 15 to No. 11. As for the biggest droppers, nobody took a harder hit than Florida State. The 0-2 Seminoles plummeted 14 spots to No. 25 following their loss to NC State and are now teetering on the edge of falling out of the poll altogether.

UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen completed 40-of-60 passes for 480 yards with three touchdowns and two picks in a 58-34 loss to Stanford on Saturday.

Rosen (6'4/218) continued to make the plays that have scouts salivating, and the same mistakes that leave them scratching their heads. He again struggled with pressure, and he threw several balls off of his back foot; one of which lead to a late pick that essentially clinched the game. There were good things on Saturday as well as seen in the yardage and touchdown, but this was a mixed effort from the UCLA signal-caller, and mixed might be too nice.
