ESPN's Mel Kiper believes LSU G Trai Turner is the best "under the radar" prospect in the trenches.

"Only 20 career starts... but you think about the last four games, he played every offensive snap for the bayou bengals," Kiper said. "Good player with a chance to be even better down the road." Turner was somewhat of a surprise entrant, but it is a strong possibility that he hears his name called in the third-round. The third day talent at guard is very lean.

The SEC has raised the first offense fine for a school rushing the field, moving it from $5,000 to $50,000, according to Brett McMurphy.

Expect schools to take more precaution to keep students and fans away from the field following games. This is obviously a large jump and it is likely filed under the "safety" classification.

Arizona State LB Davon Durant pled guilty on Thursday to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Durant, 247Sports.com's No. 6 JUCO recruit in the country and ESPN.com's top-ranked JUCO product, was arrested in March and charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. After the incident was initially reported, he was suspended indefinitely from the football team. Durant's girlfriend told police that he hit her in the face and grabbed her around the neck. Authorities noted a "small contusion and red mark beneath her left eye and several abrasions and bruising around her neck consistent with finger marks from being grabbed around the neck." The woman later recanted her story but witnesses backed up the initial story.

Eastern Kentucky DE Noah Spence, an Ohio State transfer, was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Spence apparently threw a glass bottle that broke across a roadway, according to an officer who approached the football player. Spence admitted to the action, was arrested for the charges and later released. EKU released a statement saying they will handle the matter internally. Oklahoma State graduate QB Daxx Garman will play the 2015 season for Maryland.

Garman played a significant number of snaps in nine game last season after J.W. Walsh went down with an injury. During that time he completed 152-of-277 passes for 2041 yards, with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Garman could absolutely compete for the starting gig with the Terps.

Oklahoma redshirt freshman QB Justice Hansen will transfer.

No destination was disclosed for the Oklahoma native. Hansen was a member of the 2014 class as a four star recruit and redshirted his first season. Hansen likely did not expect Baker Mayfield to join the Sooners, and those close to the program expect the TTU transfer to be named the 2015 starter. Hansen received a number of scholarships from high profile schools out of college.

NFL Media expects USC sophomore WR/CB/KR Adoree' Jackson to take over for 2015 first-round pick Nelson Agholor as the team's punt returner.

Jackson better spend this summer doing endless amounts of wind sprints on the beach, because the Trojans intend to rarely yank him off the field this fall. Jackson broke up 10 passes and caught 10 more as a receiver last year. The 5-foot-10, 182-pound Jackson, a five-star recruit, was the Pac-12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. "It remains to be seen whether his role on offense will expand, but if it does, he could be one of the five biggest stars in the Pac-12," wrote Chase Goodbread.

Fields' representatives failed to reach an agreement to dismiss his charge -- he allegedly hit an ex-girlfriend -- so he will now stand trial for it. The defensive end spent last year at Trinity Valley Community College after he was dismissed from TCU. He intends to enroll at Louisville in July.

BYU signed 2015 OL recruit Manase Tu'ungafasi, a 6'7/322 lbs rugby player from New Zealand.

"He is an excellent athlete with exceptional size coming from a rugby background..." BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said. Tu'ungafasi was selected to play for the 2014 Samoa Under-20 team at the Junior World Championships. Oregon State and Utah were also interested in signing the rugby player to their football recruiting class. BYU has as good a history of converting non-football players into legitimate prospects than anyone.
