NFL Films' Greg Cosell mentioned on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast that he spoke with a source who said Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater weighed 188 pounds at the end of the 2013 season.

This is absolutely the NFL's biggest question regarding Bridgewater, and some buzz has even placed him in the second-round as of late. Teams could be worried that Bridgewater's career could go in the path of early RGIII, in terms of injuries. The two are drastically different players in terms of style, with the main difference being RGIII has a frenetic behavior on the field while Bridgewater does not take unnecessary hits. With that said, Bridgewater breaks the mold of a pocket passer who might be maxed out at 6'2/214 pounds. The NFL has historically struggled with players that offer unique blends of frame and style.

Minnesota senior RB David Cobb tweeted that he would be ready to play next Saturday.

The full tweet was "all is well! I'll be ready to go next Saturday! Thanks." Cobb rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. He appeared to pull his hamstring on his 17-yard scoring scamper. While it's a good sign that Cobb's feeling confident, his status in practice this week will be something to keep an eye on as the Golden Gophers prepare for their meeting with Wisconsin.

Alabama junior WR Amari Cooper left Saturday's game against Western Carolina with a knee injury.

Cooper had caught three passes for 46 yards before he exited with a knee injury prior to the close of the first half. Alabama head coach Nick Saban indicated that Cooper could have come back into the game. Given that the halftime score was 38-14 against a vastly inferior team, the team could afford to let him sit with the injury. We'll update his status when more information becomes available.
Nov 22 - 6:06 PM

Stanford senior WR Ty Montgomery exited Saturday's game against Cal with a right shoulder injury.

Prior to leaving, Montgomery had one catch for 14 yards. Physicality with the ball in his hands is one of Montgomery's trademarks, and that will be difficult to do with a bum shoulder. Montgomery is at his best after the catch, as a ball carrier or on returns, but those might have to be manufactured touches early on once reaching the NFL.
Nov 22 - 5:47 PM

Pittsburgh sophomore RB James Conner will miss the remainder of the game against Syracuse with a hip injury.

Conner rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries before leaving. The running back has been the foundation of Pitt's offense all season long, and was even asked to play some defensive end at times.
Nov 22 - 5:35 PM

Penn State sophomore QB Christian Hackenberg completed 8 of 16 attempts for 93 yards and a touchdown in the school's 16-14 loss to Illinois.

Do we have to repeat ourselves? We have read some blaming the offensive line for Hackenberg's poor play this season while citing sack totals. That is not fair to the offensive line, as Hackenberg is the reason for so many of the sacks. It might not be a situation that many could succeed in, but right now Hackenberg is not one of them.
Nov 22 - 4:52 PM

Oklahoma freshman RB Samaje Perine rushed for 427 yards and five touchdowns on 34 carries, breaking Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon III's FBS record which was set last week.

Perine did not even start this game. Keith Ford did. In fact the game is still going on but Perine has been pulled. Gordon rushed for 408 yards last week, which broke a record set by LaDainian Tomlinson that had stood for over 10 years. Perine rushed for 213 yards last week, so he is having a pretty good month. Oklahoma has only attempted three passes thus far, and Perine caught one of them.
Nov 22 - 4:28 PM

Minnesota senior RB David Cobb rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in the school's 28-24 win over Nebraska.

He added 29 receiving yards before exiting following a touchdown run. It looked like Cobb pulled something, but it is unclear if it was his hamstring, quad or something else. We have continued to compare Cobb to Le'Veon Bell after taxes. He has many of the same qualities, just to a lesser degree.
Nov 22 - 3:56 PM

Indiana junior RB Tevin Coleman rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries in the school's 42-27 loss to Ohio State.

Coleman displayed a tremendous amount of long speed in this game, taking advantage of lanes and openings. His play in the last few weeks is astounding, considering Indiana has no passing attack and defenses have tended to stack the box against the Hoosiers. The running back class is an extremely talented group.
Nov 22 - 3:27 PM

Michigan State junior QB Connor Cook completed 16 of 24 attempts for 254 yards and two touchdowns in the school's 45-3 win over Rutgers.

As you can tell by the score, we did not watch the game. Cook and Michigan State were helped by a strong rushing attack, but the Spartans converted a number of passes beyond 20 yards downfield. The Spartans face Penn State next weekend.
Nov 22 - 3:17 PM

Updating a previous item, Arizona State redshirt junior WR Jaelen Strong will not play against Washington State.

There were conflicting reports earlier and we chose to go with a beat writer who said Strong was expected to play after the receiver went the warmups. We apologize for that information being wrong. Strong suffered a concussion last week.
Nov 22 - 1:03 PM

Michigan State redshirt senior Tony Lippett will start at WR and CB against Maryland.

It is senior day, which might be more of a factor in Lippett playing on both sides of the ball as opposed to a lack of depth. We think Lippett is one of the best route runners in all of college football and has come down with acrobatic catches when Connor Cook has trusted him in tight coverage.
