Latest Headlines's Bucky Brooks calls UCLA redshirt junior Brett Hundley a "heady quarterback with the arm talent and athleticism to terrorize opponents with his playmaking ability."

"He has a strong arm and he can extend plays with his athleticism. He deserves a lot of credit for the turnaround in Westwood," Daniel Jeremiah added. The staff ranked Hundley as college football's No. 13 overall player. Charles Davis believes Hundley has an "exquisite combination of size, speed, arm, and smart."

Wisconsin redshirt junior RB Melvin Gordon III rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns in the school's 52-7 win over Maryland.

Gordon III added two receptions for 12 yards, which is worth noting since he is rarely targeted in the passing game. We have gone on and on explaining how good Gordon can be. The obvious comparison is to Jamaal Charles. Some protest the comparison because of frame differences, but it is more from a play style perspective. The Badger should be the most successful Wisconsin running back in the NFL in some time and a top-50 selection.

Nebraska senior RB Ameer Abdullah rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries in the school's 42-24 win over Rutgers.

Abdullah added another 26 yards in the air. Multiple evaluators in recent weeks have attempted to put Abdullah's productive season into perspective from an NFL line of thinking, including out own Cian Fahey. We could see Abdullah being selected in the third- or fourth-round this spring.

Texas sophomore QB Tyrone Swoopes completed 13 of 25 attempts for 106 yards int he school's 23-0 loss to Kansas State.

It was Texas' first time being shutout since 2004. The offense really struggled in this one, only converting 4 of 13 3rd downs. Obviously Texas has taken multiple steps back in recent years as a program, and Charlie Strong has taken the stance of getting worse (by dismissing bad program fits) before getting better. The school needs to win three of their next four to be bowl eligible.

Rutgers senior QB Gary Nova was helped off the field just before half time in the game against Nebraska with a knee injury.

It looked potentially serious, but we won't speculate on specifics. It seems like Nova is in his seventh season as the school's starter. Prior to exiting, Nova complete 8 of 19 attempts for 71 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

One AFC college scouting director believes Alabama junior RB TJ Yeldon will be a better NFL player than he has been in college.

The exec's reasoning? "Because he is used in a rotation, plus he's avoided the high carries that some college backs have accumulated." NFL Media's Albert Breer received comparisons of Darren McFadden and DeAngelo Williams for Yeldon's NFL future. The running back has flashed his best work this season.

NFL execs are still split on Michigan WR Devin Funchess' position at the next level.

NFL Media's Albert Breer spoke with one AFC college scouting director who believes Funchess is "strictly a wideout," while one "veteran exec" sees him purely as a move tight end. Rotoworld's Josh Norris does not wee why a team would line Funchess up inline, so his real role will be as a receiver, either in the slot or out wide. Labels will really only matter for contract purposes. Funchess faces Michigan State's Trae Waynes on Saturday in a great matchup.
Oct 25 - 11:28 AM

Cincinnati redshirt sophomore QB Gunner Kiel completed 13 of 22 attempts for 196 yards and a touchdown versus USF before exiting at halftime with a rib injury.

Kiel has been dealing with a rib injury since the first week of October, and it flared up again in this contest. Kiel added another touchdown on the ground, but his most impressive moments were keeping his eyes up and climbing the pocket. He is just in his first season as a starter, so we do not expect Kiel to contemplate jumping to the NFL. He has made more puzzling decisions before, however.
Oct 25 - 11:09 AM

Oregon redshirt junior QB Marcus Mariota completed 18 of 30 attempts for 326 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the school's 59-41 win over Cal.

It was Mariota's first interception of the season, but that certainly did not negatively mask a great performance. Mariota made big boy throws downfield, including multiple passes that resulted in over 20 yards. He was limited to 36 rushing yards and used his mobility for passing success rather than running. Oregon faces Stanford next week.
Oct 25 - 10:17 AM

West Virginia senior WR Kevin White has drawn 11 defensive pass interference flags this season.

White has been an absolute monster. Josh Norris would say White has emerged as a receiver prospect who wins in the big and small games, a lethal combination. His stiffest test might have come last week against a physical Baylor corner. Production wise, White has amassed 69 catches for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns.
Oct 25 - 10:08 AM

Oregon junior DL Arik Armstead and sophomore RB Thomas Tyner did not travel for the school's game against Cal.

Some might look at this from an injury perspective, but we are not so sure. Team officials did not end the speculation since they did not give a specific reason. Armstead did miss time recently with a left ankle injury (now two of the last three games), but he was confident he would play this week. Tyner did hurt his shoulder last week against Washington. Kicker Matt Wogan was also left at home.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports that "there’s no definitive word" about whether or not Stanford junior T Andrus Peat will declare for the draft at present time.

Everybody and their mother is assuming Peat is a goner after this season, but we'll have to wait until over the winter to get word from the horse's mouth. "I’ve been told all along Peat is concentrating on the season at hand and will move his focus towards the draft after the campaign," Pauline wrote. Peat is likely to go in the top half of the first round.
