Louisville senior WR DeVante Parker injured his left foot in practice on Friday.
Details about the injury are sparse at the moment, and the school doesn't figure to update Parker's status until after he returns from a consultation with Dr. Bob Anderson, an ankle/foot injury expert. "I appreciate all the love," Parker tweeted late Friday night. "I'm fine." We hope he's right, but athletes aren't sent to Anderson for non-serious injuries. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound is one of the nation's best wideout prospects. With a 4.39 forty, a 10-foot, 10-inch broad jump, an 80-inch wingspan, and a ridiculous catch radius, Parker is considered by many to be a future first-rounder. "He's really special," coach Bobby Petrino said of Parker at ACC media day in late July. "He has a combination of size and strength. He can really control his body and make different catches in the air. The thing that excites me as much as anything is his ability to run after the catch. He's a special talent."
