Thomas Mars, the lawyer representing Michigan junior QB Shea Patterson in his quest for immediate eligibility, said that matters are currently at a "standstill."

The snag appears to boil down to a little bit of bureaucracy, as Ole Miss has yet to receive the "full application package" from Patterson and other transferring Rebels seeking immediate eligibility for 2018. The NCAA has received that informational package, but until Ole Miss receives it from the governing body -- Michigan technically already sent it to them, but that does nothing to help matters -- their 10 day period for review of the request has not yet started. Per CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd, once Ole Miss receives the package, "It can make a favorable response, a negative response or no response. The NCAA would then rule at some point after." Patterson and others are arguing for immediate eligibility on the basis that they were misled by former HC Hugh Freeze regarding the extent of NCAA sanctions being brought against the program. Michigan boots up spring practice on March 23.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Wesley put up monster numbers for the Red Raiders in 2019, catching 88 passes for 1,410 yards and nine scores. He's also listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, so that size is sure to intrigue scouts. The questions will come from the production in the Air Raid system, but that's no longer a prospect death sentence. If Wesley tests well, he'll have a chance to be among the first wideouts selected.

West Virginia received a verbal commitment from four-star 2019 JUCO CB Dreshun Miller, who had previously been committed to LSU.

Miller committed to LSU back in June, but with the Tigers reportedly persuing several other cornerbacks, the 6-foot-2, 178-pound corner is making the switch to the Mountaineers. He currently plays at Eastern Arizona Community College, and he's viewed as one of the top defenders in the junior college ranks. Don't be surprised if Miller contributes immediately for the Mountaineers.

Five-star DE Nolan Smith confirmed his commitment to Georgia.

Smith was rumored as a top prospect -- and by top prospect, we're talking about possibly the top prospect in the country -- that could flip, but he announced on Monday that he was "staying home" for the Bulldogs. It's a massive recommitment for Georgia, especially after several top prospects did make a switch from the school to various programs. Signing day is still a bit away, but it sure seems like Smith is going to be playing in Athens.
Dec 10 - 2:28 PM

Ole Miss junior T Gregory Little declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Little (6'6/325) was viewed as one of the best tackle prospects in the class coming into the year, and he didn't do much to change that opinion. He's considered a strong athlete, and reports have indicated that he's made improvements with his footwork and technique to help as a pass-blocker in 2018. He'll have to test well in order to be so, but Little profiles as a first-round pick, with a decent chance of being the first tackle off the board in 2019.
Dec 10 - 2:22 PM

Oklahoma redshirt junior QB Kyler Murray was named a first-team Associated Press All-American on Monday.

It's not as good as the Heisman Trophy -- what is? -- but this is another nice honor for the quarterback. Ten players were elected first-team players from teams that will be playing in the College Football Playoff, and Alabama led all teams with six players selected over the three different levels. The full list of selections can be viewed in the link below.

Georgia received a verbal commitment from five-star 2019 C Clay Webb.

Webb made the decision on Monday, picking the Bulldogs over Alabama, Auburn and Clemson. It's a tremendous get for the Bulldogs, as Webb ranks as the top center in the class, and ranks 22nd overall in 247 Sports composite rankings. You can't guarantee young players playing immediately, but reports indicate that the 6-foot-3, 295-pound center could be ready to roll immediately. Georgia has the third ranked class in the country now according to 247 Sports, and there are several more big-name players considering the Bulldogs.

Missouri redshirt sophomore DE Tre Williams has been suspended after being arrested for suspicion of second-degree domestic assault.

Williams was arrested at his off-campus apartment, but the specifics of the charges have yet to be released. It's considered a Class D felony in the state of Missouri, and Williams was released after paying a $4,500 bond. ""We were made aware of the situation yesterday, and Tre was immediately suspended indefinitely from all team activities," Missouri head coach Barry Odom said in a released statement.

Auburn hired Memphis OC Kenny Dillingham to serve in the same capacity.

Dillingham is replacing Chip Lindsay, who was hired to be the new offensive coordinator at Les Miles at Kansas. The 29-year-old has just one year of being a coordinator, as he was elevated to the position in 2018 when Darrell Dickey left for TExas A&M. Before joining Memphis, Dillingham spent time at Arizona State, working with tight ends.

Michigan junior QB Shea Patterson has not made a decision regarding his NFL future.

Patterson is draft-eligible and could bounce with the 2019 QB class thought of as weak, but Patterson isn't considered a high draft pick, so a return to school is certainly possible. Patterson did commit to playing in Michigan's bowl game against Georgia and so did Chase Winovich. Perhaps his performance in the bowl game will dictate his decision, but Patterson has plans to talk to Harbaugh before a final decision is made.
Dec 9 - 6:06 PM

Ole Miss hired former Colorado HC Mike MacIntyre as defensive coordinator.

It's a three-year deal worth $1.5 million per season. This is not too surprising of a landing spot considering MacIntyre spent four seasons at Ole Miss as an assistant from 1999 to 2002. MacIntyre's defenses at Colorado have ranked 68th, 74th, and 20th in points allowed in the last three seasons and any of those rankings would be an improvement to Ole Miss' 115th ranking this year. MacIntyre is a former AP Coach of the Year (2016), so this is a big hire for the Rebels.
Dec 9 - 5:56 PM

Colorado sophomore WR Laviska Shenault (toe) underwent surgery.

Shenault (6'2/220) battled a turf toe injury for the second half of the 2018 season, but he was in visible discomfort after returning from missed games. The surgery will keep Shenault out of spring football, but he will have plenty of time to recover for the 2019 season. When healthy, Shenault is one of the most dynamic players in the country. Shenault is a candidate to be the No. 1 receiver in the 2020 draft class.
