Patrick Reed has been added to the published field of this week's Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic.
Reed was given the last sponsor exemption after Stephen Ames withdrew. Reed is a non-member, of course, and this is his 12th start of the year, which is the most non-members are allowed (plus THE PLAYERS if eligible). He's banked $302,977 in earnings, which would rank him 172nd on the money list. Therefore, aside from a victory at Disney World, there are two goals within reach. He's currently $316,984 back of No. 125 on the money list. A solo third (worth $319,600.00) would close the gap, but most of the golfers hovering around the bubble are also in play, so he would likely need no worse than a three-way T2 (worth $350,933.33) to finish inside the top 125. More realistic is a crack at the top 150. Reed is $143,490 in arrears of that threshold. A solo eight-place finish (worth $145,700.00) would get that job done without any other movement. Should he finish inside the top 150, he'd be exempt into the final stage of Q School. He was the medalist at his site in the first stage.
