Paul McGinley and Tom Watson are listed in the published field for the PGA Championship at Valhalla in two weeks.

On July 22, the PGA of America updated the field to include both Ryder Cup captains and 31 others, mainly internationals not otherwise exempt. All were slotted inside the top 97 of the Official World Golf Ranking through The Open Championship. World No. 11 Patrick Reed, a pre-tourney 16/1 outright, rebounded for a 3-under-par 32-35=67 in the second round of the Travelers Championship but at 1-under 72-67=139, missed the cut by one shot.

A total of 74 players from a field of 156 made the cut of 2-under 138, 22 (T53) on the number. This is Reed's third missed cut at the Travelers in seven tries, first since 2015. It's his fifth MC of the season in 19 starts, first since the Honda 10 individual starts ago, and was tied fifth on TOUR in consecutive cuts made entering the week. The reigning Masters champ, who checked in off a solo 4th at the U.S. Open, ranked T1 in eagles for the short week with two, but T146 in birdies with just three. He was 80th in SG: Off-the-Tee (0.095) and 106th in SG: Putting at (-0.951). World No. 55 Russell Henley smoothed a bogey-free, 5-under-par 32-33=65 in the second round of the Travelers Championship for a 36-hole tally of 9-under 131, up seven places into a three-way T2, one back of leader and fellow Georgia Bulldog Brian Harman. UPDATE: Henley will play out of the penultimate twosome in R3 with Zach Johnson.

This is the 29-year-old's second appearance after T11 in 2016, where he was a 36-hole co-leader (68-65-65-73). He checked in this week off a T25 at the U.S. Open, his second straight top 25 in a major, and a T29 at the Memorial. The South Carolina resident opened with a five-birdie, one-bogey 66 on 16 greens in regulation, and hit all 18 greens on Day 2, the second time he's accomplished that in 148 career events. The last time was at the 2013 Sony in his third career start and pro debut, also in R2, and went on to win by three. Henley gained 3.622 on approach today and is No. 1 in that stat (5.598) as well as GIR at 94.44 percent (34/36). He carded five birdies at holes 1, 3, 4, 10 and 13, two from between 13 and 20 feet, posting 1.778 putts per GIR and 0.939 SG: Putting with 32 total putts.

Overnight co-leader and World No. 54 Zach Johnson fashioned a bogey-free, 2-under-par 34-34=68 in the second round of the Travelers Championship, dipping one spot into a three-way T2 on 9-under 131, one short of leader Brian Harman. UPDATE: Johnson will play out of the penultimate twosome in R3 with Russell Henley.

The 42-year-old hit 10 (of 14) fairways and 11 greens in regulation, losing 1.088 strokes off-the-tee and 0.443 tee-to-green. He carded two birdies at holes 9 and 13 from 23'2" and 9'0", respectively. The Drake alum nearly had a third birdie at the par-4 third, with his putt from 18'4" coming to rest on the back lip and Johnson taking too long (16 seconds) waiting to see if it would drop. The ball eventually did drop on it's own, but since it took longer than 10 seconds, he had to add one to his score. The Iowa native recorded 1.818 putts per GIR and 2.409 SG: Putting with 27 total putts. His was one of just five bogey-free laps in R2, and he has just one blemish thru 36 holes.

World No. 304 Matt Jones styled a 4-under-par 31-35=66 in the second round of the Travelers Championship for a 36-hole tally of 9-under 131, up four spots to T2, one back of leader Brian Harman. UPDATE: Jones will play out of the final twosome in R3 with Harman.

The 38-year-old landed nine (of 14) fairways and 16 greens in regulation, gaining 1.216 strokes approaching and 3.145 tee-to-green. He squared a lone bogey-4 at 16, his first blemish on the week, outpaced by five birdies at 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10. The ASU alum's split included three conversions from between 14 and 23 feet, recording 1.688 putts per GIR and 0.737 SG: Putting with 30 total putts. This is his highest position thru 36 holes since leading the 2015 PGA Championship, eventually finishing T21 (68-65-73-75).

Making his tournament debut, PGA TOUR rookie and World No. 337 Lanto Griffin painted a career-low, 7-under-par 30-33=63 in the second round of the Travelers Championship for a 36-hole total of 7-under 133, up 71 places on the live leaderboard to T6 and tying the low round of the day and week thus far.

The VCU alum is currently three back of clubhouse leader Brian Harman, chasing an opening three-birdie, three-bogey 70 with an eight-birdie, one-bogey effort on Day 2. He mustered six (of 14) fairways but hit 15 greens in regulation, losing 0.567 strokes off-the-tee but gaining 2.081 on approach and 1.011 around-the-green. The California native, who grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia, recorded a tidy 1.467 putts per GIR and 3.977 SG: Putting with 26 total putts. His split featured two in the 12-to-13 foot range and also saved par at 5 from 22'0". The 30-year-old, who arrived off a missed cut at the U.S. Open in his major debut, bettered his career low (in 52 rounds) by one, previously 64 at the 2018 CareerBuilder/R2.

Beginning off No. 10 tee, World No. 7 Rory McIlroy conjured a 1-under-par 35-34=69 in the second round of the Travelers Championship, dipping two spots on the live leaderboard to T5 on 7-under 133, three shy of 36-hole clubhouse leader Brian Harman.

The 29-year-old hit nine (of 14) fairways and 14 greens in regulation, losing strokes on approach and around-the-green, but gaining 1.510 off-the-tee. He squared a lone bogey-4 at hole 7 (3-putt from 48'9"), slightly outpaced by two birdies at 15 and 2 from 5'0" and 18'5", respectively. The Florida resident recorded a dismal 2.000 putts per GIR and -0.912 SG: Putting, needing 32 total putts.

World No. 13 Paul Casey handed in a 3-under-par 35-32=67 after the second round of the Travelers Championship for a 36-hole total of 8-under 132, up four places on the live leaderboard to T2, two short of clubhouse leader Brian Harman.

The 40-year-old found 11 (of 14) fairways and 14 greens in regulation, gaining 0.823 strokes approaching and 0.918 tee-to-green. He squared three bogeys at holes 1, 3 (3-putt from 34'11") and 13 (tee ball in the water), outpaced by six circles at 2, 7, 11 and a turkey at 15-17. The Phoenix resident's par-breakers included three from between 11 and 20 feet, posting 1.643 putts per GIR and 1.474 SG: Putting with 28 total putts.

Two-time past champ and World No. 20 Bubba Watson painted a 7-under-par 31-32=63 in the second round of the Travelers Championship to post 7-under 133, up 73 spots on the live leaderboard to T4, good for the low round in the clubhouse and three adrift of leader and fellow Georgia Bulldog Brian Harman. UPDATE: With R2 completed Watson's 63 was matched by Lanto Griffin, and he's T8, still trailing Harman.

Beginning off No. 10 tee, the 39-year-old tied the low round of the week thus far after landing nine (of 14) fairways and 16 greens in regulation. He gained 1.285 strokes off-the-tee and 2.731 approaching-the-green. The Floridian squared a lone bogey-4 at 16, smothered by six birdies at 11, 15, 3, 4, 6 and 9, adding eagle-3 at 13 (from 17 inches). His split featured three conversions from between 13 and 20 feet, registering 1.563 putts per GIR and 2.795 SG: Putting with 28 total putts. Both of Watson's wins here (in 11 visits) have come via sudden-death playoffs. He checked in this week off a missed cut by three at the U.S. Open and T44 at the Memorial. Watson is the all-time leader in earnings at the Travelers by nearly a million dollars.

World No. 22 Bryson DeChambeau tacked on a 4-under-par 31-35=66 in the second round of the Travelers Championship for a 36-hole tally of 8-under 132, up seven places on the live leaderboard to T2, two short of clubhouse leader Brian Harman. UPDATE: With R2 completed, DeChambeau is T5, still trailing Harman.

This is the 24-year-old's third Travelers after T47 in 2016 and T25 last year (67-72-66-70). He checks in off a T25 at the U.S. Open and a playoff win at the Memorial as 54-hole leader. The SMU product opened with a five-birdie, one-bogey 66 and hit eight (of 14) fairways and 14 greens in regulation on Day 2. He was bogey-free 5-under thru 11 holes, circling holes 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10, and then outpaced two more birdies at 15 and 16 with bogey-5 at 12 and double bogey-7 at 13 (tee ball in the water and third shot in the water). The California native's split included three from between 11 and 34 feet, posting 1.571 putts per GIR and 3.013 SG: Putting with 27 total putts.

Beginning off No. 10 tee, defending champ and first-round, co-leader Jordan Spieth backed up with a 3-over-par 34-39=73 in the second round of the Travelers Championship, dropping 16 spots on the live leaderboard to T17 on 4-under 136, six in arrears of clubhouse leader Brian Harman. UPDATE: With R2 completed, Spieth is T25, still trailing Harman.

After a season-low 63 in R1, the 24-year-old co-led with Zach Johnson, his second lead/co-lead of the season after any round in 17 starts (R1/Masters). He landed nine (of 14) fairways and 12 greens in regulation, losing 1.985 strokes off-the-tee and 1.044 around-the-green. The World No. 5 opened with a birdie-less, 4-over 39, squaring bogey-5 at 15 (tee ball in the water) and triple bogey-8 at 13 (tee ball OB, fourth shot in the water), and salvaged a 1-under 34 on his second half, outpacing bogey-5s at 2 and 4 with a lone birdie-3 (from 13'4") at 1 and eagle-3 at 6 (from 21 inches). He recorded 1.833 putts per GIR and -1.407 SG: Putting, needing 32 total putts.

Beginning off No. 10 tee, World No. 28 Brian Harman tossed up a 4-under-par 31-35=66 in the second round of the Travelers Championship to reach 10-under 130, up two places on the day and good for the early 36-hole clubhouse lead. UPDATE: With R2 completed, Harman leads three players by one shot, his fourth 36-hole lead/co-lead in 203 events, previously 0-for-3 converting.

The 31-year-old improved to 11 (of 14) fairways and 13 greens in regulation, losing 1.114 strokes around-the-green but gaining 0.866 on approach. He squared three bogey-5s at 10, 15 (tee ball in the water) and 17 (3-putt from 16'9"), offset by seven birdies at 13, 14, 16, 1, 4, 6 and 7, four from between 13 and 26 feet. The Georgia alum also canned two par-savers from between six and 11 feet, and saved bogey at 10 from 11'2". He posted 1.538 putts per GIR and 3.728 SG: Putting with 26 total putts. This is Harman's third 36-hole lead/co-lead of the season in 17 starts (Sentry TOC, finished 3rd; Sony Open, finished T4).
